Metamorphosis: A Descent into Darkness is an adult text adventure by jalba, built in HTML. You play John Steele, a mid-thirties businessman who wakes as Jane after a forced transformation tied to sinister experiments by the secret organization Elysium Corp. The game uses animated visuals and real porn, and its adult themes include transformation and humiliation.
The current build is v0.3.0, released June 5, 2023, with changelog notes dated June 18, 2023, and development remains ongoing, with another minor update expected in the last week of June. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, with no censorship. This version delivers the scope originally planned for 0.2.0, including a clothing closet that does not yet affect events, a sightseeing tour with Felix, two small story sections for recent online testers, and more information about the reasons behind the change.

In this update you can discover the open world. Meet new people and learn more about John Steele's past. Can you find his true identity with the help of Evelyn?

Random encounters in the city. (Each encounter tells a small story, more interactions are planned for the future).
You now see when a decision is relevant to the story even if you don't realize it at the time. So choose your options wisely!

The rape event is now avoidable if you select the "Resist" option.
