Growing Things Up

It really is a fantastic game—truly a masterpiece. I know the sequel is coming soon; I’d even be willing to support it on Steam. However, I’m not entirely sure about the details. The quality is superb, but it ended on a terrible cliffhanger. By the way, if anyone knows when Season 2 is coming out, could you please let me know?

2 stars based on the time this project has been developing and the NO CONTENT at all ,,almost if not for 4 sex scenes then and there, the story is interesting but this dev has no idea of what is he doing so you go from a point of time to another in more than 1 occasion but it is not engaging because the situations make no sense, the MC has some mental problems regarding an event from his past that after 3 years we only can imagine what it was...that mental things splits his personality in two, a shitty thing for me because its relating it so bad .... well the only interesting char here is deborah because she is a slut but well writted. the rest are shit and if you delete them as dev did with brenda it doesnt matter.... 1 star visuals 2 star deborah this game is bad and with no content and not interesting

This is one of those AVNs that feels like the renders are done before the writing. If you know you know. The renders are really good and the animations are awesome. But the storytelling in the writing is really bad. But the main reason i cant recommend this one is because, in the 3 years of development. Where the MC is supposed to start school in 2 weeks from the start of the story. He has only had his first day in school. And this is even with a time skip. And i cant help but think that the story was supposed to be something different before it changed to what it is now. Spoiler With the whole renting a room situation, basically the first conflict in the story, that just sorts itself out with no explanation

I enjoyed the game. Spoiler: plot At the beginning it was confusing until I realized the MC has a split personality caused by childhood trauma and the abuse of his step sister by his father and a character called the fox. the characters are well rendered the the seggs scenes are well done. The animations are some of the best I have scene. I would have given 5 stars but the content was shorter than most. I'm looking forward to the next season and hope the Devs don't drop it.

What I liked is how the story unfolds and the choices that you have that have real impact on the game. The Sex scenes are very entertaining an fit in nicely situationally. I found that excellent rendering of the Girls was well done and all of the enviromental scenes were top-notch

Nice artwork. Nice characters. The story is a bit weird, but it's good enough for a porn game. At least the story and the characters are followable, so it's better than other games. Femdom talks from a ginger are nice. Render quality and scenes are fappable

I'm one of those weirdos who actually enjoys the story even more than the smut with AVNs, and this one definitely hooked me from the start. The premise is very interesting, just enough of a shady background to pique your interest, well-supported by an MC who isn't completely insufferable and a cast of characters that are unique enough to hold you there. The 'twist' in the story was also quite well done, I didn't expect it at all, and I was interested to see how it would progress. But then...there was some weird skip where the MC that I had been playing as a shy virgin suddenly becomes some BDSM side-hustle where he's banging married chicks. The narrative whiplash sorta threw me out of the story entirely. I feel like I missed a whole chapter, and honestly I'm not sure if I want to continue with it. That said, the girls are all gorgeous and the art fidelity is nice, definitely no issues with the graphics or music, but that pacing problem and about-face for the MC is just a weird one to handle. Maybe I'll go back to it, but I have a feeling the new direction wasn't a course-correct so much as it was a course-lock.

This review was published in [S1 v1.03] The standout feature is the excellent character models—I absolutely adore the female characters. The story is also quite engaging; at least I found it genuinely entertaining throughout my playthrough. I firmly believe a good game deserves recognition, so I'm giving it five stars!

The beginning was great, and the visuals and sex scenes are great, but the story. The STORY. Oh my god! The amount of stories that have screwed themselves because the writer takes their initial success and suddenly decide they're master wordsmiths is embarrassingly high. This is one of them. For some reason, the writer decides to focus the main story NOT on the girls, but instead on the main character having a really really fucking stupid version of D.I.D. It's like the shitty version of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. How does this massive part impact the story? Basically not at all. That's what is so fucking funny to me: the main plot device that drives literally the entire story is not only boring, but impacts NEARLY NOTHING in the actual scene-to-scene experience. Literally everything that the other personality does could just be explained by someone having anger issues and it would change literally nothing of import. I mean the description talks about being in an all-girls house, right? So why is it halfway through basically the only time we spend with the people IN the house is just this boring back and forth repetition with the landlord/dominatrix going "oh I have no control cause of the personality I don't know about. Oh also, I got trauma". The irritating thing is that because of this personality, the MC also changes far more slowly than he should, because the dev keeps just switching to the alternative personality. I know there's some secret abusive sex cult shit going on as the supposed main plot, but it almost operates in parallel to the actual REAL shit you care about, rather than being entwined into the time you spend with the actual love interests. I genuinely do not care about the secret sex trafficking cult, which is insane when those are INHERENTLY interesting. Honestly I think the 4/10 I'm giving it is probably a bit low, but I've just lost so much interest over the last 6 months or so on account of the intense focus on the alternate personality, and that rating is based on the expectation that the AVN will continue with this quality. Keep in mind, I think the AVN CAN get better, cause the initial setup was more like an 8/10, especially when the focus was actually on the WOMEN rather than this stupid fucking D.I.D thing (and now we've gotten to a point where you'd think we're quite far along, but almost none of the girls have actually had any genuinely good character writing moments). if you just want the good visuals and sex scenes? Sure, download it and jerk off for a bit, then delete it. Otherwise, it's unfortunately just kinda a waste of time rather than anything super meaningful.

If you would have told me this was the next work by dr pink cake after Acting lessons , I would have agreed with you without instantly. Growing things up , is an immaculate story about a broken boy who wants to exact revenge from the world that harmed his loved ones, while trying to improcve loves of those around him, and using sexual therapy to mend his broken self, if that doesn't make you vie for an avn , I don't know what will. This game does justoce to everything in its premise and there are hints like news programme a or how other character react to a situation that makes thi sworld feel layered and deep. Tghere is a porn logic working here but it is subtle enough that it doesn't cross over the uncanny vallety , especially the relaytiopn with almost all female character is laid out perfectly , where each li is a chgracter of their own. The design is among the top of the owrk ,a nd they just improve over time, there are many plot points/ charachters , that have been layered throughout the series, hence I am eagerly waiting for this series to continue. The voice acting is a bit novel, and it was a good addition but , imo, it doesmn't adda nything for me, as the voice acting doesn't imbue eaxch character with their unique charm. sIM,ILARLY THE MINI GAME ARE GOD LEVEL; HARD, WHERE YOU ALMOST ALWAYS LOOSE, UNTIL UNLESS YOPU TRY MULTIPLE TIMES with saves, which almost made me gave up on the series. Finally tghis is a game to ehich I would come again and agin despite its intial run, not because itt does branching story great or that its sex scenes are the best, but because the the story itself 6old here is one of the best in this avn genere , And I am excited for any future dev in this saga 4.7/5

This is some good shit. The first half of the game felt good but it didn't hook me up but boy did it hook me up just as the second half started. The story i loved it and honestly i am very excited to see where it goes. Game deals with very heavy stuff but it never feels cheap. The mc at first felt your average goodie shoes mc but damn as you play, you discover so many layers to the mc and even the other characters. I am very exited to see how this unfolds in future. some objective stuff: Renders are pretty good Animations are top notch Li are voiced and its kind of an miss or hit Ui is pretty good Music gets the job done Subjective stuff: I liked and loved some characters Story i loved it I would really recommend this game.

Growing Things Up [S1 v1.0 Steam] 5/5 - Psycho MC CGI - Good Quality Animations - really good Plenty of variety when it comes to LI's and casuals. What I like about this game is is the dual personality MC, which makes this game quite interesting because it is not a mindless pornfest but also explores the deep pits of human mind, where good guys on the outside may be psychos on the inside. A good play / fap none the less.

Good stuff. Great visuals, LI's have distinct personalities. And also, love the femdom stuff. Perfect if you want to relax one evening. Looking forward to see more updates and where it goes. Cheers to the developer.

This game is way above average, it has a good story, great graphics, awesome girls, and adult humor. Give it a try, you won't regret it. Complaints usually come from the frequency of updates, but ignore that and enjoy it, it's a great game.

Just finished Season 1 and I’m already counting down to Season 2! Incredible cast, beautiful renders, and a really engaging story from start to finish. Big congrats on the release, and best wishes for the continued development ahead!

This game has a great set of visuals and wonderful voice acting! I like how some decisions you make can have little “thoughts” associated with it, such as “She might not of heard me”, to add a bit of flavor beyond a positive or negative reaction from the NPC. The story progression is rather linear with even being invited to events by NPCs doesn’t interfere with other events, allowing you to explore it all if you wanted. And some sins of your past can haunt you in quick-time events. I appreciate the attention to BDSM as a culture, a relationship/dynamic, and as a tool for healing trauma. So many BDSM tags are thrown in as a fetish or a power fantasy, which is great(!), but there’s more to it than that and this explores/introduces it well. Can’t wait for the next episode/season!

Cool characters, nice story, very good that is voiced so you can even more engage with characters. Overall good game, looking forward for season 2. Maybe a little bit more scenes will be nice and score will be higher.

Pretty decent, good voice acting... great models. But the I ended up forced into playing a mini-game of beer pong.... save scumming, trying again, with a broken mechanic of a delayed button, making the mini "game" a test of my patience. And my patience failed the test. Turned it off, and removed the game. Not sure how devs put this into VN's, thinking it's enjoyable.

Season 1 has way more content than I expected, and the game is really good. For a Season 1, there’s a lot to do. Multiple scenes, solid progression, and characters that actually feel different from each other. The writing is better than most adult VNs out there, the art and animations are on point, and the adult content feels earned instead of forced. Everything flows naturally, which is something a lot of games in this genre fail at. Overall, this is a very high-quality adult VN with plenty of content, great characters, and a strong start to the series. Definitely recommended if you’re into story-driven adult games. Looking forward to the next seasons for sure.
