It's decent game, but you need to check quests on every single step or you will miss something, which completely ruins flow of the game. You have replay mode which helps unlock things you missed, so that helps with this somewhat.
Great art and there is an actual game in this game, but gameplay is designet to waste your time as much as posible everything takes soooooo much time dialogue that you can t skip, boring fights that pose no chalange just wast like 5 min of your time and so on. Not worth it
It's fine. I decided to stop after a couple hours because it didn't seem worth it, but maybe it gets better later? The dialogue's pretty good, and there are plenty of fun characters. The premise isn't sexy, the gameplay is mostly clicking and re-clicking around, broken up by a combat system that would be fun if there were ever any deckbuilding elements and short, uninspired scenes. The combat's okay, but there doesn't seem to be much to do with it, and it isn't sexy . Maybe later in the game it becomes a deckbuilder - one where you can pick skills that go into your deck, and specialize your character - but that sure doesn't seem to be the gameplay focus. Instead, you just click on things. You wander around clicking until you've clicked on everything you can, then re-click things you already clicked in the hopes that something new popped up, then when you think you're done the chapter ends and you find out you missed something. The game lets you replay the chapter to find things you missed which is fine, but why make me waste my time wandering around until I happen to find the right button to hit? There's nothing fun or sexy about that. In some ways the game is respectful of your time. The Quest Log system tells you when something's available, if you missed something important, or if you just have to wait to trigger the next event. Then again, if all I'm doing is scene-finding, and if I have to replay an entire chapter to try to find what I missed the first time, why not just put icons on the screen that tell me where to go next? After a couple hours I had to replay a chapter three times to find everything, and there were only two okay scenes. Maybe it gets better later, but it feels like a ton of effort for very little payoff.
The art is nice. Dialogues and characters are also good. Story is interesting, combat system is okay too. I still think this game obviously needs a save system with more slots or a better walkthrough but they kinda solved this problem with the replay system. Truly a five stars game.
Having a blast with it! Obvious labor of love. Very high production value. - Crafted by a small team of two. Seriously talented devs. Very nice amount of content already. Greatly dig the art style! Girls are GORGEOUS. Hard to pick a favorite - but for me that's Holly. Lots of interesting characters with quite a bit of depth. It's FUN to get to know them and learning more about what drives each of them. Plot is captivating. Dialogues are well-written and fun to read. Didn't get bored once. On the contrary. As for the naughty bits : You don't have to wait long. Which is a good thing in my book. The flow is nice. Lewd scenes are well interwoven with story progress. It's very easy to replay every part of the game directly from the start menu. That's a neat feature. Everything is very well thought out. I could go on with the praises. But do yourself a favor and give try it.
this would be a good game if it weren't for the plot. there are interesting things here, but they don't let you enjoy them, you crash into this plot like a fly into a glass and you can't change anything.
This game has an incredible level of detail/polish when compared to most games on this website. It legitimately seems like it was made by a genuine, albeit small game studio. I really enjoy the card/deck combat and actually don't think the challenge level is too high at all for casual players as long as you're willing to retry fights with different builds and strategies. I do wish there were slightly more card options, but I'm sure that will expand as the game progresses. Releases also seem to be fairly regular which is always a plus for people like me that don't like trying out games that aren't released reliably. 5/5
Story is as good as the art, devs have made some QoL improvements since the beginning (restart chapters from a certain point for example), fights are toughs, sometimes unfairs, but feels good to win them. Can't wait for it to grow further. Even more now that's the story is really starting to kick in. Keep up the good work !
A rare 5/5 from me. The world created is good, the story so far seems to be pretty decent, girls are hot and there's one for each kind of taste. There are a lot of minigames, each has it's charm, some are dependant on random. And fighting with soup was a thing that made me go over the top. Interesting, polished project with people knowing what they're doing.
REVIEW Sunrise City STORY: 4/5. It is one of the biggest attractives of the game and they handle it very well, it is interesting, it has subplots and the main one is interesting. GAMEPLAY: 4/5. Great gameplay, varied mini-games, sub-quests that are discovered as the game progresses, and the combat system is quite well done. SCENES: 3/5. The scenes are incredible but I give it a low grade due to the small number of scenes there are. They are like 3 or 4 in main and secondary. CONCLUSION: 4/5. Great game, innovative, good story management, good gameplay management. A very, very accertive game.
The game makes you fail "stories" you did not even knew existed blocking out "stories" which makes you UNABLE to progress other "stories" you managed to find. "story" tells you to go see Grimm so you do that ... only to get told you have to finish Step 6 of Strong and Soft What is Strong and Soft you ask? I don't know and could not find out despite starting over scouring the game world every chance I got. What a mess. The art is the only reason it gets 2 stars.
v0.7.2 Art style is great but the game needs some QoL improvements. A couple I could remember: The bedroom and bathroom doors in the main character's apartment appear to be swapped based on the angle of their respective doors. The clickable elements do not feel intuitive enough. Holding ctrl to highlight them seems like a band-aid solution. It would have been easier to just have a save and load system instead of having to track your way back from a specific spot in the story. It's frustrating that you can fail and miss certain side quests and having to reload (see above point) to try again.
One of the best constructed games i've seen in a lot of time. Every part of it truly makes you feel like you're playing a big game insteand of only an erotic one. It's a pleasure that this game is free because that way it can reach many more people who will enjoy it
The story is quite well written (in fact, the french version is really nice) and the plot is originial enough for you to want to read the dialogues. The combat system is good, simple enough that you can win easily when you have a good understanding of the mechanics, but you still have to pay attention on the opponent's deck. It's only lacking real animations during the sex scenes. Very good job
I like the art style there very good looks nice, the fighting is easy and interesting will being interesting to more with that and, being able to return and try to find scenes I missed. I cant wait to see more updates.
Truly an AMAZING game! I offen say that great games deserve an evaluation, even if simple so that, above all, it brings joy and inspiration to developers to keep doing an excellent job. This game contains multiple aspects that will make anyone excited and eager to keep playing. Congratulations.
This one was interesting and frustrating. The story is interesting, and wastes very little time. The characters have different personalities, and provides some dating material for most people. What was frustrating about the progression though, is that you would so incredibly easily skip something important, and have no idea you did it. The game actively punishes you for just enjoying the story, and interacting with what is presented to you. I nearly clicked on everything i possibly could, and still somehow missed out on several important events. But fear not, use the replay function! so that i did, and i noticed i missed an event at the very start in the shop. Well i tried over and over to play it in every imaginable different way, and no matter what i did i never got the secret path required for a h-scene. At the same time the combat is not skip able after you've beat it, which is something that would be so incredibly easy to implement, but none the less, it forces you to do battles over and over again, which added to the already frustrating situation of replaying. Then i tried to get the VIP nighty grace thing, but apparently i didn't have enough money, so i went back to the start again, and i realize it says i already earned the money, so it is now impossible for me to replay her scenes. So I'm not super impressed by the coding so far. But to progress the story, you have to expose dangerous secrets to friends and enemies, which seems like an incredibly dumb thing to do, but it's necessary for several h-scenes, pretty much making your decisions pointless as there's constantly only one right answer, and it's rarely the rational one. I'm being followed by an incredibly dangerous organization, not to mention a hacker is listening in on my phone. How could i even feel remotely safe to tell anyone anything that I'm supposed to keep a secret? Not to mention the incredibly cliche beginning, that i jokingly said would happen, and then it instantly did, making me burst out laughing. And why are there punching sounds when you cum inside someone?! that was so off putting, i thought the chick beat me up out of nowhere or something. One thing i will say tho is that i like a lot of the friendly dynamics, particularly with the dog rivalry. I wanted to learn about these characters, and the h-scenes weren't entirely random, which was nice. The art style is great (though i wish it was animated), and i hope this game ends up with a great story. (And less cum punches) Not to mention story hints, so you know you're about to miss something.
Cute game about a teenager studying to become a detective. It plays like a hidden object clicker game with a few mini games like combat, investigations and timed puzzles. Pros: Good story with interesting characters Good art in non H scenes. Puzzles are cute and interesting Soundtrack is nice Cons: Little H content Too many giant balloons H scenes don't have female sounds A lot of trial and error to figure out what you have to do GIANT CON: Really bad save system, you have a single slot. The game is divided in mini chapters and if you miss anything you have to repeat them. You CANNOT restart you current chapter and if you try to do it it will delete your entire save. I could easily see myself giving 5 starts to the game, but getting my save deleted while trying to restart the chapter was really low blow. If the devs can get a decent save system with several slots and include a proper option to restart a chapter this can be a great game. They should also include a second layer of protection and warn the player and ask for confirmation about deleting the entire save.
Good Art, Interesting Story, Funny Dialogue. One of the few games I actually enjoy playing without there being too much (sexual) content. The fighting game is of course not really innovative, but with the interesting character design and the battle tree everything seems very fresh and fun to play.
Absolutely an enjoyable piece. Even though personally I do not find the art style arousing, I still enjoyed the game very much. What's outstanding: - Great storytelling . The story is fluent and absorbing; the writing is of good quality and actually makes me want to read it line by line without skipping. Not many games on this site had such writing quality that impressed me so. - Good art and sound . Though I said the art style isn't exactly to my erotic taste, if considered as a non-erotic VN, the game provides an awesome visual and audio experience, especially the facial expressions combined with sound effects. Works seamlessly with the story and gameplay. - Combat system is fun . Although the combat system is still under development, it already shows potential. Each enemy, even the minions, has his/her unique deck. It's not much in the entire deck-building game genre, but it's already very outstanding compared to other erotic games. - Replay function . Okay, this, is exactly what every game developer should learn from. At the first glance it seems unreasonable to provide only one single save slot, but the replay function solves everything. Basically, after completing a chapter, you can get notified of and given a chance to collect every hidden piece of key information and every optional side story that you could have possibly missed, WITHOUT having to load a super early save file and replay through the entire game . This is a BRILLIANT design. On the replay panel you can see every check point and the side stories/info that matters based on timeline. The ones you missed will be represented as question marks. You can then load a checkpoint right before the question mark and try to find what you didn't notice. After you collected what you need, click SAVE and the missing side story/info will then be directly added to your current latest progress just as if you never missed them on your first playthrough . Every linear game that has both a bunch of hidden collectibles and a single optimal path should absolute learn from this, instead of forcing players to rely on walkthroughs. As of v0.6a sexual content is quite limited and the ability tree is still being implemented. Looking forward to future version.
