The Mystery of NTR is an adult visual novel made by Hortn with Ren'Py, presented through animated 3DCG. You follow Jake, a college dropout who lost everything after a failed business and returns to his family's secluded house on the outskirts of town. As odd events spread through the home, his relatives begin behaving in unsettling ways. Jake remains the central viewpoint character, while Rose, a landlady whose relationship can be altered, becomes a second main focus. Her presence seems tied to the house's secrets. The story explores horror, corruption, and cheating, and offers multiple endings.
The current build is v1.0.5, released February 8, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, in English, with no censorship. The latest update added the Corruption portion, about 14,000 new words, 138 new CG, and 3 new animations. Earlier updates expanded Obsession, Resistance, and Corruption routes, plus extra stories and free Halloween content.

The story follows
Jake

Something is wrong.
As strange and unsettling events unfold inside the house, the family he once knew begins to act disturbingly out of character. In his search for answers, Jake finds himself increasingly drawn into the influence of
Rose
, his landlady ( or any relationship you can alter) - whose presence and behavior seem deeply connected to the house’s secrets.
While Jake remains the central viewpoint character,
the narrative currently places strong emphasis on Rose
, making her the
second main protagonist
of the story. The plot heavily revolves around her actions, choices, and shifting personalities, with Jake’s role gradually evolving as the story progresses.
