The Contract is an adult Ren'Py visual novel by ArcaneNSFW. You play as David, who travels to another city with his mother and sister to meet family. The story uses 2D CG character art and presents a male protagonist, romance, and multiple endings.
The current build is v0.3, released August 5, 2025, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows and Linux in English and is uncensored. The latest update introduced Evelyn and Lucy as story characters with their own introductory scenes. It also added a new voice that disturbs David during key moments, while his intrusive thoughts become more present and shape decisions. Sprites now dim and glow to show the active speaker, and a subtle overlay helps characters stand out in dialogue. Temporary backgrounds made with The Sims 4 received a color filter for consistency and may be replaced later.

I've been using

to create temporary backgrounds. The last update had them unfiltered, but to match the aesthetic of earlier scenes, I’ve added a

just for the sake of consistency. These will most likely be replaced once I can upgrade the art.
Script Improvements:
Went back through the script to improve pacing and make the dialogue feel more natural. Feel free to replay if it isn't your first time for a better experience!

A Final Note on Censorship:
Due to recent platform restrictions and shifting guidelines, if—

main themes of the story may be slightly adjusted
in future builds. However, my goal is to preserve the original idea no matter what.
