About Burrows

Burrows is a furry visual novel by Nikko, made in Ren'Py with 2D CG artwork. You play as Grey, a weary possum who leaves his old life in 1920s New Orleans and is pulled into a nightmarish sea of souls by the mysterious bartender Virgil. There he meets men linked to his former home, a plantation with a dark past, and must dig deeper when they are taken away. Its tone blends horror and gay relationships.

The current build is v0.18.1, dated May 12, 2026, and development remains ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, is written in English, and is uncensored. The latest update adds the Hiro half of chapter 4, which requires choosing Hiro at the red choice and continuing normally before switching to his content. It also adds a new minigame, with the creator asking for feedback on performance, difficulty, and length.

After leaving behind his former life in 1920's New Orleans, a jaded possum named Grey finds himself thrown into an unending nightmare by the enigmatic bartender, Virgil. Lost in a churning sea of souls, Grey comes across a group of men somehow connected to his former home, a plantation replete with it's own dark history. Just as quickly as they find each other they're suddenly taken away, leaving Grey only one option: Dig a little deeper.

Remember, to access this part of the story, you MUST choose Hiro at the red choice and continue on in the story as you normally would. It will automatically switch to Hiro's content at a certain point. This update also includes a new minigame!
