After loading into what should have been a very simple and generic RPG, the Heroine is so put off by how long the title of the game is that she abandons her adventure to climb up a tower and ask God why the name of the game is so long. However, to gain an audience with God she will need to traverse the Holy Lands, a place full of demons so lustful that you have to sign a consent waiver before entering. Can the Heroine and her friends make it up God’s tower, and ask some questions, or will the only answers be the game you played along the way?

Gameplay Overview
This game is a turn-based strategy rogue-like rpg where your goal is to make it all the way to the end in a single run without your party’s stamina being depleted to 0. The approach is to firstly make a fun game, and have sexual themes interwoven strongly into most aspects of the gameplay. Some gameplay mechanics included are:
Battles revolving around enemy positions. Each enemy type has a different range of effectiveness against your heroines. Pushing and pulling enemies out of their effective range is key for victory in battle.
Random Skills for replayable fun: Skills have a wide range of uses, from changing enemy positions and healing your party to casting massive AOE attacks! Purchase new skills to add to the pool after each run and master their strategies to pull off combos and beat the game.
Random event road maps: chart your course at the start of each zone to choose which landmarks you’ll visit before you reach your destination. Landmarks range to anything from shops to mini-bosses. There’s no wrong way to go as long as it’s forward!
Battle-fuck and Capture systems. Your Heroines might give up the will to fight and have sex with the demons during the battle, and if the heroine’s stamina drops to zero, they will be captured. Find a Slaver camp and you can get them back! …But in a different outfit.
Unlockable shops to expand the hubworld, in classic rogue-like fashion: There will be Shops for skills and items to appear in runs and more!

-This is more of a Quality of life update than meant to be seen as a big content update, there's some new content, mainly a bunch of silly little pixel animations for the heroines. These were made to help the UI and game logic to make more sense, uh, you'll see what I mean.
-There is now a very short animation that when colliding monsters into each other. In my opinion it feels really good to have it.
-Broadhead skill has been changed to now push enemies and then give them BLEED, which is a new debuff that makes enemies take damage when they move. Hopefully you'll be able to combo BLEED with some of your pushing/pulling skills to make short work of enemies inflicted with BLEED. BLEED is a very fun word to say.
-The Rain Ninjutsu skill has changed from an instant heal to double your heroines' recovery stat for a few turns.
-The Mist Ninjutsu skill has changed to give +5 dodge tokens instead of +3.
-Tricky Wizards, Slimes, Archers, and Ropers (I think Imps as well) have all recieved health nerfs. You are now way way way less likely to get a spawn of over 100HP, and i'll just say I no longer die inside from a triple wizard spawn.

The issue with this game is definitely not the art, that looks great. I found the dialogue to be pretty funny, I like the ninja. I could not enjoy this game's gameplay loop to the point of dropping it. I respect the gameplay for being unique and I'm glad it works for others but I found it frustrating. I feel like not enough of the enemies bring unique portraits (for example the vine attacks), most of the time is spent with default portraits, and for how difficult the game is with restarting built into the gameplay loop, there is no actual lewd reward to restarting and that made a game over feel awful, especially when game overs feel inevitable if you don't have items to bail you out. And you don't know which areas give you items until you go there, so you need multiple runs to learn optimal stategy, and runs are actually quite long too. All of these elements of the gameplay make me feel like my time isn't being respected and I'm following a breadcrumb trail of lewd content with no end in sight, with big setbacks along the way (restarting when you lose to the high difficulty loop)

Am I missing something here? Am I stupid? What do people see in this? Obvious issue - gameplay. The combat is a helplessness simulator where after 10 or so turns every square is filled and at least two of your heroines are constricted and don't have the freedom to attack anything else other than the enemy constricting them. Playing to each character's strengths literally only works for the sniper heroine most of the time because the enemies sandwich themselves (and can not be pushed forward or back if there's anyone to the front or back of them) making attempts at comboing completely pointless, because now the knight heroine can't push anyone back so that the ninja can work to her strengths, and vice versa. It seems like the dev spent too much effort into trying to be wacky, meta-commentative, "funny" (wHaT iF i mAdE tHe TiTtLe RiDicULouSLy LoNg aNd bRoKe ThE 4Th wALL wiTH iT i'M sO SmArT) and 4th-wall-breaking that they forgot to account for the actual meat of the game. So at least the art is g- no. Again, I MUST be missing something. All three characters are design-wise indistinguishable from each other, every single one being "gunga bunga muscular woman with yooge tiddies". The only one of the three heroines somewhat pleasant to look at is the knight heroine. The ninja character is unpleasant to look at with colors that do not fit whatsoever in all the wrong places, and the dog-unicorn-huntress-whatever-the-fuck, the dev just pulled a Bo Burnham on her and asked if they could interest us with everything, all of the time. I'm not sure if characters with pinkeye are considered hot to people now, but not to me. Not even the art style saves it, this is just another generic "black round brush on 6px width" style that would put you on the Newgrounds hall of fame 10 years ago. What am I missing here??? In summary, not a good 30 minutes spent and I see why I avoided it before.

One of the most unique titles on this site. A distinct art style and gameplay loop, funny (most of the time) writing, interesting skills and more. It's all just really solid. Even things like the music and UI are quality. The difficulty is definitely on the higher side of the scale, and there are meta skills (anything that deals a lot of damage or stuns), as well as trash picks (any DoT), but all of that can be accounted for after some trial and error. It's definitely not the unplayable RNG fest that some are setting it up to be, especially after the latest updates (though I've heard that wasn't always the case, so perhaps they shouldn't be blamed). Just really good, not much else to say. definitely give it a try.

(v2.117) I really wanted to like this game, but after having put in a total of over 6 hours across multiple occasions, it's just not worth giving it any more chances unless it gets a major rework. The game is definitely not boring, it's fun, for a moment. But then it quicky turns infuriating as you realize that you are entirely at mercy of RNG. Don't get me wrong, there's a difference between playing well and playing bad. The problem is, that even if you do everything right, the game can just decide to make you lose anyway. This by itself sucks, but it's the combination with the overall progression that kills the game. That's why just balancing the game by tweeking enemy numbers won't do anything. The whole gameplay loop needs to be remade from the foundations that are genuinely good. Solution: Make the map much larger with a lot more choices of possible points of interest (PoI) that are repeatable. Make the number of enemies between each PoI set, so that embarking onto the next PoI resets the board. Upon reaching a PoI, depending on what it is, you always get to choose between upgrading stats, healing, getting an item or skill. There should be a reward for the overall progression for each PoI reached, instead of the current system, where you can get absolutely nothing for 30 mins of a failed run. The player should have access to multiple skills and strategize on which skill if any to use. Skills differ vastly in usefulness and right now getting a bad skill at the start can decide the result of the run before you even begin. The player would still need to balance out stamina and sexual resistance, but they would now have options for strategy. The capture mechanic is pointless, as getting even one girl captured is a game over unless you happen to have a slave exchange ticket ready. Perhaps a stun for few turns instead would work.

Ok I am admittly making this review after being pretty mad at this game, but it is a fun game. I am giving it four stars cause it is a very well made game with interesting mechanics and people will find it fun. I, unfortunately, am not really one of those people. The game has super interesting mechanics where heroes do maximum attack damage in zones and can move enemies around so they cannot attack in the zones they are in. Genuinely, really cool and unique. My issue with this game is how it handles its rouge like elements. The game is a rouge like and I enjoy rogue likes, but this game, in my opinion, misses out on one of the key and most fun parts of a rouge like: giving you upgrades so you can see yourself progress. The game does not give you upgrades after each run, it only lets you unlock new items and abilities that you can maybe run into on successive runs. The issue with this is that the game is really hard and it can be easy to get over run. That being said, the game knowledge you get from successive runs is what leads to you winning and getting further in the game, which can be really rewarding. Nonetheless, not being able to get any physically stronger in game makes it feel super static. I got to world two consistently, but the enemies there are so god dang hard that I can barely get to the first checkpoint. The H content in this game is also pretty good but not really focused on, which is fine. I also have an issue with the sex mechanic where the game sorta wants you to get captured so you can get a big buff, but it way too costly and you risk just dying in a run instead. It's still a really good game and if you enjoy a really hard rouge like, then go for it. But I wanted to voice my frustrations and warning people about what the game is before they sink time into it. A really good game, but not for me. Edit: I changed my review to three stars after further thoughts. The game just feels so unbalanced to me and it honestly has me really mad. The probably just isn't for me, but giving the player no way to upgrade their baseline stats and just have them rely on game knowledge is not the play in my opinion. It makes the game way grindier while removing an aspect of rouge likes that makes them fun. I'm also mad at how uninteractive/punishing h content can be and how the game can keep some mechanics hidden (magic being tied to you clicking on a thing running around that a player could reasonably think is just background art is not a good thing). Also certain enemies in world 2 giving a 50% and then 100% damage blocking buff in a game where it is very easy to get overcrowded is equally very unfun. I feel bad giving this game three stars because it is clear there is a lot of effort and love in this game, but the balancing is so frustrating that I feel like I have to, which really sucks cause I really really wanted to enjoy this game.

Some complicated feelings about this one, maybe even feel like 3 stars is a bit rude but for a project that wants to meld gameplay and porn seamlessly it kinda sorta fails imo. Firstly the gameplay, it's an okay and pretty easy to understand gameplay loop but out of a conscious choice quickly becomes tedious. In an effort to make fun of/ be different from other rpgs the combat is never-ending with only brief pauses to maybe buy something here and there which is a fun little joke for the fist 5 minutes then a really monotonous grind for the rest. The roguelike elements pretty much boil down to what starting skills you get and which aforementioned little pauses you come across, a far cry from the more addictive loops from "propa" games Which brings me to the porn (the thing keeping this from being a propa game), it's essentially lose to see and a bit tricky to get the "scenes" you want. Basically it boils down to letting enemies grope you (getting a quick flash of said groping) until your sexual resistance empties and then an enemy will start to have sex with whatever character. The tricky part, other than trying to convince yourself to lose in order to see these scenes, is getting the enemy you want to grope the character you want enough so you can see the sex scene that you want. You only need to see each scene once before it's unlocked in the gallery (of all variations, like if you get groped while clothed you will also have the unclothed version unlocked) but not animated for some reason. It's hard to feel like the gameplay and porn are working together or is a balanced mix like the devs want. There's a little gimmick about your characters getting a damage boost after having sex but that still requires you going out of your way to let enemies get into whatever zone they need to start groping you, hoping they elect to grope instead of normal attack, on the specific character you want to grope, then trying to kill that enemy asap (as your character having sex is out of commission for the duration), for 2 turns of extra damage...no thanks brah. There isn't any defeat scenes or any other way to see porn to my knowledge other than the combat sex| The art is pretty good with a unique charm and the game itself is definitely witty, I just think there's better places to go for rougelike gameplay and better places to go to beat your dick.

review for version 2.81 Gameplay: This is the sort of game that's most notable for it's gameplay, even though the graphics are really good too. It's quite challenging AND grindy and has frustrated me many times, and yet I keep coming back to play it. A sort of rogue-lite with puzzle elements. Don't play if you just want to have a wank, or don't have plenty of time on your hands, or don't want to use your noggin. It is true that this game has some rather debilitating bugs in its current state. Not too many bugs overall, but they can hit pretty hard when they do occur. You will likely have to abandon your current run, which can mean losing over an hour of time. I've had two such bugs in ~8 hours of game time already (not counting the time that was lost). Not good. Even worse in a game that's already quite a timesink. Visuals: Great graphics, nice unique style. Everyone's thicc and has big tits. Expect to see lots of imaginative monster girls and groping attacks against your heroines. Audio: Nice fitting music and sounds. Never gets annoying. Fappability: Don't expect to have a cozy fap session while playing this. The idea is to enjoy the sexy atmosphere and unlock new pictures for the gallery, so that you can enjoy them in peace later. Unlocking everything is quite a long grind though. I am still very far from unlocking everything after 8 hours. Content amount: Version 2.81 calls itself a demo. I find it is much more than that. You get two "levels" that appear to be fully realized, or are at most missing very little. Each level takes around an hour to complete. Every gameplay mechanic appears to be fully functional. There's lots of fun to be had with this version already. Score: 4 out of 5. Half a star minus for the bugs and another one for the high difficulty and grind. Everything else is awesome.

This game has the potential to be pretty great, but it's not quite there yet. The main issues are that it's buggy, like the game errors out sometimes and breaks (like a soft crash) which allows me to quit or start over (or keep playing but when it happens it happens because i can't keep playing) I've had 3 fatal crashes like hat ruin my runs, i've never managed to get very far in this game because it always crashes sooner or later like this. With how simple the game is, it's extremely surprising to me htat it's this broken. The other issue is sexual content, only way to get it from what i've seen so far is when enemies grope the heroines (which flashes for literally one second, it could afford to be 3 or 4 seconds so you have time to see the artwork tbh) and to wait until that happens enough until the sexual resistance is all the way down and then the next enemy will fuck that girl and you get an artwork and a simple animation along with some moans to go with it. That's cool, but it's not enough, and you will sometimes go like 30 minutes without this happening depending on how you play. There's another way which is to just buy potions that instantly start the sex but it's kinda a waste of resources which is a big no-no in a roguelike like this. The game could afford to have more sexual content, maybe some cutscenes and sexual attacks from the heroines insteado f just the enemies. This could be the start of something great, but only if the dev at bare minimm fixes the breaking bugs that make it impossible to finish a playthrough. The game I don't find particularly difficult, it was mostly intuitive to me once I figured out the effective zones of the heroines and how to use push/pull strategies to control the battlefield. How easy it is each run depends very heavily on what skills you get though, some skills make things really easy but most of the skills are pretty meh. The only real danger is new enemies with special abilities (like blockroaches) since if the winning strategy is to kill those first, you won't know, until they're well on their way to killing you.

4/5 This game was created with enthusiasm and love. As of version 2.72, I believe it can only be rated 4/5 at the moment, as the game is only 2/3 complete, if not less. Once the development is finished, I will return and update my review accordingly. Good: 1. Hand-Drawn CGs and animation: As I mentioned "the game was created with enthusiasm and love. " It weirdly reminds me of Futanari di Funghi when playing. Overall the art is good. 2. Unique Gameplay: While the gameplay isn't entirely unique or one of a kind, it is indeed not the common type. It reminds me of "Necroking" on my first run. But overall, it's quite good for both the concept and the design for a team of only two developers (if that is true). Bad: 1. Excessive Grinding: The amount of grinding required is overwhelming, to a point where simply I give up and modify the save file to unlock all the CGs. (I have a full CG save file uploaded in the thread) The problem is not just grinding, but grinding without feeling rewarding, I see no 100% in sight even if I grind for 50 hours. I strongly suggest that the developers consider one (if not both) of the following changes: - Add an option to allow the game to run at 2x or even 4x speed. There's no need to repeatedly watch the animation for the arrows flying or to witness what each demon does after your turn. The gameplay animations could be streamlined, similar to "One Step from Eden". - Increase the rewards for catching a demon, maybe show one random CG of the character who used the power to catch the demon. Then that means players have a chance to view all 4 CGs of a character, just by catching demons/monsters. A game of this type should be designed to allow players to achieve 100% completion in a maximum of 15 hours (at least for the amount of content as of V2.72). This way, players can focus on the enjoyable aspects of the game (the excellent CG and gameplay) and avoid leaving negative comments about the grinding. 2. Frustrating Bugs: There aren't many bugs in the game. But if you ever encounter one, you have to abandon your progress to restart. The game does not save after each checkpoint, and since the game relies heavily on RNG, the loss of a good run due to bugs can be particularly frustrating. I can vaguely recall a situation where the game became stuck. After encountering an event on the map, and before the sprite fully appears, you can still click the map icon and open the map, and you can even select the next destination. However, upon closing the map, the game got stuck, as it seemed to want to automatically open the map for me to choose a destination when I had already done so. This caused the event sprite not to appear, forcing me to abandon the run and restart.

Review for v2.70 I personally want to like this more than I really do, but I also don't think a three star rating is fair. As a lover of roguelikes I can definitely get the appeal of Some Heroines Climb Up a Tower to Ask God Why the Game Has a Name That's So Long, but I think the game feels a little too tedious for my personal preferences. I love the whole aesthetic of the game. Unique characters, fun comedy, lots of interesting designs, and the art has a ton of charm. No complaints on that front. The tedium for me comes down to the gameplay. I think the concept is fun with the movement-based abilities and having each party member sort of control an area. You essentially play off of combos and weave in abilities to manage the board before getting overrun. But for me that ends up turning into what feels like a slog. Mainly because it's pretty easy to get overran by enemies, especially when a boss shows up, and also because the travel time between map locations runs so long that it feels almost never-ending in a way. It's also a little too RNG dependent imo. Now there's a lot of ways you can minimize that for yourself, but more often than not I felt like I was getting fucked over by it. Maybe I just suck which is fair, but it just feels like there's too much to manage really is maybe more of the issue. Again, a bit tedious. The game seems more about how much you can limit damage since you can't really avoid it. I suppose you can say that about a lot of roguelikes, but playing this you'd get more what I mean. It feels so easy to go from doing great, to then one of your heroines gets stun-locked in a sex scene and it happens to be the one enemy at full hp outside of your other heroines preferred zone. Also you got no stamina, and next turn a different enemy depletes it and now you're down a second party member and it's time for a restart. Perhaps just a skill issue shrug. My other gripe is with the sex scenes. It's all battle fuck content. Now "losing" to enemies to get the scenes can be beneficial because if you knock them out of it you get a buff which is nice, but I still really dislike having to almost micro manage everything just to unlock that one sex scene with a specific enemy. Once again, feels more tedious than anything. It would maybe help if there were scenes outside of that, especially with so many hot NPC designs, but to my knowledge there's none of that (no idea if it's planned though). But I think if you're coming here for the sex, you're gonna get annoyed with it more than anything. It just makes me want to download a gallery save because the art itself is really good and worth seeing. Don't want to grind it all out to get it myself though. TLDR - Didn't hate the few hours I spent on the game, but I don't really have a strong desire to keep going with it. Didn't click enough with me and unlocking all the lewd stuff just feels like a hassle. That being said, the game still has a lot of charm and effort going into it. Try it if you like roguelikes at the least.

I don't want to fight normal mobs for another 30 minutes to get to my end. It feels rewarding to get a glimpse at the actual fap material that's somewhat controllable but holyfawk. Phenomenal game! This is exactly what I've been looking for; a game that blends in fantastic roguelike mechanics with great combat sex scenes. It is quite difficult but not in a grindy sense but in just the mechanics, which I love. As somebody who loves tactical strategy games such as X-COM, I immediately fell in love with this game within the first 30 minutes. You can definitely see the love poured into this game, and I hope the developers never stop adding more content!

I was very shocked how much I liked this game. The artwork from first glance did not seem that appealing, but after playing it definitely has its charm. In terms of a hentai game, the breasts on the characters were good enough to get me going, but the Gallery/Capturing system is a bit tedious to complete. Now, I actually really like the gameplay loop and the fact that the developer has put actual thought into the mechanics and difficulty. The dialogue being unserious as ever is a lot of fun and with the right RNG I was able to defeat the second area. The replayability is definitely there, but I'd love to see an actual ending and more heroines in the future! Great Game! Oh and the Music has NO right to be as Good as it Is. Love the Vaporwave, Earthbound/Undertale vibes I get from it, a perfect fit for the unserious vibe! However, I was a bit let down by Area 2's music since it took such a different turn, not nearly as catchy in my opinion.

Gave it three and a half hours. If the dev sees this, the main problem is it takes too long/much to clear a single enemy since they can freely change places even on diagonals. Meta progression from run modifiers to equipment to just 'put points in for more stats, permanently' would improve the gameplay experience greatly. Putting in a modifier that removes all permanent stat upgrades from such a meta-progression system would probably be the cleanest answer to this without compromising the original vision of the game. It could be a much, much better gameplay experience but currently I couldn't put up with it for the art style alone as it proved too frustrating to try to manage the board. Edit: Changed to five because the dev addressed this, woo!
