Forbidden Basketball is a short adult dating sim from Effx Games, built in Ren'Py and presented with animated 3DCG renders. It follows two close friends who reach the college they wanted and spend their early days chasing parties, alcohol, and sexual encounters with female students. The story is a light-hearted tribute to Blue Mountain State, asking whether their college fantasy will match teen movie expectations or collapse under poor choices.
The final version was released on September 6, 2023, so development is complete. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac in English and is uncensored. The last update added 360 lines of dialogue and 60 new renders, removed the character stat system, and made all content available without cheats or mods. It also concluded the story.
