Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius

It's important to note that this one game actually constitutes 2 parts. You play First Arrival First. In fact, just by playing First Arrival, you'll get to the end of the game as there's nowhere in the game that says "Part 1" done. There was only one nude scene in the entire game so I would avoid this if you're looking for sexual content. The game is sci fi in nature and is a strategy RPG. The SRPG sections weren't very responsive and lack a lot of quality of life features. The game is also meant to be difficult and each battle is longer than the last. Thus, battles are harder not due to quality of enemies, but due to the sheer quantity of them which may make them feel more and more tedious. Unfortunately, there is no way to actually grind repeatedly to make your units stronger. However, there are multiple difficulty settings to get past the average SRPG gameplay. Where this game really shines is in its storytelling. It depicts the horrors of war and the fact that evil and good are relative. It also focuses on the victims of war and they react to it. Also, none of your choices for the women have any sort of pay off in this version, but I'm assuming they have payoff in the next game.

4.4/5 Really Great, well above the average especially given its unique gameplay Just sad that developer kept making it worse and worse, especially the last one and side one, which both feel like a different group made them and wanted to scrap the ogs. Very fun to play and Great Story with likeable characters. If series did not get worse each installment and that includes the side things, this would have been really terrific ip/series for good, but these first 2 deserve to be enjoy for certain (and the sunrider academy side one which is a VN on a what if they had a ""normal"" high school life instead of space combat). *obvious note read tags this not really much in Adult Cultured Content*
