v0.1
Initial Release
Well done game witch excellent art and animations, a decent story and the gameplay is okay, the UI is terrible and the controls suck on pc. But the game is manly made to be played on mobile devices afaik, this is why the controls and ui are clunky on pc. The game could have specific versions for mobile and pc, with better ports and changes for each platform. Solid project overall, keep a eye on this dev.
The work behind this game is abyss. This game doesn't just you offer hard-story gameplay with ero scenes, it goes beyond that. Everywhere you go there'll be a massive work of pixel art. Literally near every sprite/background/scene is fully animated making the player enjoy lot more of the game. I came from the first game which wasn't the great deal but this one made play till the 99% of the game if it wasn't cuz my stupid ahh deleted the save. It's worth playing if you want a hard game with high quality art.
Wataponno clearly improved art-wise over the span of a few games they released, however the gameplay is severely lacking and not redeemed by pleasant sex scenes. Inclusion of the wonky neon bright furry caught me off guard and was an unwelcome sight to an overall aesthetically coherent game. There is a huge number of animations and characters but it's a boring slog and none of them are worth your time or effort. Avoid this game.
The game certainly spare no expense on the quality H content, it's clear it was made with love. However the gameplay drag it down to clunky and unbearable. Want to get dirty with the enemy? First hit them with spell until they're wet or dead. If they're wet, you'll get to enjoy H-animation in the middle of battle that you'll forget the tension and the latter you'll gain nothing but blue balls. The story is not all there despite the addition of amazing map implementation, the game felt like additional DLC rather than sequel.
Horrible. Nothing really gets explained, weird combat, shitty progression no hints at all. Art is good though. It's really not worth the time, try something else. The writing isn't fun as well. Frustrating.
3 stars just because of the beautiful art and animations, actual game is pretty boring to be honest, battles are clunky, and the story really doesn't capture me at all. Theres parts of the game where I geniunely was asking where the frick I needed to go so thats a minus aswell, since the game doesn't really give you much to go from
THE GOOD - Amazing pixel art and great animations. - A lot of scenes, poses and all kinds of girls. - Good and enjoyable gameplay, you can fight and defeat your enemies or you can have sex with them in a variety of ways using different itens and spells combinations. - Interesting minigames (one of them plays like Plants vs Zombies but with your montergirls) you can clearly see that a lot of work was put on it. - You get into "action" quick, not much of a grind to get the Eroge. - Good soundtrack that fits very well the scenarios and doesn't get tiresome after listing it for a while. - You have a ring that changes the MC gender at will increasing the variety of sex scenes. THE UGLY - This is the first game that I played from this developer, and I had no idea to this is a sequel from a previous title, I felt lost when it comes to the plot. And despite being well written for what it is, its confusing and not very appealing. THE BAD - SERIOUS GAMEBRAKING ISSUE - related to saving progress. In this game the saving happens automatically all the time, and you cannot change it. Made a mistake or died and what go back? You can't. Had to close the game mid cutscene? You will lose what happened, and worst of all, you will be perma blocked from progressing the game and the whole thing will get glitched. CONCLUSION I highly recommend it, its a very good game, just be careful with your saves, and have fun!
Man, recent reviews are pretty negative. It's not perfect but it is far above whatever passes for "average." You play this game for the same reason you play the previous one: for the animations with monster girls. They're pretty good and you get the added bonus of having a bracelet that swaps you back and forth from male to female. Different animations that are generally creative. The finale of the plot in this game sets everything up for a third game to complete the trilogy. This game does actually foreshadow this properly - with only one twist that you most certainly don't see coming. With that said, neither the previous game nor this game are well written. You're some human who goes to some place in the middle of nowhere because you heard about a place with magic and monster girls. Somehow, you actually get there instead of getting lost, giving up and going home. Immediately, a fairy pops up claiming you are her master. This plot point right here officer! It signifies obvious time travel shenanigans but pretends that it doesn't. Anyway, you get accepted into the school by the headmistress and start climbing up through the ranks by beating up literal dummies. You meet some students, including the cow you see sleeping in the main image on this game - who starts off all haughty and full of herself -> but when you get to the highest rank, she instantly falls in love with you... Yeah... Also, at one point you discover your magic property is lust so you apply that around the school to bang everyone else. That's a tl;dr on game one. The second game starts with the headmistress turning into a succubus, hits you with foreplay and steals all your magic progress. She gets interrupted before you bang, which to be clear: you very much wanted to (it would've killed it). Anyway, get your magic progress back while playing through the game and seeing world building and stuff. Suddenly, for some reason that isn't clear beyond "I'm horny and I wanna bang the succubi" -> the succubi are EVIL. What? Now see some flashbacks that... do NOT prove that! But you did see your own silhouette back there, so uh, yeah hey officer, there's the time travel shenanigan thing again. Anyway, eventually unlock a fancy door and get "betrayed" by the succubi. Now get thrown into the past (not clearly stated but COME ON!) and wait for game three. I didn't even mention the dragon - some love between each other in game 1 but in game 2, your character constantly rolls nat 1s around her. Gameplay is niche and could be better, but it does work. You can just cheat and use the two upgraded items that make monster girls horny for you so you barely have to tap them with a light hit to get the animation. Upgrade some spells to level 10 except for one to easily get the animations. You can take off your uniform to raise the monster girls horny - lowers defense though. So overall, if you like monster girls and pixel art animations, do give this a try. It isn't perfect but it is pretty good.

Whilst the animations and art are good and kinky, all the time and grind spent playing, with the needlessly clunky combat, feels completely wasted with a nonsense cliffhanger ending. the couple of null-choices added in are the extra peeling paint on the coffin. Past characters are mostly relegated to background art, not intractable in any way.
Good art, ok sex scenes, poor/passable gameplay, very clunky UI and controls, forgettable story and characters. I just don't enjoy playing this at all, it's not worth it for some ok-ish sex scenes (with admittedly nice art style). If you can stomach the gameplay and UI, maybe you'll enjoy it, the art is good, but holy shit is everything else a mess.
Animations are 10/10, gameplay is a 3/10. Like the first it's needlessly grindy for the sake of padding out what would otherwise be a 45 minute game , and all your attacks are still annoying QTE inputs. Only this time around there's movement on a grind and stamina, forcing you to dodge attacks. It's better than the first one, but I still went for the 100% save file after 3 dungeons.
This game is average, with some good aspects and some tedious ones. The best part are the animations, which are somewhat difficult to obtain at first but you can do it with time. Grinding and magic items will eventually allow you to be powerfull and obtain the animations in a simpler maner. The problem comes with the horrible controls, movement bugs that haven't been fixed (sometimes, with some bosses, you can get trapped in one tile), and the lack of end game content. I haven't finished it but at one point in the game you are just jumping from one objetive to the other and at this point you already can teleport to all the avaible maps and see all the scenes, you can even complete the gallery with one item. So what's the point in continuing? I kept going for like 3 hours in hopes that I was close to the end and there weren't any new scenes, just a lot of text, a plant vs zombies type mode that you have to complete 3 times and 2 tedious boss battles with multiple phases and, I repeat, NOTHING NEW.
This games porn is great, Wataponno's pretty long and consistent career is proven by this games quality and variety. I'm a big fan of the art style here, and if your just in it to jack off this is a nice addition to your collection. As a game, I am unimpressed but not disappointed. While not the most engaging, this is fixed by the fact I'm not pulling my hair out in frustration and that there is tits.
Well The game its very good, i loved the desings and the cg animations, the gameplay is fun but then, afther a while it becomes so tedius and so Grindi. The first part of the gameplay its fun and i liked the mechanic that my first thought was tht it was an turn based combat it wasn't acerted xd. You can atack and avoid atacks on gameplay. i like that its not like loose to get fuck and it more like a win to fuck. But the steps to g trought the game and ulock the galleries its very tedius. Still Very good game it has a lot of potentiall. Nice wank 8/10 (Very sorry for my bad english in this one)
I forgot to update my review last time, but I couldn't progress the game in the previous build because the bosses couldn't spawn, so I couldn't even give you my opinion on the shitty ant-hag in the other build. All I can say is that the phantom-tile glitch reduced, but it still does pop up every now and then in my playthrough unless I was just spamming move. (might've only been the ones that spawned, i cant remember) I also got my general review format down now so here's the updated review (V1.0.1) Overall though, I'd say its average, not anything special but if you like the art and H-scenes then I'd recommend it. ==Gameplay== Generally I feel lukewarm on how combat works and I am not a fan of how exploration is done in dungeons. Combat takes place on a grid where you control w/ WASD, arrow keys, and/or mouse, though movement is fairly limited as there is a stamina bar and movement takes a sizeable chunk off it. Attacking, healing, and buffing is done through casting spells which are bound to Q and E with differnet mechanics, with Q requiring a pattern to cast spells as stamina depletes, while E requires mana from your mana gauge, and whereas the effects of Q spells is dependent on the accurancy and profeciency of the input, E is dependent on how much mana is available. I don't necessarily have any qualms with how it works, its just not quite captivating but its not terrible either if a bit janky, I personally just upgraded the shield spell once and invested everything into the basic rock spell and I generally breezed through everything save for several enemies resistent to phys damage. (I should also mention that the phantom-tile glitch has not gone away, I had to fight the ant-hags, 2 hags btw and I did have 1 row locked off, but I was able to still win. It wasn't a big deal this time since I just spammed shield and stone since its lvl 5 despite them being resistent to phys damage. I still think its bullshit to fight a boss with an column aoe attack in such a cramped layout, especially 2 of them at the same time that spawn ant girls) Exploring dungeons is done by moving your icon through a RNG maze while trying to avoid/touch skulls while collecting essence and blooms, which isn't much aside form the fact you can only see a small area around you and everything else is in darkness. I don't necessarily understand why everything shrouded in darkness when its this barebones and I would rather see where everything is and where I am going instead of bumbling around in the dark. Aside from that, the hub is essentially a Point-and-Click setting with not much material to make it worth going back to aside from the main story, the gallery, and changing items. After a certain point too, you will be able to gain access to a forge which will let you spellbind items for an additional effect with 5 blooms or convert blooms into essence, which can be used to unlock/upgrade spells or unlock scenes at a gallery (which imo is a bit too expensive at 100). You can also find and unlock challenges in the dungeons to make the game more difficult if you wish, and there are achievements too though you don't exactly get anything out of doing them. I should also mention that there is an area you can enter from the academy that has a vampire surivors mini-game, and while it doesn't have much to offer to keep relevent after a couple of tries, its a good place to farm blooms if you want. ==Presentation== While I think the dungeons are all rather generic in spite of the darkness hiding it all, I find the characters and aesthetic nice and the music is serviciable so its better than none. SFX are servicable but are generally limited to attacks afaik, and the voice acting does eeem to be decent during sex scenes. As for the story, I honestly haven't been paying attention most of the time its just AFAIK a succubus reset your progress from the previous game (haven't played it yet) and now you're triyng to open a door. I don't know why but I haven't been paying attention since story and porn don't exactly mix well. From what I can terribly recollect, you were tricked by a succubus who sends you right back to square one from the previous game and, from there, you basically bumble around until you get to the main quest w/ the gate. Spoiler: Story spoilers The main quest for you is to open a gate which holds the black fire, which is basically the devil's power source, while you are guided by the disembodied voice of 1 of the 3 goddesses who sealed it away. After getting into a scuffle and trying to talk it out with your ice dragon ex after you killed the moon goddess, she catches on fire and is either severely injured or dead where it was revealed that one of your companions was using you since the beginning. Shortly after you were powerless to stop them, you unlocked the gate in an attempt to gain the power of the black flame, though it was quickly revealed that the fire was the intention behind the succubus' plan as she appears shortly after, though from there you are teleported to another area or dimension where the 3rd game, DLC, or future updates will pick up from. ==H-Factor== C+ or B- rating The animation and sprites all look nice, though I generally think the female and I personally would've preferred it if the scenes were a bit rougher though that just comes down to subjective taste. The pixel art aesthtetic is decent though I would've preferred to have regular drawn art, though it doesn't spoil the lewdness as Scarlet Maiden did personally. Its decent overall, but doesn't exactly get me excited or anything. ==Suggestions and Improvements== I always assume v1 is release version, but here are some things I think would make the game better for future reference; - Have the 2 different genders have a bit more impact beyond aesthetics, like maybe having male doing more damage and stamina but slower regen rates, while female form is has more mana and higher regen rates but less damage. - Have moving require less stamina or at least have a way to improve it beyond items, I'd rather not sacrifice an item slot so that I don't have to take a break every 3 tiles. - Just let the player see the layout of the dungeon, it doesn't feel great bumbling around in the dark and I believe that there are other ways to make exploration exciting, such as secrets or finding routes to new areas like metroidvanias usually do. - Differentiate each area by having a unique mechanic attached to them and play around with them. It does not need to be complex, it could just simply be trees in the jungle which can drop fruit for healing or behives, or avalanches to wipe out swarms of enemies in the snow area. ==Conclusion/TLDR== Its not a bad game, but I don't exactly think its good either, nor do I find myself enjoying it (nor hating it) with it. Its generally average, possibly below average after a while, there isn't much to drive you apart from some decent looking H-scenes. There are better games out there, like One Step from Eden or Megaman Battle network, but unless you do like the art and lewd scenes or this genre of game, then I'd recommend playing another game or H-game instead to satisfy that itch.
Play the prequel . It's strictly superior and is one of the best NSFW games overall. If you've already completed it and want more... v 0.8.2 The game is not complete trash like it was a year ago. We can now buff spells and inventory, and the bug boss is finally defeatable (instead we've got the moon boss, but more on her later). But I have two very clear reasons to deduct two stars. The first disaster is controls. The prequel was keyboard- (more like console-) only, with 6-8 buttons doing everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Picking an enemy, infusing a classmate, jumping in dungeons, playing lesson minigames, picking Fae's form and so on. Here half of controls is on mouse and the other on keyboard, and both are fucked up. The mouse controls are counterintuitive. You may accidentally close the game when closing the grimoire. You struggle to navigate around school, because it's split into two identical-looking halves, even the same garden is two different locations now. (And, of course, half of the rooms from the prequel were relocated just because.) The travel spells and combat spells share the same "Spells" tab, and you always have to turn the page. You've got several inventories, I can't even count them (up to five?), each of them having a separate job. The endless wait for the room objects to shine is the least annoying piece of this mouse control. And even the good old keyboard controls have degraded. In combat, we're now a melee mage. A melee. Mage. Who can't look upwards or downwards, who needs to rest after taking every step (severe cardio problems), who still relies on the gamey barrier from prequel and endlessly mashes it at the moon bossfight. The icing on the cake is the lack of tutorial, so stuff like several inventories or finding the jungle dungeon you're supposed to figure out all by yourself. The second disaster is dungeon navigation + arcana grind + moon bossfight combo. In prequel, if you couldn't beat enemies, you roamed previous level several times (or played training minigames). The previous level was always the best place to grind arcana and stat increases. With time, navigation was getting better as your field of sight slowly enlarged, while shift-jumping allowed you to skip battles. Here, if you want to grind arcana, you roam the starter level. It has no walls, few enemies and lots of boobs, which give the same 10 arcana on any level. One run can net you 50-100 arcana, while one lategame spell upgrade can easily cost 400 arcana. You could also farm arcana with sex, but there's no option to increase sex speed (or I haven't found it). Although sex is the best way to farm ovaries plants (which buff items). So you don't grind, walk through the whole game and then meet the moon boss. Who crushes your shield like a beer can (with no way to train max shield size, although it was possible in prequel). So you mash shield spell, evade her attacks, and then she just starts carpet-bombing you. You renew shield, heal and cure bleed (that's three different spells with sizeable schemes), while she sends a 3x3 nuke every three seconds. Okay, that's a nice boss (I wonder if the final boss can be any tougher). You need better spells, so you go grinding... and get stuck in the worst grind in videogame history. In the middle of which, it's hard to skip dozens of pointless battles, which was easy in prequel. In general, the game could be quite good. But, for now, it's unpolished as hell (and that's better than it was a year ago). P.S. The best spell is the second last one, "Shadow Claw". Out of 16 spells, you only need two: this one and the shield one. Don't waste arcana on anything else.
a roguelite you can appreciate one-handed. MMA's presentation is through the roof. the animation is phenomenal, the art is the exact kind of pixel art that gets me (read: well-shaded), and the music is absolutely stellar -- though i can't say i would've chosen a drum n' bass-slash-industrial metal mashup to dungeon-crawl to, given the setting. still, it's far better than most h-games can brag about, rhythm games included. under MMA's bra are are a few needling flaws, though. the battle system is interesting but easy to cheese -- the shield spell in particular is absurdly good -- and the voice acting is just okay, though i do like how much fun the actors seem to be having. i'd prefer if there were options in the menu to turn that off, or, barring that, it'd be nice if the options menu existed. the only thing MMA needs besides that is better signposting. if i'm stuck carrying this heavy-ass grimoire around with me, at least let me write down a quest log in it.
This came as a surprise, really loving this game here. There should be more developers playing around with this kind of high-detail pixelated art-style for animations. Personally also found the overall experience enjoyable, there's nothing that stood as annoying and that's kinda rare nowadays. Wish there was a way to zoom in battle during scenes. Support the developer if you can.
[0.5 Review] Game felt pretty easy. I played the initial game, Magical Waifus Academy. While the first game had great art but was a poor gameplay experience, this game has a much better gameplay experience and gameplay loop. The controls still feel a bit bad. I would like better inputs but the game itself is pretty light and the animations/art is amazing. A lot of scenes. The game is pretty intuitive on next steps for the most part. It could have better font choices. There is a bug regarding the Wyvern/graveyard content where the Wyvern doesn't appear at all. There's also an issue with the Jungle area not being intuitive to navigate or some mobs do not spawn. So you'll miss some scenes without cheats.
