Permission to Love

While it may be early, I'm giving this 5 stars because the writing is good and that doesn't seem rewarded often enough in this space. Yes, "adult visual", but also "novel", dammit. Characters feel distinct and interactions between them make sense, there's a mystery to solve that is compelling and will work as a story. Visually wise, decent work with KK done, the the male characters look alright and the girls look good. Overall, a promising start.

v0.1 review obviously just a 0.1 release, so i'm a bit hesitant to review this, but since i'm pretty sure mine is the first, i'd give it some thoughts. the graphics are pretty standard for Koikatsu!, but there are some weird disconnects technologically here and there. It seems to be a medieval fantasy/renaissance era world, but there areworking showers, some of the homes look more modern, and there are occasional things here and there that draw me out of immersion. nothing gets in the way or clips or anything, though. girls are cute but not bodacious fuck dolls like many other games rendered in this engine. the plot is a bit weird in the beginning, and it feels like multiple ideas were scrapped before arriving at this one. it just barely works. there's a fair number of typos and weird syntax--leads me to believe this is not a native english speaker, but i was able to plow through without too much of an issue or amount of confusion. it DOES seem like the main character gets over his hatred rather quickly, but the demoness check on the front page image...the way she talks feels weird, always using Sir or Mister. this would make more sense if SHE was in a military, but there are places where it feels weird, almost like it was autotranslated from something else. the overall plot itself is fine, and there's some interesting moments, but the women in this talk like they are constantly propositioning the MC, rather than being his wife, or hated enemy, or child. it's hard to explain but strange. the 2 sex scenes are alright, but they don't last very long, either one, and are not the most well described. there are the standard koikatsu animations, and they work well enough i guess but it's nothing I haven't seen, and there's no separate cumming scene, and barely any dirty talk. i think the wife has like only 2 or 3 lines during the entire intercourse scene. making those filthier and more aggressive would go a long way. Not a bad first outing. Two sex scenes, and an okay amount of content for a 0.1. but not much i haven't seen in a hundred other games of this genre and type. so far anyways. 3.5/5
