Anthems of the Nightside

Review for v0.4 If you like when games give you that strange esoteric "what the hell is going on here" vibe and are a fan of monster girls, this is a decent play. You wake up in a strange forest on some alien world and have to survive with the help of "the narrator" while all sorts of weird beings liter the forest and may want to kill and or fuck you. Not much is explained and events just kind of happen one after another, but it works well enough for this type of game. I've never been a fan of bad ends and that's probably what I like least about the game. Most of the choices are A) You die and B) you live, often with no clear idea what choice will do what. There's also options to skip sex with characters you don't like. Again if you're a fan of more unconventional monster-type girls that is this games best aspect. Especially for Koikatsu I was surprised to see what's been done with some of the things you can have sex with. There's girls a lot more humanoid as well, plus a femboy if you're into it. Sex scenes aren't bad but it's weird that most are lacking sound, especially when one or two did have sound. I appreciate the game for what it is. Relatively short and simple so far with a nice deviation in content from the typical AVN.

honestly this game has great potential, it has some funny writing and it even includes Real HD Woman Sex and Man Sex Too! I love me some equality. The scenes are well, its like planting a seed in a garden, but instead of seed its a boner so what I'm trying to say is amidst the gameplay my cock has risen from its slumber. I would give this a 5 star rating because of probably the best soundtrack choice in a porn game ever (classic black metal, doom-death, grindcore, sludge metal) Still, I do have an issue with how there's not rlly a notice or warning or some-other-word-that-i-am-not-familiar-with, because whenever u pick an option sometimes you'll get killed n u don't know why so you gotta figure out yourself... maybe having a notice where it shows that a certain option will lead to death or whatever would be cool but the dev could figure out a way to make it without making it seem like handholding type gameplay. (though I think that's generally accepted as people want to go straight to the chase) Nevertheless,, this game has great potential and the future is bright for this game. or dark. whateverseems good.

As a fan of monster girls I like this game. The MC is in a dire situation but the humor keeps things interesting. The music is eccentric and pairs well with the content. For sure looking forward to further development.

Love the character designs in this game so much, especially Karna I really want to draw fan art of him (Also finally a brown/black MC!!!!). I'm also a fan of the style of humor and the way the game doesn't take itself too seriously. Last but not least, the scenes feel spaced out enough to where you can actually appreciate them. I really hope you continue making game and I'm looking forward to the next update!

Strange game. It doesnt spend too much time worldbuilding(which is a good thing), we kinda just jump into this weird gross fucked up world. That being said, the writing could be a bit more concise, it often felt like I had no idea what was going on. I am pretty sure it has custom animations, which would be great if the models werent, like, really gross, though I understand thats the point. it doesnt make much sense for a zombie to be a hot girl, obviously a zombie would be green and decaying with armpit hair and shit. I dont play these to fap, so I usually can handle a something not being hot, but the general grossness made it hard to even look at the screen a few times. Solid use of horror and tension. Black MC, which you dont see very often. I would recommend, just for the strangeness of it all, just put the mask on and make a new save on every choice
