Unova Nights

I would still give 5 stars to this game even without any lewd content, and I would do so simply because I can't give it 12. Talk me about vibe, man. This is the very game I've been looking for since I get to know this site. It didn't receive no other than 5/5 reviews for nothing.

Something that we don't see often enough - a visual novel where the protagonist isn't bland enough for the audience to just project everything onto. We choose his decisions, but a lot of his personality was decided for us. It makes the story so much more engaging when we're learning about both people in the conversations instead of just one - and our viewpoint character is capable of having opinions. Just the fact that the viewpoint character can disagree with the love interest's choice of music because he has his own opinions and not just because he hasn't been introduced to it yet is such a hugely refreshing decision. There's more I could say, but I shouldn't need to. It's great writing, at a level that it's capable of making confident and original choices with its direction.

This is really good. It's a collection of 'short stories' if you will, each focused on a different girl. The main draw is the exceptional writing, you don't need to any real knowledge of pokemon to enjoy this either, it's all portrayed in a way that although pokemon fans may get some extra enjoyment out of it, doesn't really rely on us having much prior knowledge about the characters or world. Definitely worth a shot.

Great short VN stories with under appreciated characters from Gen 5. Music has good vibes and fits the settings and the art is really nice. Have found new appreciation for Roxie as well. Looking forward to more stories to come for other characters. Also Glad I'm good at tetris and got 30K points before I grew tired of the control then played real tetris.

Only problem is that there isn't more roxie. Great writing, makes me feel lonely. Art is great, though I do wish there were maybe a few more CG's, but that's not really an issue. I assume there is going to be more routes with diff girls. Excited to see, although 10 hours of roxie gameplay would be good as well.

This is relatively short but I feel compelled to review it anyway because man. It's so sweet, I did kinda like Roxie just from playing the mainline games but this VN really had me feeling like Roxie was the best girl by the end of it. The writing is definitely one of its biggest strengths. The art was great too though! VNAnon has another game centered around Dawn that's also incredibly sweet but it suffers a bit for using art that definitely wasn't made for the game, specifically for sex scenes. None of that here though, at least for Roxie (there might be some generic backgrounds? but I never noticed so it clearly wasn't important). Her character portraits and CGs were made specifically for the game and it's way better for it. 10/10, this VN deserves more attention. Edit: And once again they just do not miss, Shauntal update is also a banger with a whole short campaign/game mode thing. Bonus points for all the cute art and hentai scenes managing to be both hot and cute. VNAnon really has a way of making every girl best girl. Edit 2: A New Dawn now also has its own art so that one gets a 9.5/10, only because it gets a just little too mushy towards the end.

Love seeing new adult pokemon games that focus on the human characters. Having played through the Roxie portion I can say that i enjoyed myself. Most of the time I find myself skipping a lot of text when reading dialogue but in this game I actually felt like reading which was a nice surprise even when really sleep deprived. If this was due to the writing being enjoyable or knowing this is not too long of a read I am not quite sure but probably a combination of the two. Although the game only has a single sex scene it was quite nice that it was not just a single still image but had some variation to it with the art being great as well. I look forward to seeing what gets added in the future.

Well that was a really pleasant surprise. The story is short but at the same time very satisfying. Dialogues are well written and the characters' feelings and personalities are conveyed convincingly. Roxie is extremely cute and MC is pretty much a decent bloke, so it was easy for me to like the characters. Sex scene was handled well and is very hot. And the ending I got was very sweet and rewarding, even a little touching. Overall a lovely little story, very well told and that does not feel rushed despite being very short. Characters are engaging and likable. Definitely worth playing and I definitely hope to see more from this dev.

Update for reference: Compilations like this are weird. If someone says "we'll give you either nothing or one million dollars and a turd in a box, you can do whatever you want with each" you still take the million dollars and just throw the box away. So this sort of hacks the review process a little bit- though it helps that the first bit is as strong as it is. Part 1- Roxie Night Out : We all know there are games out there that are in that 20-30 minute range which sell themselves on good writing, not on porn. And most of them are pretentious at best. This game has porn and the writing those games lie about having. If you're looking for porn, this has one scene that you can get pretty quick and it's OK. But this game isn't for the one-handed ctrl holders the same way "My innocent and naive but trusting girlfriend is spending time with her new tutor" isn't for NTR haters. So with that in mind, easy 5/5- when your worst factor is "I wish there was more" but the ending is still satisfying, I don't know what other score you can give, honestly. Feel free to drop points if you're just in it for the porn, though. Roxie Night Out is great and good enough to be worth checking out; I'll give some reviews for the other chapters too. Part 2- Shauntal's Fantastical Realms of Wonderment : It's only ok. The girl, Shauntal, is shy and the story is about two people being shy and horny. If Part 1 was about turning a one night stand into something more; this is about trying desperately to make 2 pandas fuck each other. I guess pandas are cute. There probably needed to be more of a glimpse in how perverted BOTH parties to give sort of an impression that they'll get over their shyness for some kinky spanking/anal/vibrator/dubcon etc. chicanery, instead you walk away feeling that you really want these two people to kiss. Character-wise, this is thematically appropriate, but if you walk away feeling bored and owed more of a payoff, join the club. Part 3- Black, White & Gray : This is more in line with the first, the instant chemistry and fun hanging out. Hilda and Rosa both have their unique charms. I would put this as second, easily. It's still fantastic- and the porn is actually by far the best of the three. So now you can get a good story in one part, and good porn in another part. Both girls are looking to blow off some steam after saving the world and you've got a good build and a car. Good enough! There are more mini games and there's definitely more of a feeling like you're going to be a trainer, and there's much more variety, but the two girls sort of intrude on any intimacy a bit so it feels more like 2 girls having some college experimental fun than part 1, which might be your cup of tea for sure. Final word (after reviewing the parts, in case we get more): For some, part 3 will be your favorite- part 3 is more sandboxy with better porn, part 1 is more human. Both are definitely worth your time, you should check out part 2 because it is still good but there is probably one guy out there who is desperately looking for more Shauntal content (assume he hasn't starved to death, which he probably has) and that guy is still hungry. Rosa and Hilda fans are probably just consuming more content voraciously (Hilda fans might be looking suspiciously at that Tepig), meanwhile Roxie fans found their Mecca.

What can I say, the art is great, the plot and romance are very enjoyable, and it features my favorite Pokemon region. I also like how its got a good future, as many games that are very creative with unique plots often fizzle out. This one's simple, come and fuck Unova girls, that is it. So if that you like pokemon or parody games definitely worth a shot.

This is an absolutely stunning piece of VN work, to the degree that I almost have a hard time saying anything constructive about it besides just recommending you go play it. The prose and character writing on display here isn't just good by H-game standards—it's just downright good , with no caveats. Over the course of about 20 or 30 minutes, you're made to believe the romantic chemistry between the MC and a Poison-type Gym Leader from a 2012 Pokémon game. I am waiting with bated breath to see what this creator does next.

Actually really wholesome dating story with Roxie. I do hope more girls are introduced, as this feels like a very well done adult-themed fanfic set in Pokemon. No over the top jokes, no curse words for the sake of curse words, just adult dialogue that feels organic and gives you a look into how you want to know, date, and possibly fuck Roxie. You get a few choices in how to steer the date, be it liking the music that blares when you enter or not, or whether you want to keep talking or take Roxie out to a room. This is more of a choose your own adventure than a "pick an option for some obligatory stat point" and it is a nice change of pace. I do hope more Unova girls are played here as well. Hilda, Rosa, Bianca, Elesa, Skyla... other girls with a name ending in "A" haha. Even if it's just this one segment and the project gets abandoned (like other ambitious projects do around here) what is told here with Roxie is worth a look. Very well done, can't recommend enough.

Good short piece of fun. Great art. Story was interesting to read as in a happy playful tidbit. Some mistakes here and there but nothing that made it hard to read at all. Expecting great things from future update.
