About The World As I Saw It
The World As I Saw It is a Ren'Py visual novel from 4ffct, presented with 3D rendered art. You play as multiple protagonists through fragmented days, shifting narrators, and overlapping relationships, moving between 2000 and 2006. The same world appears in two emotionally different versions, while repeated conversations drift in meaning and intimacy keeps changing shape. As the structure unfolds, the game blends romance and horror, leaving it unclear whether the past is being found or altered by observation.
The current build is v0.1, released August 5, 2026, and development is ongoing. This initial zone release offers an English, uncensored experience on Windows, Linux, and Android. The latest update added the initial zone, giving players the first part of the project overall.
Developer's description
A visual novel were you follow fragmented days, shifting narrators, and overlapping relationships. Instead of a fixed route, you move between two timelines—2000 and 2006—each revealing alternate emotional versions of the same world. Conversations repeat, meanings drift, and intimacy becomes something unstable: not something you reach, but something that keeps changing shape. As the structure of the story unfolds, it becomes unclear whether you are uncovering the past—or rewriting it through observation.
