I wouldn't even accept this game for free after the recent update... 1. They brought back the ue4 movement anims because some idiot asked them to. Ice skating around with morrowind level animations and heavy input lag / mouse smoothing... definitely love that. 2. They ducked something with the graphics and since steam players only get 1 update every 3-6 months... we're basically ducked until they give up a crumb. 2.1. Ghosting... everything looks like a smeared painting and my character has a blurry outline that smears when turning the camera. 2.2. Settings stopped saving and since the graphics are fcked i'm stuck on ultra which no longer runs at the 60 fps... getting 20-30 fps now -_-. 3. They only have the newest version available on steam while patreon players can go back and download whatever version of the game they want... unless they took that away from them with with the patreon launcher. It's like they fired all the people making the game and replaced them with whoever worked on borderlands 4. Honestly happy i only had to buy the game once unlike the patrons.
Reminds me of a more adult Conan Exiles, plenty to build and explore so far, I hope the development continues, Though I still have a lot currently to do. Definitely looking forward to getting a dragon.

Good looking thx to UE, voices thx to ai generation and what's left? Awful animation in fights with great input lag and strange hit boxes, awful camera in sex scenes, leveling as formality and a lot of running between quest givers for long distances. Plot? Nah it's formality as all in this game. I played for few hrs and only had one gay sex scene with furry. What a waste of time. +one star for work invested in this project. PS Forgot about some bugs and below average optimization (like in any other UE games from inexperienced devs)
I played a lot of 3d games and none of them were as enjoyable to explore as this game. Carnal instinct is an rpg 3rd person story game with dungeon clearing game mechanics and for every step of the way i wasn't really bored when playing it. The sex scenes are great and animated really professionally and there's an abundance of them as of version 0.7.2 But oh my god the performance is awful. (i despise ue5) it definitely needs some great optimization overall if this game didn't even have sex scenes i would still love to play it.
Excellent game, I'm pleasantly surprised by this gem. Exploration is enjoyable, as is the loot system. The weapons are varied, although armor that offers real protection is currently too rare. The music is good and the voice acting is perfect. I think the combat system could be improved to be less rigid. It feels like Assassin's Creed, the way our character climbs walls and buildings; it surprised me. The quests are varied; frankly, I didn't expect to be so engrossed in this game. Definitely one to watch.
I bought Carnal Instinct on Steam over a year ago and, damn, what a game. I genuinely love both available versions: the UE4 build already delivers a solid amount of quality content with well-implemented mechanics, while the UE5 version (available through the Steam beta branch) takes things to a whole new visual level thanks to Lumen and Nanite — insane lighting and detail. I do miss a more dynamic camera during sex scenes — something like a full 360° free cam to enjoy every angle — but even so, it doesn’t take long for players to buy into the experience and dive headfirst into the content. A huge part of that comes from the characters: top-tier models for both sexes, with an insane variety of races (humans, felines, reptiles, drakes, centaurs, anubites, and more). Pros: The quests feature well-written, engaging dialogue packed with lore from the world of Sabu — an epic desert setting filled with ancient ruins and exotic creatures. Combat is simple but works really well: fluid animations, responsive controls, and no annoying game-breaking bugs. You unlock a mount very early on (thank you, devs), which helps a lot with traversal, and the bonfires acting as fast-travel points are a blessing for exploration — Souls-like, but without the extra suffering. Character models and body customization are absolutely insane. In UE5, the quality is stunning, with textures that honestly feel AAA-level — skin, fur, scales, everything looks polished. Tons of unlockable races and faces, and there are no “meh” or visually broken characters, especially on the female side. It’s genuinely fun (and very tempting) to test every single one. The environments deserve special praise. Visually, this is easily the game’s biggest strength. Tal-Senet and Mehden Island impress with their scale, ancient architecture, and UE5’s incredible lighting. Water reflections look gorgeous, vegetation feels thoughtfully placed, and the ruins are packed with detail. At first glance, the world looks alive, with dungeons, enemies, and points of interest spread across the map. Cons: Early quests still require a lot of long treks across the map until you unlock all bonfires and fully benefit from the mount — and even though you get it early, it doesn’t completely solve the issue of excessive distances in the early game. Sex animations are split between two systems: the older DSS1 (fixed, very limited scenes) and the newer DSS2 (more dynamic, better interactions, and partial free cam in some scenes). This mix fragments the experience and makes things feel inconsistent between UE4 and UE5. DSS2 clearly has more potential, but it still lacks full camera freedom and deeper interaction overall. Some animation bugs still pop up, such as strange body deformations — especially noticeable in cowgirl positions with certain NPCs or exotic races. And here’s the biggest issue: while the world looks alive visually, it often falls flat in actual gameplay. You’ll encounter crocodiles, drakes, and other creatures, but there are long stretches of walking with nothing happening — no events, no encounters, no surprises. “It’s a desert,” some might say. Sure, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of patrols, repeatable mini-events, hunts, or dynamic encounters to keep exploration engaging. If I remember anything else, I’ll edit this later… Conclusion: Without a doubt, Carnal Instinct has the best visuals ever seen in an adult RPG with an adventure focus. Solid combat, gorgeous environments, and a world that makes you want to explore — it’s easy to sink hours just roaming around and testing content. The early access is very active, with frequent updates on Patreon and Steam (like the recent v0.7, which added new quests and cosmetics). That said, with models this good and all the hype around DSS2, the scenes still don’t fully deliver. What’s missing is polish: full free cam, bug fixes, and less rigid systems — sometimes they improve one area and break another. The potential is massive, leaving you with that strong “I want more” feeling. For now, my take is simple: it’s absolutely worth the money for fans of erotic fantasy, as long as you’re willing to wait for future polish.

This game has come a long way, even switching engines from UE4 to UE5. It is still in development by a small dedicated team. I own this game on Steam and I would definitely recommend it. If you like it, consider supporting its development.
It is amazing as a game! Very well done, the game part is by far better than Wild Life, even the concept is great for a normal game Yet H scenes are hard to acquire and I found myself playing for the sake of exploration and gameplay. Got tricked Another issue for me is that the only way to get H scenes with human female is to play as one, which it turn means that there is even less H content left fo me. It's a shame. Gameplay is great at this point and Egyptian theme allows for crazy volume of H content like orgies, rituals, supernatural and all sorts of fetishes. Adding some good 20 long, hardcore and thematic scenes would make this game complete.
I must admit, I will personally never understand adult games that lean THIS far into the "game" side of things. If I wanted to play a "GAME" game, I would play something, you know, normal - something I can talk to my friends about, maybe even play with them. Don't take this to mean I don't want any gameplay - quite the contrary, some of my favorite adult titles have very complicated mechanics. It's just that, the "adult" side of things should always be the primary focus - as of v0.6.9, that is not the case for Carnal Instinct. Worse, it seems to be a minor point. Let's break down where gameplay is focused. Firstly, this is kind of an open world RPG with combat, somewhat akin to Skyrim. There is a fairly broad open world, a relatively pretty one at that, populated somewhat scarcely with relatively pretty NPC's. 60% of your time in the game is spent traveling from one location to the next, 20% of your time is spent in click-spam combat (translation: no technique required, just click spam) with basically mummies, 11% of your time is spent listening to dialog or other narrative/story pieces, 8% of your time is spent in various menus like inventory or maps, and 1% of your time is spent on sexual things. Really, this is abysmal in an adult game, in my opinion. It's a shame because it's very obvious that a ton of work has gone into this, but amount of work and technological achievements are not significant factors in weighting how good an adult game is (to me, at least). I wish dev the best, but I've learned how to snuff out a bad adult game. There are so many bad adult games out there and they can waste so much of your time if you let them. After trying it for a few hours, this game is giving off all the signs of a bad adult game, cheif of which is a failure to prioritize the reason we're all here: the adult stuff.
There are some bugs annd the optimization is not quiet the best, but overall the game is a solid 4/5 at least for me, lots of fun if you dont want to inmediately start jerking off when you start to play and instead explore the island and start doing the quests
I wanted to like this as it sounded promising and looked to deliver based on the screenshots. However, the open world is rather dull with little-to-no reason to go outside of POIs or encounter icons. The sex is.. okay, I guess. Everyone looks very sexy, but the thrill sort of ends there. Sex scenes seem to be secondary to the main game. Which would be fine if the ones we did get weren't a single up and down loop until the meter fills up and you cum (unseen) I applaud the character customization once you get far enough-- it's far more than I would have ever anticipated. One of the bigger issues is that going anywhere is a fucking slog. Yes, I had Aadi and even then it just felt like a terrible experience. The boat is MISERABLE despite being only somewhat necessary. I know it's trying to be Assassin's Creed in a way, but ultimately this ends up feeling like any Ubislop open world game. Just some boring fetch quests or LMB mashing fighting the same couple enemies. There's nothing 'new' to offer here. also, I ran into one bug which forced me to reload a save. the torch would not unequip and even destroying the item did not work.
I think this game is great; it has a very large map with lots of random interaction with characters. (i randomly convinced a guy to jump off a cliff with fake wings) The game looks amazing; it has an interesting environment and sexy characters. I feel like the combat is pretty fun and interactive. the voice acting is awesome, it gives a lot of life to the character cons The scene controls are weird. You can move around with your mouse sometimes, but you are stuck with, like, three specific poses and you can't move much most of the time. Leveling up is a pain past about level 5. The tutorial/start of the game is really long and doesn't allow intimate scenes.
Incredibly ambitious and while it has room to grow what exists now is better than any 3d adult game out there. They've done a great job implimenting QOL changes and other things such as character customization that you usually only see in higher end games.
Damn the bugs I kept encountering just flat out annoyed the gell out of me. Trying to travel using the boats was a rollof the dice as to whether it actually worked properly or not. Sometimes you are on top of the boat driving it and can change directions and go where you want. OR you end up underneath the water will no directional control and the person moves along automatically in one direction with no controls. You can look up and see the boat moving above you. Sex. I am hope at some point you get to have sex with the female characters you meet. I meet them, sex is offered, my character responds only with maybe another time. Now if the female also has a dick then my charater does not hesitate to decide to have sex. Sex controls suck balls by the way. Could not do shit until I actually unlocked a dick by the way. If you die. The quest you were working on just flat out disappears. UHHHH! Aside from these faults it probably is not a bad game. But I stayed pissed off more than excited to play it. Hope this improves. Would like to give it another try.
The game is beautiful and actually fun to play, and i might come off as rash which is not my goal but, the game is litteraly unplayable.. I was softlocked thrice in the game, and one of them was a softlock that just kept happening and wouldn't go away.. The game has potential for sure so i'll come back later and surely give it a positive review

If you die with the first boss your game stops working, Unreal Engine 5, the save game option doesn't even work properly, the optimization is garbage, instant deaths, broken missions, I simply see this project as garbage.
This game is a letdown. A critical bug with the first boss makes the mission inaccessible after your first death, completely halting progress. It's impossible to see any further content, rendering the game essentially unplayable. Urgent fixes are needed!
