About Dusk or Sensei
Dusk or Sensei is a Ren'Py visual novel by Munei Yi, presented with 3DCG art in a sci-fi, dystopian setting. You play as a returned soldier, the only male teacher in a school where men have disappeared. The story follows his interactions with female characters, balancing teaching duties with adult attention as he becomes an emotional anchor for people who view him as the last man in their world. It is a story about care, dependency, and who may be saving whom.
The current version is v0.1, released on April 13, 2025. Development is ongoing, and the latest changelog notes an initial release. The game runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android, is available in English, and is fully uncensored.
Developer's description
The war didn't kill him. It just emptied him out. He came back to a nation where the men had vanished. Streets, classrooms, the eyes of every girl — all filled with a silence that begged to be broken. He became the only male teacher in the school. He thought he was just there to teach. But the way those girls looked at him… was not how you look at a teacher. It was how you look at the only living, breathing man left in your world. They came to him with their wounds. Some wanted to be saved. Some wanted to be ruined. Some just wanted to cry in his arms and pretend it never happened. He reached out. One. Two. Three. What he didn't know was this — when you become the last piece of driftwood for drowning souls… you sink with them. This is a story about saving. And a story about not knowing who is saving whom.
