v1.0.0
I had fun whit this one It is simple and some what easy, only fallen angel needed more then one try to beat.. The story is so funny some times I had to re-check that I still playing a +18 game. And honestly the entrance of the Hell Lord is a very awesome picture
If it's affiliated with Alicesoft, you know the art is going to be top notch! Their art and UI is always a 5/5, but sometimes the gameplay is sub-par since Alicesoft isn't really involved. However, this gameplay isn't half bad. The talking is a bit annoying since they don't really have too many sprites, but you can just hold down skip until you get to the next CG. It's rather short if you have any amount of gaming ability, but is worth it if you like some top tier Alicesoft art!
An overall okay game with some basic gameplay loop (literally running around in circle). Overall production value is incredible for a game such as this and yet two main elements of this game are really bad: gameplay and writing. The music, visuals and animations are what save this game from a 2 star rating. The story is mediocre and best skipped as the main character is a reddit-tier 'le edgelord macho demon lord'-Mary-Sue you could expect from a teenage boy's power fantasy.
[v1.0.0] It's ass. A low polish, low choice, poor information / "tutorial" and with very polarizing humor that might require putting up with. Text speed inconsistencies; Text overflows; Menu issues (including save & load); Pressing next when text is still appearing skips, rather than fast forward text animation; Picking up drops replaces items even when slots are available; Gameplay boiled down to spam space, sometimes choose to heal, watch basic attack based automatic combat. Low gameplay game with low overall quality experience. Not even worth trying.
Review for v1.0.0 The tl:dr before we get into any depth is this game is firmly mid. It has the trapping of an h-game that works as a game but it neither does the game nor h-content very well. Now onto the in depth stuff: Music/Audio For the music, I quite like it and I'd say it's the strongest point other than the art style itself. It's catchy and doesn't overstay the welcome. The audio however is mixed, both Yuyo and Juliet's voices are super crunchy in sound which is off putting as the other voiced characters do not have that problem. Either the VA needed a better microphone or it was compressed poorly. Either way it makes the scenes they're in a bit harder to tolerate. Artstyle/H-content The art is genuinely quite good and the pixel animations are relatively clean which makes it a real shame that the few h bits there are make less of an impact. H content is divided into animated pixel art and mostly static cgs (barring exactly 3 exceptions towards the end game). Pixel animations are on a loop and are non-interactive and the cgs are your basic shift between expressions until climax. It's all fairly vanilla stuff and there's little of it to boot with only a few scenes, including only one major one involving the female lead. Overall it's not much to take in but what's there is decent enough. Gameplay And this is where things go firmly downhill. This is an autobattler to begin, you don't choose any options in combat and it does the job for you. Difficult to mess up and yet somehow it manages to do so several times. First and foremost is the meta, you get money and purchase def. That's it. You put your stats into a little lifesteal and mostly the hell bills and you keep looping the shop until you get either battle hardened def or enough def surges to push you over 40+ for most stages or 90+ for the final stages for complete invulnerability. Congrats for winning the game. Secondly is the means of character selection, there is one clear winner and that is Flow, any other character is not even worth considering as she has the most powerful ability of randomly rolling into def +2 at full upgrade. Speaking of upgrades you max out Flow's dice, max out abilities then give yourself about 60 base atk then laugh in max hp all the way to the end as you get access to blood shops which take up to 400 hp in exchange for bonkers returns. Yuyo is somehow worse than detrimental outside of one specific battle which doesn't even play like a battle, more on that disaster later, as they have a 1/6 chance of just halving your current health, which early on is the difference between affording a blood shop or not. Juliet is just average, if you want to use skills a lot go ahead but they don't impact a lot after the levelling is done to reduce their cooldown. Third is the loop, you run in circles rolling dice, and the optimal way to play is to drag out the experience as long as possible, fix dice rolls to land on shop and lust tiles, teleport back to the start of the lap whenever possible and only consider how long you're spending when you realise that circle running and auto battling could remove you from the equation entirely and still get the job done. Fourth is a complaint about the final battles, because it breaks the shop for some reason in the last 2 stages. That and the one prior is basically luck based bullshit landing on trap panels which shave off 20% of your max hp value in damage every time you fail a 50% roll which is not adjustable. Basically that fight turns against the core upgrading pathway the game is built on and makes that area tedious to clear outside of getting very lucky. It is also the only interaction where Yuyo has any merit, as with few battles and a chance to detonate almost every move it makes potion stacking actually useful for a change, and the 1/2 current hp penalty means little when you've already exploded 80% of your health away. Otherwise the best I can say about the gameplay is that it's functional if simplistic but I think it lacks a good deal of interaction or any kind of interesting mechanics. It's like an interim checklist before your next h-scene instead of a game. All in all if it had spent more time cooking it might've been interesting, but otherwise it fails to escape being firmly average.
Review as of version 1.0.0 Graphics 5/5 They kept up the great artwork that I was already praising when I reviewed the demo. There are even 3 animated scenes towards the end now! Audio 5/5 They did what I was hoping they would do. There's voice acting now! Well, at least in the H-scenes. Unfortunately, it seems like some samples are lower quality but nothing that would ruin the game. Game mechanics 4/5 I'm gonna be honest with you. The gameplay isn't this game's strength. It isn't challenging at all and there's rarely something new introduced. It was fine for a demo but for a full game it's a bit thin. Though personally, I didn't really mind it, as I was there for the story and art anyways, not the gameplay. It was a nice break from the story where you can just sit back and watch monsters getting destroyed, so that's nice. Writing 5/5 Honestly, I loved the story and writing. It doesn't get boring or anything and has the right amount of horniness and even a bit of wholesomeness. Sex Scenes 5/5 Can't say anything against them, see my demo review. A plus in the final release is the fact that there is voice acting now and there are scenes towards the end that are animated. Conclusion I've seen some other reviews here rating the game way lower. I think it's a matter of personal preference but I can only recommend playing the game yourself to get an idea. There are some rough edges here and there but it's still a good if not great game. Review as of version 0.0.1 Demo Graphics 5/5 The art style of the cut scenes is very pleasant to look at and looks really high quality. The same goes for the pixel art that is being used in the actual gameplay. I'm not sure if they intend to add this in the future, but animations would definitely be a nice-to-have. Though I could imagine that maintaining art like this throughout the game is already hard work as is. Audio 4/5 The soundtrack is very high quality, though I could imagine it getting annoying if it were to be used for more than a demo. I did also hear some audio overload in one minor cut scene, but I imagine this will be patched for the final release. There are also some sound effects during cut scenes; however, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any voice acting or any kind of sound from the characters. Game Mechanics 5/5 The game offers unique gameplay, which is both pretty intuitive and fun. I could imagine it getting boring if there won't be any new ideas involved in the final release, but of course I can't judge that for now. Writing 5/5 Honestly a pretty well-written game, though there seem to be some minor typos and grammatical errors throughout the game. It hasn't gotten to a point where it's a problem, though. The story itself appears to be promising and didn't get boring for now. Sex Scenes 4/5 The sex scenes are pretty good. There aren't many in this demo; however, the ones we have are all unique. The only complaint I have, like I've already mentioned before, is the lack of animation and sound from the characters. Conclusion I think the game is definitely worth playing and does have a lot of potential. I hope to see more of this game in the future, especially because this game doesn't seem to be severely lacking anything like a lot of other porn games do. The hardest task for the devs now is just to keep this quality consistent.
