I really like this one, though the ESL-isms are sometimes rather jarring. It would benefit from a polishing pass on English dialogue. The graphics can be pretty immersion-breaking at times, mostly with clipping issues. Overall though, story is a solid concept.

I'm sorry, but I wanted to like this game- I really did. But while the game is fairly unique at its foundation and separates itself quite impressively from the run of the mill harem Renpy games out there, it unfortunately suffers badly from what I can only describe as an "identity disorder". The game just struggles to figure out if it's going to depict a brooding story about an emotionless no-nonsense guy who is on a mission or an anime style lighthearted romantic story about a dude who finally finds the meaning of an emotional bond. It just flip flops erratically. You start off in a fairly interesting settings. A loner student fresh out of university and heading to his first job. He prefers social isolation for reasons that are a mystery but the game constantly nudges you to engage with the people around still. If you don't, you come off looking like an asshole. If you do, the MC acts dysfunctional and the whole conversation feels unnatural. Ultimately down the line, the game reveals that he must socialize and "fit in" to achieve his goals. But again further such attempts come off unnatural. In-fact, he is a bag of contradictions- completely cold sometimes and then a blabber mouth other times. The game also makes no meaningful distinction about interaction with girls as most choices are about being on their route or not. There is no personality evolution of the MC where he just develops a friendship first. Even the choices in the games are weird. If you choose not to talk advantage of a girl, the game locks you out of some important choices on another girl's path. Plus the game clearly was most likely reworked somewhere along the way as the it fails to properly track your choices sometimes. For example, if you stop a drunken Yui from having sex with you, the game forgets it down the line and just implies that you did. Immersion breaking as it feels that the dev presumed canonically that players will have sex with her for sure and will be on a harem path only. No idea why the choice here then. I generally play games for the story first and this one clearly felt promising, but after seeing it constantly dropping the ball a lot, I ultimately stopped midway. A shame, because if the author didn't ramble on with unneeded banter, this one could have had been a much better read.

Excellent game, very captivating characters, it's a shame it ends without showing any of the girls pregnant or with children. Aside from that, my favorite character is Krystal, followed closely by Angela.

Well, first of all, I quite liked the story because it was presented very neatly extremely well-structured and fairly detailed in wrapping up the plot. I really respect that. What’s lacking here is clearly the characters. There are many characters, but some of them weren’t explored deeply, like Rin, Sally (she wasn’t even shown with her parents at the ending even though the MC said he promised to visit), Eira, maybe Elaine and Wendy as well. And Zeke too , since he kept helping until the end, why wasn’t his past explained at all…? As for the best girl, it’s clearly Krystal and Yui, because they’re the only two who were developed properly from the beginning all the way to a really great ending. In terms of character design, my favorites are definitely Krystal, Yui, and Eira (but sadly she wasn’t explored more deeply otherwise, she could’ve been a best girl too in my opinion).and maybe faye?? i dont know By the way, thank you to the developer for making this game. It’s really good and I enjoyed it. The title fits the MC’s personality perfectly honestly, I didn’t expect that. This is the first time I’ve played a game where the title matches the MC’s personality so well.

Well it's very good, the story is great i like it since it HAS some action in it. The character design is good i like it, unlike some of the games i played where it's too much or simply generic looking ones, here on the other hand looks good animeish. What i don't like about the game is the photo collecting when you at the free roam some of them are hard to find and that i need to look closely at my screen well enough about that.

The game is quite good. The story isn't very exciting, but it's well-made, concrete, and only simplified in places. However, I have to deduct points for one specific problem. I'm referring to the plot structure. At first, it's a slice-of-life story with elements of conspiracy and espionage. Then, at a certain point, it becomes a thriller. There is a noticeable imbalance in emphasis. At the beginning, the main character (MC) was involved with, or "collecting," girls. Then, they were present but didn't play a significant role. Only at the end does the MC choose who he wants to be with. This seems unnatural and forced. Because of this, I didn't check out the other endings; I just chose the one I wanted, albeit without much pleasure.

If at the beginning you are thinking "what the hell is wrong with this MC?", it gets better (somewhat). The game is neither good nor bad. Some of the LIs are quite nice, though it is the same story with every single one. She has some huge problem (insecurities, way over the top stalkers/mobbers ..), the MC fixes it and they f*uck, that's it. Also not one sex scene was "spicy" or could be called well done. Animations are not smooth and feel kinda weird.

My Real Desire [Full Release] - No Spoilers I'm feeling generous and rounding up a 3.5 to a 4. The first half of the novel was fairly gripping and the vast cast of characters were almost always fun to interact with. This game seriously has some of the best waifus, although the sex scenes and build-ups to many of them were subpar. Unfortunately, the writing switches around halfway through after a major development with the MC. Instead of getting to know the girls at the same, rewarding pace as before, you are now embroiled in his personal problems--which feel like a mash-up of a generic action movie and a decent detective story. There are too many girls for all of their relationships to be written seriously. Each have their own problems to resolve - and those are fun to read about - but again, most of those events take place in the first half. Their interactions with the MC rarely felt meaningful once the author decided that it was time to push towards the conclusion of his story. If you want to enjoy a slice-of-life harem with a colourful cast of women and enjoy a bit of mystery and drama in your VNs, then give this a chance. It will tire you out with dozens of repetitive, mimetic scenes (bathing, dinner, going to bed, etc.), and the story will suffer in quality when it tries to deliver a serious action plot, but I still very much enjoyed my time with it.

the characters and love interests in the game were written pretty well. game had grammar errors throughout the story but nothing to the point where something didn't get across. overall love interests had a fairly balanced amount of scenes for each one. the ending felt a bit rushed but overall plot was very good. even with some of the minor faults previously mentioned this has been an enjoyable read and one of the best completed AVNs i have played recently.

Score: 5.6/10 The game has some major flaws: Poor English writing leading to monotonous dialogue. Even though English isn't my native language, I could still notice some very awkward lines that are hard to tolerate. Repetitive daily storylines. The story isn't completely worthless. The game does include some well-designed moments (for example, the lead-up to H-Scene 13, the "going home with Yui" scene in Ch2Ep2, and the "shopping with Krystal" scene in Ch2Ep2). But most of the daily story content feels dull and uninspired. Repetitive sex scenes. Almost the same positions and dirty talk every time, with only the backgrounds and characters swapped out. Rough model details. I know this is common for games made with the HS engine, but it still looks unpolished. Spoiler: About the lead-up to H-Scene 13 If you reject Elaine's first two advances (Ch1Ep2 at the beach and Ch1Ep3 in the MC's bedroom), she will threaten you if you turn her down a third time (Ch1Ep3 in the bathroom), triggering H-Scene 13. I'd appreciate it if more storylines were as engaging as the lead-up to H-Scene 13, but unfortunately they aren't. Spoiler: As for BGM Although some people feel the music doesn't match the scenes, as a non-native like me, the BGM sounds quite good——if I don't deliberately listen closely, the lyrics just turn out to be meaningless moans. Overall, even though the game has a few highlights, I still don't think it's worth playing. Spoiler: More details for Chinese player / 详细评价 详细评价

Pretty meh. Pros: Every H scene is animated. Pretty good. The art style is fine Experiment-able mechanics. You have to check the in game phone messages to progress which I haven't seen done before. Not game changing, but it's different Game is complete, even though I think it ends bad, it's at least finished Cons: Translation/dialogue is terrible. An emotionless MC that hardly expresses themselves. LI's that feel as blank as possible. The beginning is fine, by the end it becomes so rushed and half baked. The LI's don't have equal amount of scenes...one of them has only 1 scene. One of them has 2, and a couple have 3.... Ending is terrible and rushed. Now, I think that the MC shouldn't have been forced to confront or obey Victor because of the police. I would have much preferred them to realize that they care for these people not because it's his mission, but because they're his friend

It's painfully the most whatever story I've read in recent memory. The story is straightforward (almost). The MC is some sort of secret assassin/corporate spy due to his familial circumstances. He meets a bunch of people who he eventually cares about. On the surface, this is a really cute story about someone cold/stoic finding his humanity through the people around him caring for him and becoming more important to him. Underneath, it's actually a psychopath simulator where the MC is actually just a wet stick that doesn't really develop enough for me to care. There's alot of intrigue regarding his past and how he's connected to the others he's with now, but for the most part they don't really do much with it other than one or two girls. The characters are pretty bland and can be summarized with one or two traits. Some of them don't get the appropriate screentime necessary to flesh out their personalities. Others feel like they just love you because you exist, which is boring imo. The designs are unique though and are varied enough for anyone to enjoy. The visuals are not amazing. They're pretty dated, and I at first gave the game the benefit of the doubt, hoping that they would eventually get better to the level of the visuals in the game banner. That never happens really. So don't go in expecting anything amazing. Not much to note about the sound design or anything. If anything, it's pretty bad. The audio mixing is just not good for the music and scenes. Sex scenes are just average. They're not going to amaze you, I found some of them relatively cute though. They're not awful by any mean, just decent. Overall, it's 3/5. My main issue is that the MC doesn't really go anywhere storywise. I expected him to be more emotive and open near the end, but he never really changes. He's so emotionally muted that it's borderline impressive. Listen, I hate cringe MCs that never shut up, but I'm not a fan of MCs that barely ever express themselves either.

It's a good experience to me cause my mindset kinda simple. Character developments are great as we interact with many girls and some of them has problems with their family or friends or just social and some doesn't have any problems ( kinda real cause everyone life unique their owns ). The gameplay is easy but i wanna interact more like when playin Xecon gear with Sally and fight goblin that's all ^_^ To me the mc outfit at Rowan first party kinda weird and some characters info on phone still ??? after i play somehow. Aside from that still thanks to dev for making a great story game.

I'll be honest: i've waited four years, before to play this VN. And after all those years of waiting, i'm glad to say: i wasm't disappointed. The story is good, the characters well written, the MC was well designed as well. The scenes were quite nice, all of them, and the chance of the two paths (redemption/evil), kinda intriguing. My only complaint: the ending harem. I was expecting, like for the single ones of the girls, an ending with some background scenes, where the MC, time by time, helped them pursuing their dreams/achievements(even a single scene would've been enough, imho), and, in the end, concluding the ending with a pregnant group scene, but, even with this little missing details, the ending was quite good enough. For anything else, the game was worthy of the 5 stars. Hype for the next author's project.

Overall I'd rate it good. A finished decently long game, above average writing and plenty of cute girls if you're into honey select models. Gameplay is as simple as it can get and leaves a bit to be desired, talk to girls by selecting one of two dialogue choices which almost always sum up to flirt with or reject them. As far as I'm aware only two possible routes with the good one having a small ending scene where you get to choose the girl you end up with(including the choice of an orgy harem scene), and the other of which is basically a game over after clicking and is super lackluster in comparison including one unique scene from the only love insterest that you can't choose in the good ending, definitely wish it was more expanded upon. Sometimes you rarely collect shiny pictures off the ground in a small free roam ish areas, I unfortunately played on a modified version that had all the photos automatically unlocked so I missed out on that experience. Story is kind of generic, very anime-ish in tone, logic and direction, but has some heart and charm to it that may make you cringe or laugh with from the absurdity. Enjoyed that the developer put in effort to differentiate all the love interests by giving them different traits and personal stories which made them all pretty likeable. Dialogue can be a bit hit or miss, very common cheesy references that feel too dated, and as a drinking game you can take a shot every time any girl says *giggles* when talking to the mc(you might die) Sex scenes are ok, nothing to really criticize over aside from one or two scenes being too dark to see anything happening and the tomato colored cheeks as the women blush can be too distracting/odd and took me out of it at times. But nevertheless good, not completely to my tastes as it lacks some variety/spice, also some love interests excluding the ending got only 1 scene which was dissappinting even though they took a lot of setup and is probably my biggest gripe with it, definitely couldve fit in a couple more scenes because near the end the timeskips are kind of ridiculous

Recommended One One of the Best It was near to 5 but got 4.1 due to 2 problems 1st - Harem Route didn't add Mila despite not involving herself in her Grandfather Victor's Schemes. 2nd - Betrayal Route or Victor's Route was short. Not big enough like Payback Route or Good Route. Apart from these, game is really good.

tl;dr: 4/5 or maybe 4.5/5, depending on your tastes. It's worth it for the story and character stories. Story It's not a brilliant story, but for the setting, context, and structure, I can't really fault it too much. The plotholes are pretty obvious once you see them, but it's the kind of story where it doesn't matter. It starts off being told exclusively from the perspective of the main character, but slowly shifts to being told by refracting the world (and state of affairs) through those around you. The individual character stories range from 'eh' to being quite interesting. It's not a masterpiece, and the cast is too broad to really get much focus on more than one love interest, but there's enough there to sink your teeth into, and for the length/depth of the game/story, it's fairly well done. The game is well worth playing for the story, but you need to really hold out a while at the start, because it's a really bumpy opening. Structure The structure is a fairly significant mess, but this was clearly a learning experience, so I'm writing this out to help those struggling to get through it, or those wondering. The story (and character stories) make this worth playing, this is more a warning. The game is divided into three 'chapters' (I believe they are all four parts each), plus an epilogue (which is one part in length). The epilogue is required to complete any story (other than a 'bad' ending), so it's not really an epilogue (this is a minor gripe, but it helps to know that you'll be playing that part if you want closure). The division of the three main 'chapters' is odd. The first chapter opens very slowly, and its pace gets to a decent place right towards the end. The second chapter is overloaded with lewd scenes/activity (you can opt out but it limits interactions). The third chapter is way too fast, feels incredibly rushed, and I was seriously considering marking the game down to 3/5 over it. The epilogue is probably the best paced part of the game, but it's one part, you know it's the end, so it's hard to credit it too much. Graphics and Lewd Scenes I won't give a score for this, because I never do. But the graphics are sufficient, do improve over time (as with most games), and the lewd scene count goes from an appropriate amount (as you find your way through living with people) to an utterly insane amount (chapter 2) before dropping back to being excess to the needs of the story (to the point where it could possibly derail your attention at times). Overall It loses the star because of pacing, writing, and an increasing number of typos/grammar issues, which make it increasingly frustrating in arbitrary patches. Considering its age, the graphics are good enough to not need marking down, the soundtrack/setup is fine, and the story is more than good enough to make it compelling. I'm rounding down from 4.5 to 4 mostly because of the structure/writing issues. The grammar is generally tolerable, but when the writing and pacing it get bad, and the conversations start to sound like it's the same person talking with a different name being shown, it really hurts the experience. Each of those issues is easy to ignore/forgive in isolation, but there are a pockets where it gets so bad that it's a serious problem.

Really enjoyed the game, first half was really well done, the only issue i have is the 2nd half of the game felt very rushed. The ending was very anti climatic. Otherwise pretty good story and decent renders just wish the last bit of the game didn't feel rushed, compared to the first half the pacing felt very wrong. Still worth a playthrough. Looking forward to the devs next project.

I wanted to like this. I was enjoying the initial premise and I think the gradual emotional progression of the main character could have been both interesting and paid off well plot wise if there had been a solid foundation throughout and characters were fleshed out more, but somewhere along the way it feels like the passion just dropped like a rock. Characters started feeling like puppets, writing seemed to have almost given up. Almost no consistency so it felt like characterization was just bouncing around like a pinball. I was originally going to rate this average, mostly because I think the porn content was still ok, but remembering that even when I started just lazily speed reading to try and get to the end I eventually went so long without anyone making a move in the later chapters that really if you are looking for just that content it still is a little less than average. Unfortunate, from the little research I've done on the general outlook now that I'm done it does seem like interest may have been lost part way through and it just needed to wrap up to move onto something else. Hopefully they do not fall into the same trap in their new endeavor.

Review of "My Real Desire" Visual Novel Introduction I was “recommended” My Real Desire from another AVN, funnily enough. I’ve always appreciated AVN Developers' (Devs) ability to throw in easter eggs or shoutouts to other AVNs. It’s one of those things that makes you giddy when you’ve already played through said AVN and know what’s going on. However, despite the AVN being a shoutout from another, I found the overall experience in My Real Desire to be lackluster. I will try to break it up into sections, so if you want to know about a specific area, you can skip to that section. Storyline The story of "My Real Desire" is divided into one main plot and various character subplots. The overall main storyline is mid at best. It was enough to keep me curious until the end, with a significant split halfway through that leads to drastically different outcomes based on the player’s decisions. However, the subplots, while adding some depth, often feel rushed. This can be attributed to the challenge of adequately developing ten different love interests (LIs) within the game. As a result, the game falls into the common harem genre pitfall where the characters lack sufficient development, making it hard for players to truly connect with or like them. Character Development The individual characters lack distinct personalities and are often quick to align with the main character (MC) without substantial relationship development. The typical progression involves the MC helping a character, who then becomes exceptionally grateful and quickly expresses their appreciation in a predictable manner. This rushed development leaves much to be desired for those preferring more depth and gradual relationship building. Dialogue and Writing An important marker for an engaging story is whether players feel compelled to read the dialogue. Unfortunately, for "My Real Desire," much of the dialogue outside the crucial main story points is often skipped or skimmed through. The characters do not offer much individuality, and their interactions with the MC tend to follow a repetitive formula. Moreover, the game suffers from poor English, which can be jarring at times. While the intentions behind the dialogue are clear, the need for a thorough proofread and some tender loving care is evident to enhance the overall experience. Visuals As this is a Honey Select (HS) game, it has an anime look, and the graphics can only get so good. The individual LIs have a good look, and I can't complain too much about it. The animations are also ok. Nothing about either really jumps out at you. If I had to put a number to it, the characters get a 7, and the animations get a 5. Conclusion "My Real Desire" has an alright main storyline and struggles with character development and dialogue. The rushed subplots and lack of distinct character personalities prevent it from reaching its full potential. Nevertheless, it remains an alright experience for those intrigued by the harem genre and willing to overlook its translation flaws.
