A Forest Tail is a 2D fantasy sandbox from LalaLewds, built with an engine listed as Others. It takes inspiration from farming and life sims, combining crop work, dungeon trips, RPG growth, real-time fighting, skills, magic, and romance. You begin as a slime that has a rare monster ability called Evolution Beyond, and the story changes according to player choices. The project includes adult material, while the developer plans a separate version without mature content.
The current build is Nightly 167, dated August 10, 2026, and it runs on Windows in English. The game is uncensored. Development remains ongoing rather than completed, and the latest changelog lists v0.02 as an initial zone release for players to try in early builds.

Heavily inspired by games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon, A Forest Tail will have mechanics such as farming, dungeon explorations, RPG leveling, real time combat, skill systems, magic, and of course, romance. There will be mature content in this game, but the dev is planning to make an SFW version that avoids that for those not interested in that aspect. Thus there will be heavy focus on making a great game that anyone can enjoy! The story is heavily dependent on player decisions, so we can't say much about it. However, I can tell you what we have, as of writing this: You'll start as a slime that has a skill rare to monsters: "Evolution Beyond".
