Better Future

A fun romp with sexy women, futuristic gadgetry, and a story that is promising, but also seems right now to be all over the place. The sex is hot but pretty vanilla, as the MC as of now is really only interested in his newly discovered old friend-turned main squeeze -- a very nubile, hot young thing, but it limits any other sexual goings-on to a lot of nudity and a bit of yearning masturbation on the part of other potential LI's. The plot bounces from MC as hunk with early trauma who became part of a secret military outfit that just happened to consist of him, a lot of hot chicks and another dude who seems to have dies off-screen unbeknownst to the others. Then there's the Yakuza (?), and an inherited mega-lab (echoes of some other popular AI-based android game), a robot turned humanoid? -- and other evil gang-ish stuff after the group. So, as I say -- fun, but with issues. I look forward to its further development -- and maybe how other LI's can be brought into action...

I've gotta say, I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about. As far as I can see, the writer has done a really good job of unfolding the story bit by bit in ways that give you useful information just in time to explain the psychology of the MC. The story is not a simple narrative, but the writer uses good storytelling techniques to build gradual characterizations of the MC and his friends, slowly giving us insight into their personalities, not by telling us about them, but by showing us how they behave in various situations. Perhaps this is just a more-nuanced writing style than people prefer, but as an avid reader of complex narratives like those of Mark Lawrence ("Broken Empire" trilogy, "Red Queen's War" trilogy, and several others), I really enjoy experiencing getting to know the characters, rather than having these things told to me.

The game has a potential. There's a story, there's renders, all that on a decent level. It feels as a beginning of a story and it's a definition of a slowburn. So, at a positive side I can say the game has a decent story with decent renders, it's like everything VN needs is here... There's "but" though. Story is the first one here. Not the player but story. It already exists, MC lives here for quite some time, he knows people, people know him, the setting is already defined and things are put into motion. In another game I'd say it's good but not here. 'Cause we, as a players, have no idea about that. We begin to play and find out that MC has a bar (he's small business owner?) and he's clearly in a relations with a barmaid (we have no say in this). After that MC beat out the shit from the one that deserves it (military service in the past?) and take the girl home to make her his woman (I won't go in details how much revelations it will bring). At some parts of the story focus changes to some characters we have no idea about. And what is worse we have no idea why we see these scenes. It's like a TV series we watch from the middle of the season. Everything's already established but no one told us what was "earlier". And it's totally not a positive thing about a game.

Good art style and a good amount of content, considering this is the v0.1.5 version. The dialogue could use some polish. It's good that the developer is active here. The current plot is enough to get you wanting more, and there is still room for improvement in gameplay, which depends on the developer's ideas. Overall, it's a decent game if the tags are your style. Don't hesitate to try it. It would be a 5 if the grammar of the dialogue were better.

Not a bad first step. Pros: - Models are ok with the renders being of good quality. - MC is not some weak minded little f**k - The story over all has some depth to it Detractors / Opinions - I feel the story had to much going on for the first chapter to get invested in the MC or the LI. - Some of the people introduced had little to no back story - Spoiler How did the one lady get to the gym sauna with out interaction in the gym? That part feel chopped or rushed.

Not a terrible first release. Decent length to the game play. I didn't hate it, but I am also having a hard time really liking it. I wish we had an intro to Lynn and Evelynn , they seem like they're going to be part of the story or at least significant to the MC, but I have no idea why. Some of the early ground work for Mia could have been handled better, it is all kind of vague and comes across half hearted. Dialog wasn't too bad, but could definitely use some polish. Going to keep an eye on this one, GL with future releases.
