About Medieval Life

Medieval Life is an adult life-sim sandbox set in a medieval world, created by Bromedy in HTML. You play a female protagonist arriving in Ambercross with little more than the clothes you wear, then work, explore, build skills, and meet residents while choosing the life you want. It uses AI-generated CG and a text-based adventure style, with romance and dating sim themes.

The current build is v0.2, released October 11, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac, in English, uncensored. This update makes Briar Hollow explorable, adding residents, homes, forest locations, and links to Ambercross. It expands Ambercross activities at the docks, forge, chapel, and town hall, reworks farmwork, and introduces dock, tavern serving and cooking, forge, and chapel jobs, each with ways to gain employment and leveled assignments. Work shifts include varied incidents and choices affected by skills, traits, experience, items, and NPC relationships; skill gains were balanced, travel can be interrupted by repeatable multi-step events, and NPC homes include exteriors and doorstep conversation.

Changelog

v0.2 Briar Hollow is now explorable, with its own residents, homes, and connections to Ambercross. The forest also has added locations. Expanded activities around Ambercross, including the docks, forge, chapel, and town hall. Reworked farmwork and added dockwork, tavern serving, tavern cooking, forge work, and chapel work. Each job has a way to earn employment and several levels of assignments. Work shifts now include more varied incidents, choices, follow-ups, and good or bad outcomes. Skills, traits, work experience, items, and NPC relationships can change how you handle them. Balanced skill gains across jobs. Added repeatable multi-step location events that interrupt travel and ask you to deal with a situation before moving on. Added NPC homes with house exteriors, doorstep conversations, visits, household work offers, and window events. Responses depend on your relationship with the resident and who else is at home. NPC activities now have more choices and different dialogue and outcomes for friendly outings, dates, and established relationships. Partners and household circumstances can affect what happens. Added walking NPC at their home and staying overnight, including tavern rooms for people who work away from their home village. Reworked chat, flirt, social questions, and personal questions so NPCs give more specific answers and your replies have clearer consequences. Added relationship milestones with conversations and decisions instead of only status buttons. NPCs can initiate some steps, reject advances, or reconsider an existing partnership. Added more ways for relationships to become strained or hostile, along with confrontations about rumors and cheating. Balanced personality trait progression to reflect your overall tendencies quicker. It required nearly perfect consistency in the first version which wasn't intended. Added NPC face portraits and gender-matched dialogue colors across events, work scenes, conversations, and home interactions. Added personal trading and expanded shop stock. NPCs carry possessions, earn and spend money, and only buy what they can afford after keeping money for their own needs. Added haggling to trading. Depending on item price, different options will be available. Added weekly taxes for homeowners and resident travelers, with a journal quest, shared household payments, debt notices, and consequences for falling behind. Reworked clothing with new outfits, better bonuses and tags, different ways to obtain them, and comfort limits based on carnality. Added a literacy quest, lessons, books to study, and rewards for reading. The tavern room can now be rented for several days at once. Added hunger and thirst, with some events related to it and many ways to manage it Street sleeping has actual events instead of a short passage mention. Expanded sexual encounters with more dialogue and media variations, clearer offers, more attention to first times, and better transitions when an act is refused or the encounter is stopped. Added post-encounter cleanup choices. Actions during sexual encounters no longer consume energy. Added option to masturbate when arousal is high with scenes and media. Reworked begging events around identifiable NPCs and added more scenes to early employment quests. Added journal links to NPC details and a Help menu with separate topics for the game's main systems. v0.1 Ambercross is explorable, with many locations. Character creation with different origins and starting bonuses. Only one character available for now. Added the journal, including character details, traits, relationships, known people, sexual history, clothing, and work skills. 40 initial generated NPCs with names, appearances, schedules, attraction, arousal, rumors, gossip, and relationship tracking. Map menu in the sidebar to fast travel between locations if you have already visited the locations using travel links. Inventory menu in order to use consummables and keep track of other static items. Only food/drinks available to buy and use for now. Plans menu to keep track of your scheduled activities with NPCs and loans. Cheats menu that will be available to subscribers in future versions. Nearby menu that informs you how many interactable NPCs are on the location and allows you to begin an interaction with them. Attraction system for NPCs with three major components. It is based on the physical characteristics of your chosen character, personality traits you slowly acquire while responding to questions in the same way consistently and current outfit tags. Each NPC has different preferences and having higher attraction lets you build relationship faster. NPCs can approach you in some situations instead of waiting for you to start everything. Added NPC loans, late payments, negotiation, and alternate compensation options. Repeatable begging events in the village square. Just a few for now. Risky street sleeping for when you do not have a proper bed. Tavern shop, room rental, innkeeper talk and occasional gossip event, and a market clothing stall. Added outfits, outfit bonuses, wardrobe changing, outfit previews, and outfit-based attraction. Added washing up and body status text after sexual encounters. Added the farmer's trial before most origins can work and sleep in the barn. Farm work events, skill gains, wages, and occasional NPC interruptions while working. Added the first version of the sexual encounter system, with arousal, NPC initiative, and media support. Carnality system that measures your envy for sexual acts. The higher it is, the more open you are to sexual encounters with npcs who are not in a relationship with you.
