Dapplecap Glade is a simple 2D settlement management game with JRPG style turn based combat and adult content. Spoiler Lore: After returning from your first solo hunt, you find your village burnt to the ground by an invading army. Fleeing from the soldiers that patrol the remains of your home, you're forced further into the woods, only losing your pursuers in the deep forest. Your people avoided this part of the forest, where the tales and legends spoke of fae and spirits ever seeking to claim a lost soul. As you stumble in the half-light beneath the mighty Dragonbark Cedars, praying desperately to the nature goddess to offer you succour, a whisper winds out from the shadows. With it's promises of a new home, and a way to fight back against the threat you now face, the deal it puts forth is tempting but with the denizens of the deep there's always a price to pay..

First of all, it's NOT a porn game. It's a settlement management sim, like Rimworld or Mad Island (or Strive for Power). And UI is not very intuitive, and the game has lots of mechanics. But it's surprisingly feature-rich once you get through it all. In all honesty, I wouldn't recommend playing it right now, since it's still quite rough. And the real rating is 3/5. But after two more releases and some polishing it should be great.

Saving the game makes it so you can never run the game again, ui was made by a blind person, and the whole game is more like a concept of a game, amazing would play if it game just stoped crashing forever

To be as direct as possible, give it time. This game is rough around the edges and has bugs and crashes but it has charm and dedication. I look forward to seeing where it goes because so far I enjoy the game play. Give it another 6 months (for context I'm writing this in June 2025) of development and time for the game dev to flesh out what the game will be and it will be a blast. I strongly recommend give it a play just to see what's being worked on. TLDR: Good but new game dev needs time to refine it.

0.0.13 This thing crashes more often than a 3247 mods skyrim on startup. Click hut? That's a crash Click male icon? That's a crash Picked berries from a tree from the left and not the right? Oof rookie mistake, and also that's a crash EDIT: You know what, saw the dev reply in thread and I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt when they say they couldn't replicate crashes, so here is a bit more of a review WITHOUT the unplayable bugs taken into account: The tutorial is a novel, it would be better to have these spread out rather than several walls of text and then free reign. The buttons or functions could do with some tooltips, maybe even a "quest" system like mobile games have, such as "Go to the chief's hut, interact using Left mouse and customise your character with the X button". It's bits like this that help streamline the initial process. The game seems to have a good original concept and stars in the eyes dreams, and it could really be something, just need to really focus on the fundamentals and resolve the crashes before anyone can even test the game beyond this point though =/
