The Mystery of NTR

Pros:- 1. It has the NTR elements which is good if you like NTR 2. Lot of h-scenes without waiting too much. 3. the characters has good body shape which I liked some folks might not liked it 4. Nice animation although can be improved but not complaining Cons:- 1. the buildup for the h-scene is not there which can be added but I think its not fitted with how the game is made up. 2. story can be more indulging. Overall if you liked the NTR game without concerning about story and have good animation then this game for you.

Decent animations and models. Lighting and composition could be improved. Overarching story and script needs tightening up as well as the pacing. Gameplay needs more meaningful choices if it's going to stay purely as a visual novel or otherwise open it up with proper game dynamics.

Version 0.9 I've always thought VAM strikes a good balance between realism and anime and offers a range of motion animations that are more fluid than Daz and HS2. Naturally I was eager to give The Mystery of NTR a go after reading it being made with VAM and true enough the visuals do not disappoint, but jeez this is the most convoluted and chaotic AVN I have played. I get the sense the developer is simply writing stuff on the go depending on his mood of the day without any form of planning. Story The plot starts off with a guy (note: there is no MC in this game) being forced to move back to his family home after a failed business venture, a classic setup for incest porn. The house is infested with ghosts that turn his mother into a nymphomaniac. So far so good, a standard cliche seen in many AVNs. Unfortunately, all hell breaks loose after the intro and the story branches off into so many disorganized threads that it's hard to even keep track of what's going on. Despite the title, Mystery doesn't have any NTR (maybe some Netori from certain perspectives). There isn't even a male or female protagonist as the narrative unfolds through the POV of many major and minor characters. Mystery is about many girls engaging in a lot of sex with many men in different storylines making the whole game more akin to a promiscuous fuck fest rather than NTR. One moment it's playing on incest, next moment it's about a mom's whoring adventures. Then we learn a female childhood friend is part of some syndicate with a concoction of gang and mother-daughter drama. We are then introduced to a male best friend who is a douchebag with his own baggage of drama. Half way through some ghost busters butt in with their own story, one of the branches has a futa classmate spiritual consultant whose only purpose is to let fans see dick on tits. Then out pops another male douchebag with his own family and girlfriend issues who also wants to fuck the mum in one of the branches while his girlfriend cozies up with the fist guy. Oh and the father is apparently a murderer cum magician going around killing people and doing demon sealing rituals. Then there are some mysterious occult antagonists who are into the ghost thing. In another branch the whole supernatural premise is abandoned and the story swings to the original guy being involved in some contrived family / business drama and conspiracy. Makes me wonder if the developer just uses AI to generate random short stories daily and then force them into a choice / branch within the game? Game Mechanic VN with choices - the problem is too many choices with too many offshoots that take off in random directions without any coherence. Background / Character Renders As expected of VAM, the background renders are functional while character designs are unique and well done with an Asian flair. Closer to HS2 style in this case, but not entirely similar either. Character Development Essentially none. It's isn't possible to develop any character with such a disorganized web of incoherent plotlines and characters. In a sense they are even worse than porn tropes, those are at least cliches and exist to serve a kink; over in Mystery characters are just random NPCs behaving in a buggy manner without any logic, not even porn ones. Sex Scenes No shortage of scenes, so if you are into that alone you've come to the right place. Most of the scenes are ok with common camera angles, a variety of positions, decent enough dialogue and smooth longer animations as expected from VAM. However due to the disjointed nature of the story and characters, it's best to treat each of the scenes as individual decently done sex animations and nothing more than that. BGM and Sound Effects There are some BGMs here and there that serve the initial mystery and paranormal premise as well as some basic sound effects to get things going. Conclusion I get the feeling the developer has no overarching vision for The Mystery of NTR and is simply responding based on either his whims or feedback from players or Patreon. Over time the game morphed into a cluster of random sex scenes and plot lines forcefully wired into one single visual novel. The way it's done currently, it makes more sense to actually compile these individual lewds into a compendium of independent scenes without relation to each other rather than attempt to force everything into one package. Overall game experience is also negatively affected by development that prioritizes paths / kinks based on Patreon feedback and developer whims i.e. you often make choices and play along only to be suddenly slapped with a "that's all & wait for updates" ending as your chosen path is being deprioritized or abandoned.

Honestly I give the game a 2 star because if you like NTR you'll at least get the scenes and the models are good. But even for a NTR enjoyer the story feels incoherent and jumbled. The choices as an MC don't really matter and the MC in general doesn't do much. He's like an NPC in the story happening around him. And not even in the sense that he even has to watch the scenes in the cuck chair because he doesn't even watch most of the time. And he's just generally dumb and not in an endearing way or purposeful way like the dumb character archetype. Just dumb because of weak writing. If you took out the MC the changes would be very minimal because he doesn't affect things much if at all. Everything could happen without him being there and it would change basically nothing. There's no point to him other than to see the story and this could be accomplished if we just saw it form Rose's perspective only. It has me thinking what's the point in having an MC? He just comes off as so unimportant to the overall story. Like not even a talking NPC, as much impact and relevance as a background NPC. And the choices are just confusing, there's no real indication of where they take you and even the one's that tell you aren't that clear because you just have to hope it leads you where you maybe want to be. If this game were changed to a kinetic novel not much would have to be changed. Which makes the choices and paths even more poorly written. The models look good and the scenes if you're into NTR are probably enjoyable but the story is just a mess overall with no real direction. Just a bunch of ideas and kinks put in for the sake of putting them in. If it wasn't for the models and animations this would be a 1 star. And honestly I think I'm being REALLY generous with 2 stars. Edit: Actually after replaying I feel like not even the animations can make up for the lack of presence with the game aspects, story, or the MC. Its just random kinks thrown in with no regard for the story and choices that are there only to pad out content, bait, and the allure of false promises. Its poorly paced and poorly executed. There are parts that feel thought out but all they do is poimt out even more the parts that feel like there was no real thought put in. Maybe this will change in the future or maybe not I'm not sure. The rating could always change but for now it's a strict 1 star.

I just finished playing this game. Will recommend this game for anyone loves NTR, plot twist, corruption. The CG, animation are amazing, everything feels polished and well thought out. However, the NTR theme can make a lot of people annoyed, which might lead to lower ratings.

This one is outright terrible. First off, one of the worst set of characters I've seen, with bland personalities that make little sense, boring dialogue and so on. Writing is pretty bad as well, and the story is bull all around, with the supernatural element just making this an empty fuckfest with no real buildup or anything. And for a game with NTR on it's name, the MC is neither the one being NTRd (basically his mom is his dad's wife, not his) nor the one doing the NTR (should happen in future updates, but by the time she's already any random guys slut anyway). Choices don't seem to matter much, outside choosing which paths you want to take. Render quality is really low, in execution and design and framing. Character models are poor as well. Animations are rough, basic and have lots of problems. And there is no sound in most of it, and bugs (specially clipping and visual bugs) exist. So, all in all, hard pass is what I'd recommend. I'm definitely dropping this.

Guess I will start with the Pros: Nice models and Animation. The story is easy to follow and seems interesting up the this point. Cons. The hint system is useless. It's basically choose and path and pray you stay on the right one. More less you can't unlock everything unless you choose perfectly which is nearly impossible. If you can unlock the gallery you can see all the scenes, but that is useless if you are like me and only want to unlock by actually playing the game. For now I am going to drop this game, but will check back later and see if it has improved.

Review as of v1.0 (which is not actually completed despite the tag): I've played since nearly the first version, I think a lot of people are taking this game way too seriously and criticizing the story when it is just there as an excuse to make different scenes/paths to appeal to different fetishes. Yes, the plot is weak- who cares, the actual quality of the writing in sex scenes (which is what everyone is playing this for) is pretty good and erotic, but also directed at people who like specific fetishes like corruption, incest, or ntr (or something other specific fetish indicated by the path). There is no attempt at making the world or plots across different paths make sense and they are often contradictory, but again who cares. The dev does a good job of executing these fetishes in my opinion- though to be fair there's hardly any real ntr if you're into that. I don't know why people are complaining about the mc being a loser cuck in a game with NTR in the title. The visuals are good enough, and the dev is one of the few that actually deliver sizeable updates consistently (like every month or two).

I just love this game, it’s an art. It shows your creativity and skill of what makes this genre special. I can’t wait to see what`s you bring in next update. in my opinion, i think people agree that focus on Rose (the milf) is the best move. Most of what i enjoy are rose content. NTR linked with Paranormal horror is a new type. Author should make more deeper story. The three routes approach is a good move. The tenants and roommates are a key to a deeper story and a trans character has a very passive role right now. Not the best NTR AVN currently but potential to be really good in the future.

PRO Decent Model Some interesting story element of horror and super natural CONS Dev seems to throw in popular kinks for the sake of it. NTR, FUTA & Incest combination have no story element for it. The story is badly string together and story elements is disjointed Extremely bad Porn Logic story elements that makes normal Porn Logic looks like a Oscar Winning Writing MC is more of a Spectator than an actual MC. MC literally have an IQ of an amoeba. Thinking nothing but boobs and his decision in story makes no sense. Seen a ghost, a severed arm? No issues, boobs first MC is there just to checkbox the Incest kink. The whole story as of 0.3 revolve around Rose's POV The NTR tag is misleading. The MC is not in relationship with any LI. Rose is already kind of a whore from the start. More of cheating wife than NTR Jian being a FUTA bring no benefit to the story at all. Just there to checkbox a kink. It would be better if she serves as story element character given her role as a ghostbuster than just a kink checkbox. Just make a normal girl shessh VERDICT Not worth playing. SUMMARY Dev really bad at story telling. Kinda going for kinks that is popular for the sake of it but cant seem string together a proper story. The initial ghost seems to be missing and removed any of original plot around it. MC is relegated to be a spectator. At this point, makes no differences if the MC is around or not.

VERDICT Not worth playing.

Not the best game. The models are average, in the animations the character's device sometimes doesn't even hit the right place, elements of other clothes constantly stick out of the clothes. The visual part is average. The plot is also average, elements of horror, conspiracy, betrayal. It seems not bad, but the weakest part of the game is MC. This is an adult guy with the intelligence of a teenager. Nothing lingers in his mind, he doesn't care about anything. The only thing that worries him is boobs. A ghost? I don't care. A severed arm? Boobs are more important. Not a single sensible thought flashes through his head, despite the strange events that are happening around him. It is disgusting to associate yourself with this character and it is embarrassing to play for him. However, there is no special choice, the character is stupid, and the developer offers one key choice for the update, which will lead the story along one of the routes. In general, if someone wants to see a gallery of average animations, diluted with dull comments from MC, then you are in the right place. P.S. Nothing sums up MC more than the scene where MC takes a severed hand out of a suitcase with a combination lock covered in seals and burns it to get some vagina and after realizing that everything that happened is pretty shady and the vagina is not real, his first thought is "if they find out about this, I'll be kicked out of the house". I'm not surprised that his mother is angry that he dropped out of school for business. I wouldn't even trust him to sell lemonade on the street, let alone serious business))

Rev @ The Mystery of NTR [v0.2] Overrated. Art's alright. Models are fine, animations are decent. Writing is bad. Scenario's not super novel, narrative is disjointed, characterization is trying for mysterious and getting to inconsistent. Porn's fine, if dull. Skip Dialog-sama BANZAI!

The games graphics are top tier great, the audio quality with the voices are a ten you hear some screams and get some jump scare so hold on to your phone tight when playing at night the story is well written gots you wanting more and wanting to get to next scene , animations are excellent I love how they also have this game for more than one platform especially on there early release give this game a chance if you love ntr games you won't be disappointed

*V0.4 review update: - I dropped the rating because the Dev is not focusing on Rose anymore. Such a shame... Pros: - The Mom / heroine model is super hot - You can see the Mom's expressions during the sex scenes - Interesting story, I really like the idea of building up the son / MC's lust for his Mom Cons: - Graphic is a bit clunky, but honestly it's not too bad - Some of the sex scenes are a bit short (need more dialogues) Feedbacks for the sex scenes: 1) Add some moans (Ahh, Ohh, Nhooh, Oogh, etc) in-between the dialogues, it will prolong the sex scene + making it more intense 2) Try to find the angle so we can see Rose's face during the sex scenes (I think you already did a good job, but I just want to remind you that Rose's face / expression is probably the main appeal of your game) P.S.: I'm looking forward for the incest part (or maybe let Rose bangs her son's friend first, to build the tension...)

Amazing game, character design looks good, development time seems promising, bimonth release with many content, looking forward to the mystery unvealed, that's great if more characters added, more women, more mystery...great work, keep it up...

Gonna keep this short as this game doesn't justify the time of the full review. Models look actually decent, least the "landlady" Animations are nice Story is bat shit, couldnt be bothered to figure whats going on. Seems like house is cursed, but everything that happens just makes fuckol sense, would have if they got possessed "normally" but not here, here its just some puked out story thats not even NTR its straight up cheating wife. The "landlady" just straight up starts screwing anything that moves, other than the MC and/or "husband" yet they are not even aware of this, I even doubt she is. Its told poorly and just thrown out there with no rhyme or reason as to the motivations. The "landlady" doesn't seem possessed just simply a slut who bones anyone. NTR because she doesn't bone the MC? Makes no sense anyway that she would and the MC is a beta anyway, that doesn't feature in the game nor have any appeal. The MC is not even present or played most of the time, you can't say he gets cucked because he was not in the driver seat anyway, the husband gets cucked but he isn't even there soo...erm...yeah cheating sure...but makes no sense the way its going (I stopped reading eventually as it was just...no.) Good models, could have been interesting story, just badly told, maybe bad planning...who knows...just bad. May change my review later if I happen upon this again and try it again (BIG IF) but maybe, it could be good, just isnt now.

Liking the horror elements so far. Renders quality is not the best ever, but equivalent to higher end honey select renders / lower end daz 3d renders. Pretty good. Characters could use a bit more backstory. Has a good amount of content for v0.1 Update 0.2 We now seem to have a rough plotline, the updates are frequent and the characters have more substance. Overall looks like a solid High quality game.
