Running Simulator.... oh... sorry. Tame It Too! is a second part of very good game from Manka Games. And as every second part: Its worse than the first part. At this stage there is not much to do: The game should be a mix from RPG and town build simulation. You get an interesting story until now. But not really something you can said its playable. Yes, you can build houses. No, you cant manage the habitents properly. Yes, you can breed some monster girls. No, its not in the main game. Yes, there is a story. No, its not smooth. Yes, you are most of the time running around. No, it doesnt make sense to do this in an open world. I think the first part of the game could be done without open world, because its straight questing without any choices to make. After you enter the valley, there is not much content left. Also: A fucking journal help/ hints would be nice. Its really annoyed me to run around and not know what to do.
Played version 0.9.2.152 Android version I was not even able to play. The introduction warning scene and the cat girl letting you know of bugs runs silky smooth. But then you get to the menu and the chugs commence and dear lord the frame rate becomes zero when you actually play the game. It chugs really bad in game. I would wait for more updates before trying this again. I'll update the review when I can actually play the game
The story mode is filled with nothing but tedious chores and backtracking, while dealing with the unnecessary survival mechanics. Go fetch 20 rocks, go back turn it in, go fetch 20 twigs, etc. Whoops gotta click on some food and water JPGs; whoa amazing immersion! That sort '''gameplay'''. There's almost no payoff for this, and I strongly suggest you just ignore it and choose... The simulation mode, basically a colony sim, on the other hand could actually be interesting and fun since you just send others out to do the boring collection shit while you manage your base and fuck monstergirls; but for reasons I can't comprehend the awful story mode is getting most of the dev time instead of this. Right now this is far worse than the first game, added nothing but more chores and tedium; but if the dev comes to their senses and focuses on the sim part of the game this might be salvageable.
This game run like shit on mobile i have no doubts author never tested the port animated menu by itself eat all the FPSes game don't even let you change quality of graphics without crashing game also railroad the story from previous one, making playing it feel like waste of time since 2 hours of play got summarized in intro slides 18+ warning seems insufficient/risky basically game flash you with tits before you can read the warning and without you having to confirm anything - i mentioning it because it shows lackluster development and using demo/work in progress as excuse from the very start of the game game is also massive performance haul in resting state - aka paused/inactive Restarting the game on Very low provide barely okey framerate to kind of play - yest i had to restart because animated menu cost too much performance to re-calibrate Game feature all the mechanic of survival horror hunger, thrist, energy, stamina making whole thing very frustraiting for person who play porn games for interactive indie adult theme games Game ask if you wanna be told how to play, but its a lie you are being bombarded with text and most basic: "use camera to look around" i will have to write the game as non for me however mobile port is inexcuseable even with top of the line gaming phone you will struggle to run it
A trash game with this type of control for android. It's also unclear why they changed a static game to a third-person game, and in such a way. Why couldn't you make an update or make the second part the same as the first part?
Game's okay as a prototype, with good visuals and decent idea. Since it's an early version I won't discuss lack of content. However certain core aspects already feel flawed. These can be summed as "survival aspects just for the sake of it". The game in its current state isn't really a survival simulator, the only way to die quickly is to aggro a crocodile. However there are certain needs like hunger, thirst and warmth that slowly and irritatingly reduce your health if unsatisfied, but they don't require any strategy and planning, the resources are abundant and these needs are satisfied with some negligible (but repeatable and irritating) effort. So these mechanics exist for the sake of it, they are sorta externally attached to the gameplay loop to make it more tedious. (Or maybe they ARE a gameplay loop since there's not much to do anyway). Same can be said about energy and low speed of travel, you slowly run around the massive island and gather a limited amount of bamboo and meat and then you're tired for the rest of the day. People complain about being lost on the island, but even when you figured out directions, moving around still remains tedious. Some sort of quick travel would resolve this issue but dev said that they'll implement "a way of running quickly for a limited time" which in my opinion will only exacerbate frustration, not relieve it. As I said gameplay loop is currently nonexistent, you run around, set up camp, fuck a few girls aaaaand that's it. It's hard to say how it will look in the future, so I give the game four stars in advance, because the visual foundation is really good. Will get back to it in a year.
I am very hyped up to play this game and even more eager to play as this game goes through more development. I feel in love with the developer games that has been created since Tame it. I hope to see every more creation to come forth from this developer.
Not really sure how to rate this. I feel.. I donno, ambivalent about it? The game is a fetch quest with a clunky movement system bogged down with a water/hunger system. Now, theres nothing wrong with survival elements, however when the movement system is so damn clunky, it just becomes a massive chore, especially when you cant sprint or jump. To save people some time; When you get to the camp, just activate the breeding system when it pops up, the story is irrelevant, you fetch some items, drop them on the 'story' girls and you have sex with them. Thats it, and for some reason, despite the 2 girls in the story supposedly being important (why else would they be part of the story?), their models are the worst out of the lot, they look low poly and the texture looks low res. All of these issues can be fixed obviously and they likely will be. But right now it just seems at best average in all aspects. If the dev is reading this, what I would focus on is quality of life improvements. A better movement system and a clear divide in what is in the game and what is not. I spent an hour looking for the last stone tablet because I thought thats what I needed to do to get the sails so I could actually play the game. Also, update the models, your art style isnt bad, its just low res and low poly.
