Aegis is an erotic visual novel set in a contemporary world where extraordinary abilities are part of everyday life. The Aegis are a team of young superheroines operating within this reality, struggling to hold together a society made fragile by living side by side with power. To the public, they are icons of justice — role models called upon to fight crime and make difficult choices. Away from the spotlight, however, they are still young women bound by imperfect relationships, unresolved trauma, and responsibilities that force them, day after day, to place the common good above themselves. The arrival of Kain — a presence both unwanted and out of place — further fractures an already precarious balance. Will he become their support… or the one who ultimately breaks them? Aegis explores themes of power, control, intimacy, and moral compromise. Relationships are shaped by authority, trust, desire, and vulnerability, in a story that blends psychological thriller, romance, and erotic tension.

Despite some ambition, Aegis struggles with fundamental design and narrative issues. The inability to rename the MC reinforces the fact that Kain isn’t a player surrogate—but combined with the kinetic novel structure, it removes most sense of agency. You’re not really playing, just watching. Kain himself is the biggest problem. He isn’t just morally gray—he’s written as an outright monster, and the story expects you to follow him without offering meaningful distance or consequences. That alone makes engagement difficult. On top of that, his near-omniscience and reality-breaking powers kill tension entirely. When a character can do anything at any time, nothing feels like it matters. The developer frames Kain as a “narrative catalyst,” but in practice, this often comes off as information being deliberately withheld just for the sake of later reveals. Instead of intrigue, it creates frustration and disconnect. The opening and presentation don’t help either—the meta-style introduction with characters acting out roles undermines immersion right from the start. Combined with forced love interests, it makes relationships feel artificial rather than earned. Overall, Aegis might appeal to players interested in a more observational, fixed narrative, but for anyone looking for agency, believable character dynamics, or meaningful stakes, it falls flat.

length about 5 minutes Decent game, average at best, character models look blended (unless the dev likes this style). I hope we can change Kain's name beginning in future updates. story: MC, some type of god/ superhuman/ time traveler (similar to Marvel's Doctor Strange) who stays in this timeline due to someone dying only in this one. So he comes up with a plan to join the Aegis team and is emotionless currently. acts like a robot/ AI with simple, calculated thoughts and actions. He somehow meets a girl on the run from an enemy group and promises to help her by protecting her in exchange for her getting pregnant with his child. She hesitates and agrees, then a sex encounter happens, and she leaves. Later on, the same group finds her, and once again, MC saves her, and another sex scene ends (Dev said she is a side Li, so dont really care about her much) Other Characters/ Li's: a few of them I like, but others I'm not really a fan of. One girl (Astra) who attacks MC during meetings, and she thinks MC has something to do with her best friend/Lover death? wants to attack him, before listening to reason, there isn't a single time when MC acts hostile to any of them. So she's accusing someone without listening to no go. Later on, they meet up again she is still acting hostile after MC says, " Help her. Ember: I love redheads. She's smart, doesn't start fights, and wants to listen to reason. I was enjoying time with her when we had lunch and were able to get affection points to her, (she never told us she in relationship with another dude) and then bam, out of nowhere, she and another guy named Dylan were naked. He tells her that he dont want a relationship with her and only for sex, but she wants one. Like, really, he is using her for sex, and she doesn't listen and wants a relationship with him. How many times did they have sex, and she still dont get it that he only wants his dick wet? If the dev wanted to add this scene, then he should have added it before MC met her and took her to lunch. not after. Yes it wasn't a date it was friendly lunch/ no relationship yet, but why are we able affection points and soon after go lunch with mc, go have sex with guy doesnt even care about you. Messed up. You give her affection points, they have lunch, and in the next scene, she is in bed with some other guy. Like you take a work friend out for lunch, flirt a few times with her, but still no date, then a few days later, find out she's sleeping with another work friend, Fine, she has asex life ,she might go back to him if all of a sudden he wants a relationship with her because her mind is already unstable from past rejections. Unless Dylan will be making impact in story and is evil later on, I see no reason having then scene there. I really hope Dylan isn't a big part of the story and isn't involved with other girls, too. He must be part of the story in a way, because why waste a scene with him? (If he is, I hope our MC beats crap out of him for using Ember) Miranda, I really dislike her more than Astra because she fights with MC every time in-game and goes behind our back to find out more about him (Im sure MC knows about it) I hope future updates have more facial expressions, and dont look Blend/ AI-like. Mostly talking about MC, I get it, his mind is complicated and Caculated But his robot actions and words feel out of place.

Review for Aegis V0.2.0 Starting with good things about this game - Interesting story in a world of people with superpowers and some beautiful love interests moving on to things that need improvement - unlikable Main character , facial expressions of characters needs improvement, and none of the love interests that presented are likable from the way they are written in the story . Interesting story but let down by the way characters are written , hope it improves in the future , if it does will edit my review accordingly.

I really tried to like this game,i swear but the MC is a souless robot, sure he has questionably good reasons to be with being in this timeline... but we don't play avn's for the MCs, don't we? we play for the love interests and that's where the game takes a nosedive.... the girls are either stupid, violent or just irrelevant, they felt like archetpes rather than proper people. At the end of 0.2.0 i just wanted to be done with this and never touch it again and i have probably the lowest standards when it comes to animu visuals

The graphics quality is good, the animations are well placed and enhance the scene, the writing is above average, and the story telling, so far, has me engrossed and wanting to continue. You have to do a lot of things well to get me into a Honey Select AVN; mainly because I have a hard time seeing the male form as more than a cartoon. The male character's tiny hands, short arms, and blocky butt and legs are... unappealing. The women look okay, though, so all is not lost. If you really want to give this AVN a fair chance to impress, get your head out of that little box of preconceived notions first. The main character is... different, and I think the author is trying to portray a world view that transcends mortality. If I'm right, and the writing is up to the task, it could get very interesting.

Review written at v0.1.1 Graphics are fairly basic, look rather low resolution, grainy and just bland. Models are not particularly good looking, at least two of them manage to look like they have double chins in some of the scenes(and i don't mean in any abnormal angles). MC has apparently raped himself through several iterations of the world so far, and the only Li(?)/side piece and so far only sex scene is with someone that seemingly has sold sex in exchange for protection. at the current version there is very little content. All in all, not worth the time currently. Not certain if it has promise or not as contradiction in terms of tags and future tags puts a cloud above what this might become.

Review written after the release of v0.1. Promising game with a strong atmosphere and a non-generic setup. The writing shows potential and the pacing feels solid so far. Looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Review as of v0.1 Interesting first release, a world with superpowers and of course a cast of superhero LIs. First release is a bit short, but enough to give an introduction to the world and cast. Before playing, please read the description, dev notes, dev comments, and all discussion very thoroughly. Good luck to dev. Thank you, bye.
