Attention:
- Due to the massive number of changes from the last demo build, saved game data will be reset.
- Certain areas will no longer be accessible within the demo. The cliffs, abandoned well and crucible are now locked for the demo and will be available in the full version.
Changes:
- Arcana cards will no longer reside in your inventory. Once collected they will appear in the new arcana chamber of the tavern.
- Kara's prison cell is now located at the bottom of the cistern (the upward shaft that exits the prison).
- Kara will no longer replace the curent ally. She will instead join you alongside anyone else that is following you.
- Ally seduction in the tavern now has a new mechanic. You will have to find appropriate gifts for some allies in order to seduce them. Some may not require gifts and can be seduced the moment they arrive at the tavern.
- Ally appropriate gifts have been spread accross the game world. Keep your eyes peeled.
- A "Journal" tab has been added to the game menu. This will allow you to view objectives and quest progress in one place
- The world map will also display current objectives both on the map itself and listed to the left
- The tavern now has several areas you can pay to have constructed. A kitchen, a library, a sex dungeon and a reflection chamber. Some of these areas require meeting certain allies before they are available to build.
- Once you have recruited Hrotsvitha and built her library, she will offer a service of expeditions to search for new artifacts you can use.
- Likewise, recruiting Lena and building her kitchen will unlock the ability to cook meals.
- Artifacts are no longer usable. They now have automatic/passive effects.
- The combo system has been replaced with aggression. You will build aggression over time while attacking enemies. Once you have the Berzerker skill (acquired from the Hanged Man), and you have a main weapon AND offhand weapon equipped, you can hold up and hit your main attack button consume aggression and unleash a berzerker attack.
- A new option was added to the game menu to make seducing enemies instant, meaning you will no longer have to watch Korvald pat his lap...etc. Just get to the sex scene already!
- There are some floors that are now breakable with the Crash skill (acquired from Magda). These floors restrict early access to areas of the cathedral (among other places) until you have defeated Magda.
- Added special doors/obstacles that can only be passed while a specific ally is with you. For example, there is now a lever controlled porticullis in the prison that requires you to have Ingrid with you to throw her arm and pull the lever.
- Some runic abilities have changed. Kenaz (fire) and Isa (ice) will now summon fire/ice elementals respectively. These elementals will rapidly hurl fire/ice at on screen enemies. Direct fire and ice attacks have been moved to certain barzerker attacks.

- Drinks can be taken from your flask by hitting the Flask button (previously overpower/throw), healing Korvald.
- Each different ale/elixir has it's own alcohol strength which will affect the new Ale meter, reflecting how drunk Korvald currently is.
- When the ale meter is filled, Korvald's tolerance will increase allowing a higher degree of drunkeness (up to 4 times the normal amount).
- The more drunk that Korvald becomes, the less pain he will feel (drastically increasing defenses). Drunk level will negatively affect his intelligence (elemental/rune/artifact damage) and slow his ability to regenerate focus (slide/dash/crash).
- Being drunk also reduces the amount of Urge that he will build up from damage. This will make it more difficult to have enough for corruptions, but will also allow his eldritch health regeneration to sustain more incoming damage.

Companions. Combat friendlies have been overhauled! There are now three types…
1: Minions – These are weak and very temporary (an example is the zombies that you can raise when using the Lantern of Creation).
2: Corrupted – Any (non-boss) enemy that you “recruit” using your urges will fall into this category. These allies will stay with you until they die or are replaced.
3: Ally – These are unique, named characters that will stay by your side until dismissed. On death they will resurrect when you enter a different area. They will also increase in level with you. The more you use a particular ally the stronger they will become. There is also a new tab that will appear in your book, giving you access to their stats and the ability to equip them with special ally gear that can be found throughout the game world.
Missions. These are essentially quests that your allies can embark on while you are not actively utilizing them. Missions are a great way to find ally specific gear.

- Many current zones have added mechanics. For example, the cathedral library has sliding bookcases that have to be moved to open the next screen, and the second bell tower now has ropes to allow climbing to it's top (where you can find another new artifact)
- Most Rune skills have been revamped. Now they have a main use (ie casting with full runic energy) and a passive ability tied to each one.
- Rune stones can be found throughout the game world that can be read to learn new runes. Unless of course you already have them from previous versions of the game. Check your rune tab to see what you already have.
- Item drops are now randomized with quality and enchantment variations.
- All boss fights have been massively revised, and are now repeatable (with the exception of Magda for now) by using the new "Stone of Relocation" artifact. Each boss has an updated loot table with rare drops that can be farmed if you so choose.
- Virtually ALL dialogs have been updated and a shit load more have been added. This also includes cut scenes at certain points in the game. I am still trying to figure out ways to tell various parts of this story that will not break pace or add confusion.
- The ability to throw enemies is now tied to a combo/aggression meter. Successful blows will fill the meter. At 3/4 of a bar you can perform a throw, attempting a throw with a full bar will perform the choke slam (insta-kill). These do not work on most bosses however.

- Destructible junk in various rooms. Pots, boxes and even coffins for your wrecking pleasure. These will drop little health/power/sanity refills and sometimes consumables.
- Storage rooms are working now, check each one out to find items or keys (note that most doors that require keys are unlocked by default for now.)
- Weapons can now be equipped in either (and both) hands. Attacking will alternate between each hand making each weapon combination unique.
- 2 new sets of armor added to the game, 5 new weapons. Next update I will have an armory room added so you can try out everything available while the game is still in alpha.
- Many bug fixes for enemies, particularly the horrors. NO MORE REPLICATION!
- Several new rooms added. Flooded Passage (will be important soon), and the forest road to the cathedral.
- Level 1-0 "The Beginning" now has a small tutorial of sorts to highlight combat techniques that may not be obvious.
- Some new music added for certain rooms. Also added some sound effects to the Kara Aven prison sex scenario. The other sex scenes will get sounds in the next update.
- Various visual effects added to liven up the action a bit.

The story for the game was fun, and the combat was as well. This is what is carrying the majority of the game. However, I admit that the game feels a little dated and much like a flash game. If that does not bother you, then certainly play this game. It's perfect. With that said, me giving this 3/5 stars because it feels like a flash game is not a criticism, but more of a personal aversion. I personally don't enjoy walking to and from, backtracking over and over again.. grinding etc.. The story is great, play the game!
For the current version on f95zone (1.0.9), it has a lot of bugs. I like the gameplay and story - there aren't a lot of male protagonists for this type of game. I hate the way they make female protagonists have to lose to see some scenes. Here I can choose to do what I want, and the scenes pop up nicely between gameplay and story. However, the up-to-date version hasn't shown up, so I cannot finish the game, which makes this suck.
A great game, it has tons of content, dev is responsive MAIN FETISHES what is the main fetish of this game: in my opinion, the main fetish is "erotic horror" and "male power fantasy" (unironically, I'm being honest, I truly feel like a greek demigod when playing this lol) so if you like maledom and supernatural females then this game is great when I say tons of content, I mean 40+ hours of content [which is much above the average for games in this forum, and especially for non-VN games] I recommend people to play this and support the developer by buying it if you like it is this for you? so if you like side-scrolling action RPG games, and if you like supernatural females then grab this game. one of the reasons I bought this game was to fill the void left in me after finishing Madmind's Agony and this game did not disappoint. it has female demons, angels, gods, lovecraftian monsters, and many of them are fuckable, for any Agony fan this is a dream come true AMOUNT OF SEX I read some of the other reviews and I think there are people who have not gotten far in the game, because if they did, they would not complain that the game does not have enough females etc., it has many females to have sex (just take a look at the amount of female allies that you can have in the game, this can be done quite simply after starting a new game or loading one and going to the allies section, just look at the number of slots there...), but this is not a nukige game, meaning, this is not insta-sex game, instead, you have to work for it, this is a game first and porn game second, not the other way around so sex in this game is more of a reward for beating enemies and completing quests and sometimes seducing female enemies, but don't expect to be constantly sexing all NPCs like in Forest of the Blue Skin or Drain Mansion, this here is more like 60% gameplay and 40% sex or maybe 70% gameplay and 30% sex something like that but it does have an impressive amount of different females, it has gallery, different scenes etc personally I view this is a quality action RPG with erotic content in it imagine Skyrim with some sex mods; it's still a great RPG, and has some sex in it
Honestly even without the porn this will be a good game, its very artistic in its style like something out of a metal album cover or warhammer artbook. Characters are likable and the gameplay is pretty easy even on hard which is not a bad thing considering the game length and effort put into it. I wish there was more interaction between the girls or longer animations but for now this is a good product that is well worth your time.
... everything is bad accept story.... Sex scenes are lazy and boring and static and slow. Movement is janky often you get stuck on flat ground. OFten you literally can not attack or move for no reason. Like you just stood in wrong place or smth. Hit boxes are also bad. Weapons power level makes no sense, when you get fire bomb it deals like infinite damage and all other off hand weapons deal nothing. Extremely quickly your main attacks stop making senese, they deal nothing so you only wait for special abilities to attack. Crafting is not explained that you need to find crafting by trial and error. Quest are bugged that if you done it once you can do finish them infinitely for easy money which sadly is a good thing as it is extremely grindy for gold. normally you would need to grind like an hour for 100 k gold and then some random crafting for weak weapon/ armor uses it all. ================== OVer all it is buggy mess, with bad sex scenes. IT is only worth to play it for the story as they made it sort of unique but it quickly gets all bungled up. Like Odin appear out of nowhere and breaks everything. it was stupidly sudden and was dumb.
one of te best games you can play and you must try, you will enjoy every moment playing that game , Have Great Story that make you live it , amazing adventure, and really smart riddles to be fixed, nice animations
v1.0.8 I don't know if the game has a built-in DRM, but I and most other users on this forum can not get past a rather specific part of the game. Whereas the paid version on steam is reportedly to not have any problems at this specific part at all. Which begs the question, why would the dev share the game with us in this "buggy" state? When making an adult game you have to decide whether you wanna appeal more to the gamers or coomers. This game fails on both fronts. While the setting, characters, and story is interesting. The gameplay and adult-content not so much. The combat is extremely one-dimensional with 0 real build variation. I would just pick the weapon with highest damage numbers and spam click and win. The H-scenes are far and few in between and a good chunk of them aren't even something I'd consider attractive. By the end of the games you have dozens of attractive allies and you can actually do stuff with maybe 25% of them? Something to keep in mind is that this game is being sold for 25 dollars when a game like Witch's Night of Vengeance by D-lis is 10 bucks which is better in damn near everyway. The fact people are giving this game positive ratings shows what a horrible state the adult game industry is in. Suppose its a good opener game, still regret the hours I put into it as the pay off and scenes in general were extremely lackluster. TL;DR : In its current state I wouldn't recommend the game. Gameplay is meh at most. Adult content is less than meh.
Review for version 0.9.35: I was intrigued by the Lovecraftian setting at first, but I personally don't think it is a good fit for an adult game. The artist is clearly talented, and the animations are great, but the macabre nature of the world and the grimy art style make it really hard to find any scene particularly enticing. Instead, they feel more utilitarian, serving as rewards for beating a boss or advancing a story. The story itself is interesting and well-written, certainly the strongest part of this game so far. The voice actors did a great job. The core gameplay is solid conceptually, but it needs a lot of polishing and balancing. Entire groups of enemies can be stunlocked and killed without receiving any hits in return. The same goes for the bosses; I don't think I encountered a boss that couldn't be killed by standing in one place, smashing the attack button and drinking potions occasionally. Followers are extremely annoying, I wish there was an option to make them invisible or semi-transparent. In summary: great story + average art + poor gameplay = Average

This is a well made game, well thought out platformer, nice combat, interesting setting, cool story and characters, a little buggy but not too bad. Unfortunately this is not a porn game, the porn scenes are few and far between and not really worth it. It's more like a good game with a little porn in between levels. Hence not fappable so don't waste your time if you are here for that. I wish there was some way on this website we could rate and communicate to other users a sort of "fappibility rating", it would save a lot of time and bandwidth.
It's a work in progress, but so far, I've thoroughly enjoyed playing this. As someone who actually likes gameplay in these types of games, this one doesn't disappoint. Cool artwork, and the story is fun. Can't wait for the final product.
Review for version 0.5.1 Wow, what a surprise this game was! After playing so many utter crap games around here, working my way through awful controls, complete clunkyness, abysmal UIs, mind-numbing "stories" and even disgusting graphics just to get some lackluster and totally not worth H content I almost forgot there are actual good GAMES out here. I can't overstate what a breath of fresh air it is playing Book of Korvald. Gameplay is smooth, UI is fitting the theme and mostly intuitive, story is engaging and funny (especially the main char), graphics are beautiful (love the church painting kinda style) and the animations are nicely crafted and true to the style. Yes, it has some bugs, some areas that do not look as beautiful as others, some questionable map design choices. It's not even sex intensive, fact which put me off at first and I reckon others as well BUT during gameplay you don't feel that as the amount of H content is well balanced and tied to the story and game mechanics. That BALANCE I think is the key to a great sex game experience and it makes it actually FUN to play and motivates you to progress. And this game here nails it. Although Book of Korvald is by no means a perfect game, I'll give it 5 to make it stand out because it deserves to. It's also not a finished game, so more changes, additions and improvements are yet to come. I reckon with time, most of the flaws will be ironed out and could potentially get there *fingers crossed*. So yeah, if you're also tired of all the glorified picture/animation galleries, half-assed or abandoned piles of trash, uninspired or lame clones that dare call themselves 'games', do yourself a favor and give this one a go. It also has one of the most active game devs I've seen. Honestly, the fact that he only gets 70$ per month for all this is a crime, considering quite a few devs reek in thousands for sitting on their asses and taking ages to add breadcrumbs of content. Punching Donut, you Sir have my utmost respect and I wish you godspeed with the development of this gem! Looking forward to what the future might bring. Though, I gotta say, the main menu in 0.3.5 was more epic and fitting than the current one.
Great game with fun gameplay and nice scenes! The dev is a great help and when you find bugs he will almost immediatly fix them and roll out an updated version with the bug fix on his discord. I also suggest downloading the latest version of the game from the discord as the one linked to the forum is an older version. I rate 10/10!
One of the most, and fun games, i ever played, Not even including the NSFW portion of it, gameplay itself, is so ..entertaining, I just wish you could remove the allies, having em follow you constantly, sometimes get in the way of the fun.(The Dev has now fixed this you can solo and summon allies) pretty fun
good so far , smooth graphics interesting story. Ilike that the "hero" of the game is a scribe. Scribes are often regulated to just telling the stories of Heros. I get lost often due to no clear quest log
this game is really good it has game play good models and good story it has a few bugs but the dev is hard working and fixes them asap i love to see all his works till the end i highly recommend playing this game show some love to dev patreon if u liked the game i think he really deserves the support
As of 0.13, the game is buggy but shows immense promise as a quality metroidvania with a male protagonist who gets to occasionally rape his enemies and have sexy times with his allies. I look forward to future updates hungrily. There's enough game here to make up for the distance between sex scenes.
great game with huge potential. The combat is actually fun and could be a game in of itself. the only complaints i have right now is it feels too easy and the companion is too strong. also some bugs here and there but that is to be expected of such an early version. The story is great and characters are fun too. great animations. truly hoping this game survives and gets fully released.
IMO this is one of the most creative games on here, for a 2d scroller. Huge potential in every aspect of it & high quality work overall for such a low version number. Great art, very deep worldbuilding, and sex elements as a garnish to a well thought out game core; rather than it being the entire point everything else gets built around.
