v0.1
Initial release
Review: Trap Resort Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) If you’ve ever wondered what happens when you mix high-stakes strategy with the chaotic energy of a vacation gone wrong, Trap Resort is your answer. It is a deceptively clever title that manages to balance "cozy" aesthetics with "cutthroat" mechanics, making it one of the more unique indie gems of the year. The Premise: Hospitality Meets Hostility In Trap Resort , you aren’t just a concierge; you’re an architect of misfortune. The goal is to build the ultimate luxury getaway, lure in eccentric "guests," and then—well, the name gives it away. You must deploy a variety of creative, often hilarious traps to relieve these travelers of their loot before they reach the exit. What Makes It Shine The Aesthetic Contrast: The game uses a vibrant, tropical art style that feels incredibly relaxing. Seeing a high-tech laser grid or a giant swinging mallet hidden behind a serene palm tree creates a dark humor that never gets old. Deep Customization: The "Trap Tree" is extensive. You can go for physical slapstick (giant springs, banana peels) or psychological warfare (hallucinogenic mist, endless buffet loops). Finding the right "combo" to maximize your score is deeply satisfying. The AI Personality: The guests aren't just mindless drones. Each archetype—from the "Influencer" to the "Ex-Spy"—has different detection levels and pathing logic, forcing you to constantly adapt your resort layout. Room for Improvement The difficulty curve can be a bit steep in the mid-game. Once you hit the "Corporate Retreat" levels, the guests become incredibly perceptive, which can lead to some trial-and-error frustration. A slightly more robust tutorial on trap synergies would have been a welcome addition. The Verdict Trap Resort is a brilliant subversion of the management sim genre. It’s addictive, visually delightful, and offers enough strategic depth to keep you coming back for "just one more check-in." Bottom Line: Whether you’re a fan of tower defense or just someone who enjoys a bit of digital mischief, this resort is well worth the stay. Just watch your step. Click to expand...
After this last update the game got even sexier and feels more premium. The animations have improved tenfold from the original ones. Maybe it would be good to even redo the old ones since they feel a bit off compared to the new ones. All in all, really good faps here. Great futa game.
It's an AI slop, nothing more. Gameplay and UI is awful. Writing is just AI generated junk. Not worth even for free. Graphical content is OK, but is not original, not "organic", and again not worth gaming efforts.
I appreciate every new game in the shemale/trap/futa-genre, sadly I can't rate this higher than 2 stars. Whole game is a lazy, low effortish assembly of a bunch of (admittedly hot) AI-pics, supported by AI writing, very few animations and very few lewd-sounds in some scenes. Very soon you get paywallchecked, even though i highly doubt content behind it would be any better than what already exists. Aside from the lacking quality (and quantity), i really dislike that u can not make a single meaningful decision on what type of content you see or get or not. All you can choose from is WHICH girl to see in next scene. I really would have loved to give the option to be submissive for MC in all scenes for example. Instead, 90% of scenes MC is in topping position whether u pref that or not, and the very few sub-scenes feel extremely underwhelming, artificial and implemented just for the sake of alibi-having sub scenes. The AI writing lacks any meaningfull character development or background story, even for porn game standards. If your into trans content, u might find some satisfaction in the hot AI art, but thats really all there is. If u hoped for an actual game, in which for example u get seduced and fucked by hot ts employees with some actual effort put into writing and character development: look elsewhere.
Lovely traps in lovely dresses. Need I say more? The animations keep getting better each release. A lot of hot scenes on it. There's also something that most games of this type never have. Girls being the ones who top. And damn they are hot. If you love traps and love giving and receiving this is the game for you
First of all, we'll address the elephant in the room: the "girls" have breasts, so they are true traps. Also, this is never discussed in story at all. The girls just show up to work for you and have skimpy bottoms on that clearly show they have cocks, but it's never actually addressed, except sometimes during the rather tame sex scenes. The game is mostly AI generated, and although it's mostly well done, if you look closely, you can see the telltale sign of the AI glitching with hair/fingers/etc. Another problem is that a bunch of content is locked behind a paywall, and the content I did view basically amounted to a few frames worth of animation with almost no movement in them and rarely did anyone remove their clothes. Your guy thrusts with the enthusiasm of a dude with severe back pain, while the girls scream that your centimeter of limited pounding is the most amazing thing ever. Finally, advancing the girl's affection is completely and utterly random. The resort is split into rooms, but the girls only show up randomly inside one or more rooms, although most of the time they won't show up at all. And even if you do get a conversation with them, it's not guaranteed to improve their opinion of you, and in some cases you get a multiple choice response, but only one of those responses actually matter, although as far as I can tell, these Events never trigger again, so if you missed your chance to make them happy then you're just boned. I tossed another star on, because there was clearly some effort put into this and I was extremely excited when I saw the game... but I was ultimately disappointed. To be blunt, it's just your standard cash grab Renpy AI slop.
AI slop with passable H-scenes, not really all that fun. Maybe like one minigame in the whole shebang, besides that it's random events; several of which, are locked behind patreon walls (and those appear frequently). The characters aren't really all that engaging, nor is the story (not that there's much of one because it seems to be an infini-xperience). The playability of the game could instantly improved with an alteration to text colour, because the readability of it is low. The music loop is mind numbing and could use a LOT more variation and sound effect to break up the experience. I don't really recommend this and will likely try to steer clear of this dev in the future, because this feels more like an ai cash-grab than an attempt at making a fun experience for an audience.
Great game with superb animations. Still a little rough bet gets much better with every update. Development seems very active and updates add real content. All the traps look amazing, the sandbox still has a lot of room for improvement but overall its great.
Despite the reliance on AI-generated art, I decided to give this game a shot since the character models are visually appealing. However, the game itself lacks depth and originality. It's a straightforward click-and-interact mechanic where you engage with the characters to increase affection, but that’s about the extent of it. The overall experience feels shallow, and considering the game is locked behind a paywall, it doesn't feel worth investing in. Unfortunately, I can’t give it more than a single star. One thing that might mislead some players is the "trap" resort. It seems to promise something different, but in reality, most of the characters are more accurately described as futanaris, which might not be what some are expecting. The animations in the latest update are a mixed bag. While some look decent, others feel off and unnatural. I suspect this is the result of AI limitations, but a bit more polish and refinement could definitely improve the overall experience. This issue isn't new, as previous updates have featured noticeable glitches, like characters with mismatched expressions or odd proportions like extra or missing fingers. As some other reviews have pointed out, I really hope this game can evolve into something better. It has an interesting premise that could stand out from other titles in this genre. However, given its current state, it feels more like a cash grab than a game that’s trying to offer something unique.
Gameplay-wise, despite the premise of the game, there is 0 hotel management in the game. Instead, the game plays like a dating/harem sim. It's largely kinetic--while there are a few dialogue options where you can choose an option that doesn't add affection points, or choose to bottom/top, I haven't seen a single fork in URM yet that actually checks for certain values or references past events, so it seems like your choices mostly don't matter. Story-wise, the game has a very lighthearted tone. There's no real sense of conflict in the story, despite the premise, because there's no villain, no sense of urgency, no anything to make you feel like you're under any sort of risk of failure. This isn't all bad--a lighthearted story can be refreshing every once in a while--but this does mean that the non-romantic story of the game is flat and forgettable. The reason I give this only 4 stars (aside from being flat) is that the game is absolutely infested with scenes that add nothing to the story, and there are no cues for where the player has to go to see the next bit of actual content. I don't mind a bit of filler, but I think it should be sparse and it should at least be relevant to the story, and not just some really bad, low-effort comedy like, "You look over the pool and ponder existence, then you hurt yourself. Ouch! Existence sucks!" or "You find a random food item in the fridge and eat it. It's disgusting" I'm paraphrasing, but the filler really is that bad. Overall, I'd love to see some polish in the storytelling department, but the game's enjoyable.
Review update for 0.4 Release. Easily takes that rating from 4.5/5 to 5/5 stars. The new scenes with animations take the experience to a whole new level. The animation loops are spot on. They are implemented in the perfect way alongside the AI content. The QOL feature re: girl tracking solves the lone thing that kept my initial review (4.5) from 5/5. Yes there is some content behind a paywall, but that in no way detracts from the amount of content already in the "free" version here on f95. --- v0.2: 4.5/5 Stars – Solid and Engaging, Steamy Content (As of writing this review) Version 0.2 of Trap Resort is a strong game so far with its current content weaved into a sandbox style structure. It still has that similar feel to a visual novel yet follows the structure of asking for your input of where to go & when. Usually these games are bogged down with a bunch of tedious and monotonous guess work with the only imaginable intention of the dev being to draw out the gameplay length. That definitely is not the case with Trap Resort. The attention given to the dialogue / internal monologue for all the "side content" provides a lot of witty humor that keeps you engaged, even when you're trying to find just where the next conquest is hiding. The characters are distinct, with sharp, witty dialogue that drives the story. The art is clean and expressive, and the UI is intuitive, keeping the focus on the narrative. Choices feel like they could be driving certain encounters, and the balance of side content dialogue and main story dialogue not only gives the feel of the character's development but also the resort developing in some manner of form. For its current state, it earns a 4.5/5. What Keeps It from 5/5? The open-ended sandbox unfortunately can lead to repetitive side content without clear direction toward main story events. While this may not be the experience with the ultimate 1.0 official release, I feel like a tracking system would help prevent users from not experiencing all the content that is available. A few quick ideas being; A Quest Journal or Character Arc Tracker with icons for unvisited story scenes / Alternatively, a tree diagram showing completed story moments, with future content locked, or pop-up notifications guiding players to the next main event that gets enabled after too much side content scenes get repeated a preset amount of times. (I enjoyed all the witty humor and dialogue for the side scenes, but I can't imagine experiencing identical dialogue 10-15+ times while trying to discover the next story arc trigger is what the dev is going for. This would ensure the main story stands out without disrupting the sandbox feel. Overall Trap Resort so far delivers a pretty polished experience with great characters and visuals. Easily 4.5/5 Stars taking into account that it's early in development.
Let me start off with a quick disclaimer: V 0.2 (More likely should be classed v0.02) has VERY little content - most of the dev note items aren't in the game yet and those that are available exist in a highly barebones state. Having said that there unfortunately isn't much to recommend here at the moment. The art is okay as far as AI art goes. Fingers are regularly broken and/or eldritch abominations. There's also a case or two where the visible amount of fingers may or may not exceed the recommended amount one should apply to human beings. Expressions don't match the dialogue. Hairstyles mismatch tiny amounts between images. Characters develop lazy eyes constantly (Even the main page pictures have it) and myriad other small foibles. In short, some care has been put into things but it's still AI art with all that bring along. Gameplay-wise there's nothing here. It's currently nothing more than a extremely barebones sandbox where you're constantly forced to guess where the 3 main LIs are. Not even something as simple as a quick picture for their locations. Just blind guesswork. Oh, and one of the locations is already patreon-locked. Dialogues are short, insignificant as far as actual plot/character progression goes and for any time you're not directly interacting with a main LI (hopefully) painfully placeholder-y. You're essentially one step away from Lorem Ipsum'ing your exploration dialogues when a LI isn't present. Choices in those non-LI interactions also appear to do nothing yet. On the positive side, I've not spotted more than the standard amount of grammatical errors common in very early releases. The idea of actually running the place - despite not being present yet - is interesting enough as a gameplay hook on paper and the AI art despite all its previously mentioned issues has at least some amount of care and attention put in. Unfortunately I can't rate stuff that isn't available yet, only give my opinion on what is. And what is available is very barebones, not particularly interesting (yet) and with a UI and UX that's below average (for now). Patreon-locking part of what little content the demo has to offer is also certainly a bold strategy but as said content is to me invisible it can't increase or decrease my opinion of the game, barring it being locked away at such an early stage to me looking like a poor marketing choice. As such this unfortunately doesn't clear the bar to be average as it fails as a demo - it doesn't showcase the strengths in gameplay, storytelling, character interactions or even plain smut. There's just nothing there to hook me which is the primary task of your demo. Best check back in an update or fifteen and hopefully then there's enough quality to up my rating.
Solid art, cute traps, and a fun premise but there's work still to go. Needs: -A gallery to review past scenes. -More direction. It's kinda just a point-and-click and hope you get the right room at the right time. -More stuff to do/Things to upgrade in the hotel. Everyone keeps talking about how decrepit the hotel is; the game would benefit by more options to fix it up and open new rooms. Ex: dance hall, sauna, fitness room, etc. -More characters. Only 3 mains and the MC atm. Very solid start but needs a little love and attention. That being said it's only on the v0.2 update.
The game has good potential, I don't really know what needs to be improved, but I feel that small improvements in all parts will be made over time, I think the AI art used could vary more, I know it's difficult to make the robot produce good art, and several of a single character, but over time the game can really get good
Love it. The art style is adorable. Laid back & relaxed game-play. No heavy / emo story line. (much appreciated) Funny random events thru out the story is the magic touch. Expecting more CGs or even animated CGs in the future. Looking forward for future developments.
This my first exp with this genre and it was a pleasant exp then i taught i would be, let me start by saying art work is consistent and sexy, backgrounds and setting are highly detailed. Affection system and day/night with dates number is also big bonus for immersion. content quantity is good for this early version, can't wait for more. P.S more girls addition would be awesome
I gave it a 3, only because of the CG pictures, they are well done. But they could try to make the models better. The background is good. The story is so-so, to be honest. Purely considering the game, like clicking on random events. If they make more different pictures, then I think the game should be given a 4.
