In "Swing the Spoon", you take on the role of a young man who has lost his job as a chef and is living a life without prospects. By a stroke of luck, he comes into some money one day and decides on the spur of the moment to open his own small restaurant. He finds a closed, older restaurant with an adjoining apartment building, which he rents from Patricia, the landlady. Patricia and her bitchy daughter Liz, who used to run a restaurant themselves, sense an opportunity and want to work for him, which he gratefully accepts, of course... Spoiler But that's when the real adventure begins, because in addition to running the restaurant, the three of them also have to get along outside of opening hours, which is not always easy in this unusual shared apartment. Whether it's Liz's bitchy nature and her habit of avoiding any kind of work, or Patricia's dream of having her own little garden, it never gets boring here. On the contrary, with each new roommate, there are more opportunities for flirting, massaging, spying, and much more... In order to be able to pay salaries and rent week after week, you should keep your employees happy, buy the right ingredients, keep an eye on cleanliness (or supervise others while they clean...) and constantly expand your kitchen equipment and restaurant. Of course, you'll still have plenty of time to "hang out" with your roommates, explore the house and all its rooms, and check out the area around the restaurant. Discover new places, hit the gym, open up creepy basement rooms, visit the bank to flirt with the cute teller next door, and much more... What else needs to be said.. In "Swing the Spoon", it is particularly important to me to build a real "relationship" with the characters in the game while playing. This is achieved by engaging with the traits and preferences, but also the problems and difficulties, of the various personalities. I deliberately chose not to include a utopian number of women without "soul" or character, who are then "processed" within a few moments of gameplay. Instead, I preferred to include a few selected characters with (hopefully) interesting and appealing traits that make you want "more"... This may not be suitable for everyone, as you need to have a little patience and perseverance to achieve the corresponding successes and scenes... but it will definitely be worth it, I promise. It is also very important to me that the player's (your) attention and ingenuity are rewarded. There are numerous scenes and situations that can only be seen/achieved through exploration, diligence, or logical conclusions. (Of course, the game can be completed entirely without these scenes...no one should be forced to spy on their neighbors...)

Demo (0.4xx) Introductory chapter (Chapter 0) + Chapter 1 (approx. 2-4h) All game mechanics are already in place (however, some are not yet relevant or applicable in demo). Currently approx. 1200 renders (without using any AI, of course). Available languages are currently English and German. Translations into other languages are not planned at this time, but may be possible later (maybe through the community).

Game with potential. It has good art and very good-looking characters, especially the Oldwoman and Bush. The story has a cool premise. Con: - Progresso meio lento e algumas missões são confusas a indicações - O up de Skills é bem confuso e lento. Tornando muito repetitivo. - Os status caiem muito rapido. Improving these details gives it potential. For a demo, it's impressive for its size.

Another case of "I can't make an interesting game so repeat a load of actions to spare me the effort". Game consists of do this 5 times, do that 5 times, do more 5 times. Little to no indication of progress. In-game guide while nice to have, is next to useless when paired with the energy, food, mood system. Skills required for most things, you train these in various ways. The computer for example can raise your intelligence in steps. However, having gained the max points from the novice course you might expert to move on to the next course yet I am too stupid to do the next course and nothing can be gained from the previous, so I am now doomed to be forever retarded. Last gripe though there are plenty more, My resteraunt, the main story point of the game has been cleaned and ready to open for weeks (and bare in mind it is played by the hour) yet is there any hint of how to open it and make some money? No, no there is not. Quitting for now to await updates, guides etc There is potential here but I get the impression the dev is after a cash trickle type game rather than something enjoyable and of quality as so far it is all blind grind with hints of frustration and zero enjoyment.

The premise is really good, with ok to decent render quality and LI choice but the sandbox is confusing as to what you have to do and I can't see what it brings other than ruining a nice story, as it's very grindy. Such a shame as I love CC, another restaurant based VN. If you enjoy the grind, then you may love it.

This would be a great VN if it was an actual VN. Instead this suffers from the usual open exploration grindy tropes that so many of its ilk suffer from. The stats depend on heavy amounts of grind that I couldn't see anyone enjoying. And the dev even gives the MC a $10,000 bonus to assist the reader at the start, but there's so much grind I could easily see some poor shmuck run out of money based on how long it was taking me to get any meaningful status updates in this. Additionaly the decisions are very few and far in between. Not to mention the lack of H scenes to keep the grind rewarding of any kind. Dev, I say this in all sincerity. Stop wasting everyone of your readers time. Make this a story about the people and the decisions they can make. Anyone who enjoys this kind of grind is either a masochist or is in search of severe meaning in their lives. So do us all a favor. Remove all of the grindy BS that only adds up to false longevity meaning nothing to the reader or the story and just feels like a chore. Respect our time. We all have jobs. We don't need to feel like reading your VN is another one. Next make the MC smarter than a fifth grader. Bro thought he was a chef working at a Wendy's and evidently dropping a pen on the ground in order to reach down and pick it up simply to look up a chick's skirt is a concept way too high for this genius. This moment at the beginning seriously made me ask, "is this guy actually retarded?" (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻ Otherwise the models are good looking and the story would be fun if the rest of this was any symblance of enjoyable. So yeah, that's it. As always I wish this developer the best of luck. I hope they receive the support they're looking for and if you enjoyed this VN don't let my review sour your opinion. Write your own review. Let the dev know what you liked and what you didn't. Cheers.
