FoxCity's The Rebound is an adult visual novel set in college, built in Ren'Py with 2D AI CG art. You play a college guy who is heartbroken, awkward around women, and living on snacks, video games, and poor decisions. After an incident, he must try to rebuild his life while meeting new people and handling dating sim situations. Basketball is a major part of the story, giving him a way to prove himself and change how others see him. The game uses choice-based progression.
Current build v0.1.4.1, released January 8, 2026, shows ongoing development. It is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, uncensored. The latest update adds Jerome and Lamar, Westside, a basketball court, and Nixi and Max story content. It also fixes a bookshelf issue and adds a minor character story.

The Rebound is an adult college-life visual novel about starting over, finding yourself, and getting into all kinds of trouble along the way. You play as a college guy stuck in a slump — recently heartbroken, clueless around women, and living a lifestyle that’s mostly snacks, video games, and regrettable decisions. Mostly survives on instant noodles, caffeine, and questionable life choices.… After a certain incident, you’re forced to step up and actually try to turn your life around. As the story goes on, you’ll deal with new people, romance, and plenty of NSFW situations that can either push you forward or drag you back. Basketball is also a big part of your journey — not just a sport, but a way to prove yourself and maybe even change the way people see you. This game is about second chances, screwing up, getting back on your feet, and yeah… maybe scoring big both on and off the court.
