About Melting Point
Melting Point is a Ren'Py adult visual novel by kiba.exe, presented with animated 2D AI-generated art. The story follows a lone wolf after solar flares, broken satellites, and extreme weather leave much of the world as a dusty, ruined wasteland. You cross the desert to Varden, a walled city of mechanics, guards, thieves, drifters, and survivors trying to rebuild ordinary life. The setting is a furry sandbox where the player investigates a storm that should not have happened, and he may have seen what preceded it.
The current build is version 0.1, released October 9, 2026, and marks the initial release. It is an early version, not a finished final build. The game runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, with English text and no censorship. The latest changelog entry only lists the initial release, so the available update provides the opening story and sandbox framework without further content notes beyond the first public version.

The world didn't end in a single day. First came the solar flares. Then the failing satellites, collapsing communication networks, and storms no forecast could predict. Spoiler Years later, most of the world has become an endless wasteland of dust, heat, and abandoned ruins. Small settlements survive behind walls, while travelers cross the desert knowing, that the next solar flare or hurricane could erase them without warning. You play as a lone wolf who has lost his home to one of those impossible storms. With nowhere left to return to, he crosses the wasteland and eventually reaches Varden — a fortified city filled with survivors, mechanics, guards, thieves, drifters, and people trying to build something resembling a normal life. But something is changing outside the walls. The storm that destroyed your home wasn't supposed to happen. And you may be one of the few people who saw what came before it.
