Candle Daemon is a 2D side scrolling adventure game with action RPG elements.
You will be playing as Jack, and your task is to collect Agnete's 9 arcana to open the gate into the world of the Jester.

Chelsea's aunt Agnete has been caught between realms. Her mysterious disappearance from the human world has set off a whirlwind journey that will ultimately culminate in Chelsea vanishing as well. The World between Worlds, a space that some mistakenly confuse with Limbo or Purgatory, is actually covered in cracks, where beings fall in from different planes of existence. You can arrive here from anywhere: from the Moon Realm, Hell, Heaven, and the human world.
This space also reflects other worlds and has its own net of tunnels, but Agnete cannot use them to escape, as she is a ghost. The blood of someone related to her is the only thing that can set her free. So Agnete performs a ritual to summon Jack, the Candle Daemon.
I wanted to check out the game because of the sidescroller and bdsm tag, but holy fuck this game is janky. The combat just straight up does not work most of the time and the control scheme makes this even worse. Additionally, I ended up inside a wall in the first 5 minutes and could not get out so it's buggy as well. Also why are animations not skippable if they take minutes? All in all, just spare yourself the trouble and don't play it even if the art looks good to you.

It's not optimized for controllers. Controls are whacky (feels like youre running on ice or something). Your dash ignores walls. The spider boss doesnt lose hp (bug?). If you accidentally press the sex button on a mob, you're stuck for ~20 seconds watching the animation (can't skip it). The mob "health" doesn't fit the healthbars. It looks like you can dash through the whole game, most of the mobs can be ignored.

About what I would expect from Towndarktales. Decent porn in a janky package. Except this time they decided to cram an action game into said janky system with minimal changes. 1/5 despite the fact that I quite like their stuff usually. The control scheme is nonsensical and is the real final boss of the game. Even with perfect controls the actual combat is barely functional and always on the edge of breaking completely. Also, DO NOT use the sex finisher. You will be stuck watching a barely functional loop for the next minute. Now the H content is good. But just get a gallery save. Despite the fact that I do not recommend the game, I do recommend the H content. That is worth the download.
