UC8 is a Ren'Py adult visual novel from Dark Griffin Games, the studio's debut title. You play a male protagonist, a recently divorced theater manager who moves to Renwick, a small college town, to run the busiest eight-screen cinema in the University Cinema chain. The story follows his effort to build a life there after learning that his former high school sweetheart died and that he has a daughter, Kayla. He brings Kayla and her younger half sister into his home so Kayla can study locally. It uses animated 3D CG visuals and point-and-click choices.
The current build is v0.3.6.1, released April 1, 2026, and development is ongoing rather than finished. It is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, with no censorship. The latest update adds C2 Episode 2a+. Earlier updates expanded C2 with scenes, new characters, and optional adult content, while continuing relationships with recurring characters.

When he finds Kayla, his daughter, living in a motel and struggling to raise her younger half sister, he invites them to come live with him in Renwick where she can attend the local university. Will our MC be able to build a healthy relationship with his long-lost daughter? Will he like living in Renwick? Will he get along with the staff at the theater or will he have to clean house and start fresh? What types of crazy shenanigans occur in the movie theater behind closed doors?
