The Hourglass is a Ren'Py visual novel from creator Stormmie, rendered with animated 3DCG art. You play a young man who lost his parents and enlisted in the army, aiming to become the best soldier possible before an unexpected turn overturns his life. It blends dating sim choices, combat moments, and humor.
The current build is the first release, version 0.1, and development is ongoing. It was issued on November 17, 2022, for Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, with no censorship. The initial version includes 330 renders, one animation, nine songs, and twelve sound effects.
