The protagonist is very annoying and seems to have amnesia. And she's quite strange. The humor is forced and sometimes embarrassing. And this whole breaking the fourth wall thing is very silly. It feels more like a conversation simulator. If had written a book, it would have been much better.

I am so excited for this one! Gave it a try a while back, liked it enough to want to come back after a few updates. I came back to it for v0.6 and it didn't disappoint. Except for that cliffhanger at the end of v.0.6. Pure evil. This a MOSTLY wholesome yuri visual novel. I say mostly because there is some heavy discussion / confrontation at moments, but so far it's nothing crazy. There was a brief moment in the story where I was suddenly concerned that this was going to become another Lesson in Live (I am so sick of that genre) but my concerns weren't realized, thankfully. The humor is genuinely great, in my opinion. Charity is a very funny and cute MC. She is a bit of a chaotic goofball and it is done so well. So many try to do this and fail, often relying far too much on memes, or the comedic timing is all over the place, and it just gets to be cringe. But I never felt that way about her internal monologues or yapping. The supporting cast is all mostly great too. There are SOME tropes among them, but they're done well and their characters designs are all cute. Ai, Hinata and Rise are my favorites so far, but I enjoy them all. If I had to knock this one for anything, it's that this game is looking to be a bit of a slow burn for lewd content. The lewd content so far is basically non-existent. There is some nudity and groping, but nothing beyond that. So if that is all you really care about, there is hours of reading to do before you get there - whenever that shows up. Anymore if something looks to be a slow burn, I eventually drop it after much frustration. BUT, I enjoyed this one so much I'm willing to be patient. It is rare that the thing I love most about one of these games is the MC, but I love Charity man. Can't wait for more.

ChariKiss is a cute yuri visual novel. It's nominally classified as an adult VN but what few lewd-ish events there are don't happen until a little ways in. If you're here for a quick fap, there are probably better choices, but if you value storytelling, characters, and cuteness then the game deserves full marks, hence the 5 star rating. There's a diverse cast and so far none of the characters have turned out to be the one-note archetypes that they seem to be at first glance. The writing is solid and the dialogue flows well. Now that more of the narrative has been revealed, I'm loving the direction the story has gone. The renders have improved with every update, and as of the latest version I would consider ChariKiss to deserve a spot among the other top Koi AVNs on visuals alone. Easy 5/5, can't wait for more updates (Updated for version 0.8)
