Myth of Slayer

The game is definitely inspired by Solo Leveling, but I wouldn't say that it's copying it, it is more like you are playing as a different character in Solo Leveling world. The humor is quite nice, the story is compelling and the characters are likable, but their facial expressions could be improved, though. Overall, I think people are judging the game a bit hard, maybe because its world is built based on the famous manhwa. Myth of Slayer is definitely a really enjoyable experience for me.

Only downside to this one is that the english translation is a little rough to say the least. Beyond that expect a great harem experience with awesome LI's, cool story with normal MC that grows over time. Keep it up Dev.

Version Ch.9 Compared to Oldcat's previous work, My Real Desire, Myth of Slayers features significant graphical upgrades and animations which makes for a pleasant playthrough visually. However, some of the previous shortfalls like a flat story, stiff dialogue and abrupt character transitions seen in MRD are still painfully evident here. Story The plot draws parallel with popular anime, Solo Levelling, with much of the story world largely similar - portals leading to RPG fantasy dungeons appear in the city and people with awakened powers known as Slayers form guilds to explore them, slay monsters and sell the spoils to make money and prevent mayhem. Although it starts off in a highly similar fashion to Solo Levelling, thankfully the plot does gradually deviate from the anime, allowing MOS to tread the fine line between being a straight forward adult parody and an anime inspired AVN. Game Mechanic Visual novel with choices that chalks up love points, essentially a mechanism to allow players to reject LIs. Background / Character Renders Both background and character designs experience significant updates compared to MRD through the competent use of HS2 mods, filters and post processing. Both MC and the LIs are designed with strong reference to Korean manhwas i.e. MC has typical Korean bowl cut hair, all the LIs have long faces with sharp chins, thin figures and pearly white skins. While it may not be to everyone's taste, it's a nice departure from the usual HS2 anime or Daz rough western looks. Character Development Unfortunately despite having the advantage of building up from Solo Levelling, MOS struggles to portray multi-faceted and convincing characters. The MC alternates between being a supine soulless individual and hand of justice realm protector whenever story needs arise. This abrupt transition has no build up for players to prepare for and you are sort of just told to accept it is what it is. The LIs are basically all positive, docile and flawless beautiful angels which makes it hard to tell them apart character wise. Their relationship with MC is often laced with awkward dialogue consisting of polite surface pleasantries which does make their transition from casual acquaintances to lovers abrupt and unconvincing. Sex Scenes How sex is initiated in MOS is quite often sudden and unexpected even after accounting for porn logic. MC and a girl can just be chit chatting about random stuff and next moment without any teasing or mood transitions they end up fucking. For a couple of scenes, I literally thought MC was going to wake up halfway from a dream / fantasy sequence. Having said that, the facial expressions, camera angles, sound effects and animations are well-done and warrant at least a four star. So far nothing kinky, the usual kissing, hand job, blow job and sex positions which is expected from games of this genre. BGM and Sound Effects Comes with a suite of decent mostly upbeat BGMs and basic sound effects for action scenes. However, I note some of the sombre and dangerous scenarios could do with heavier emotional music to amplify the mood. Conclusion My verdict for MOS is largely similar to MRD - it's an overall above average piece of work with no particular turn offs or engaging points. Kudos to the developer for upgrading graphics and animations to keep up with times, but weaknesses in the form of dialogue scripting and characterization remain. In fact, I am surprised that another AVN currently in development, "Echoes: The Lies We Tell Ourselves", comes from the same developer. Echoes has far superior writing and character complexity compared to MOS and it would help greatly if some of that craftsmanship can rub off on MOS.

Been a while since i've cringed that much, feels like a rip-off of solo leveling without the good stuff, atrocious dialogue, terrible power scaling, everything feels awkward and poorly thought out, the only things okay-ish are the visuals

Although this is based on the common Korean 'Supernatural invasion involving portals and humans given superpowers' fantasy, I'm liking it so far. The issues I have with the VN are related to the dialogue, and forced nature of the relationships with the LIs. For example, Fiola wants her first kiss from MC, then a BJ, and they bang all in the same scene. Does MC have some kind of pheromone that makes the girls go from 0-100? The scene with Nina in the hospital is another example. The dialogue seems unnatural. Not how people would really talk to each other. There are one or two spelling errors I have spotted. But the girls are pretty, with their own distinct personalities. I wonder when MC is going to have the 'Oyakodon'?

There was an interesting start with the plot concept here, and some nice LIs, but it's started to fall flat as the updates came through. I appreciate that it's a straightforward VN with no unnecessary gimmicks, but the story almost feels like a sideshow, jumping through place and time with little fluidity. This is most painfully apparent with the LIs, where we seem to now be trying to rack up a high score rather than developing relationships. You bang your "adopted" sister and mother relatively early and then barely anything actually comes forth from that. Rather than moving the story forward, this VN really needs to slow down and allow for some fleshing out of the LIs.

I was surprised to see game not just has a good renders and good H scenes but also has very good story. The more I play game becomes more intriguing and every update it gets better and better. I really loved playing each update and thanks to dev and good luck with the game!

Great game, if you're a fan of Solo Leveling I highly recommend it! Its approach is unique, not just a 1:1 copy of the popular manwha. The girls designs and personalities are great, and the protagonist doesn't feel like just another plain lucky and st*pid guy.

Version Reviewed : Chapter 8 Overall Rating: 7/10 A decent AVN that borrows heavily from Solo Leveling’s concept but isn't living upto its potential. Detailed Review Character Design: 8/10 Characters are hot, but they have that standard Honey Select look, more like polished dolls than humans. Renders and Animations: 6/10 Visuals and animations are serviceable but nothing special. They do the job, but you won’t find any shots that truly stand out or impress. H-Scenes: 7/10 Typical Honey Select animations. Newer scenes show improvement, and the poses are decent but are a bit too short. Story: 7/10 The premise is what hooked me: Solo Leveling-style world with gates, hunters/slayers, a ranking system, and an MC growing stronger through combat. But after eight chapters, the story has barely progressed. Thankfully, it finally seems to be picking up, and there’s real potential if done right. Writing: 6/10 Easily the weakest part. There’s a lot of redundant text, inner thoughts and dialogue that could be trimmed down. Spelling and grammatical mistakes are also common and every 3rd line starts with "Then let's" which is becoming irritating. Choices & Playability: 8/10 This is straightforward linear AVN. There are no sandbox/ grindy elements. Choices mainly influence relationship points and scene unlocks rather than story direction. Simple and clean gameplay loop, but not much replayability.

I really wanted to like this game, but story-wise it’s only average at best. The first sex scene was one of the worst I’ve seen—not only poorly implemented but also cheap and with no emotion, as if it was added just to tick a box. I had high hopes for this game, but it’s not worth investing time in since it’s clear it won’t improve.

Great game, I’m surprised I hadn’t discovered it earlier. Definitely deserves a place in my top 10: engaging story, interesting and diverse characters, and good renders. The only downsides is that the body models look too similar, and LIs are too accessible, like they are 30+ and already divorced)

Good intro, world and character building. Likable and cliched characters. The only problem i have so far is the plot seems a little weak and generic, and the LI routes are not very distinct. But since this game is in its early stage, I gave 5 stars just because of its potential. I hope I won't be disappointed in future

Interesting idea, but what really kills this game is that it was written by someone who seems not to really understand how to give characters their own voices. So every character speaks very similarly to every other character, and it's an extremely bland personality that's not very entertaining. Author may by ESL (which is fine), but it shows in the sense that things are written "grammatically correct" but not in a way that anyone would ever really speak. Renders/animations are alright, but nothing to make this really worth it to be honest. Choices also don't matter besides making explicitly incorrect ones. Unfortunate bcs it is a really solid core idea.

Some cool ideas, but it's very meh as is. Good stuff 1) Mostly attractive RO's. 2) Power systems cool. Reminds me of a bunch of Isekai's & LN's. Bad stuff 1) This VN's a KN in disguise. All the choices are right or wrong answer. +1 point or nothing. View scene or skip scene. 2) The protag sucks. He's the usual uninteresting good guy that needs woman to initiate every lewd scene. Zzzzz. Give us some choices that let us shape his personality. 3) Most of the lewd scenes are very short and unsexy. It's such a waste of attractive character models.

A great game if you're into a story inspired by Solo Leveling. It has a good plot, beautiful LIs, and fluid smooth H-scenes. Pros: + Story with a good plot + Beautiful LIs (I'm biased towards HS2) + Has good BGM and sounds + H-scenes (with music and sounds) captures the intimacy of the characters Cons: - Grammar. The Dev should find a proofreader to look over dialogue (it's a minor inconvenience) Hopefully there will be pregnancy implemented in the future and that the harem persists through the end and i won't have to choose just one LI for the ending!

In true Japanese fashion, the girls make annoying-as-fuck vocaliziations during sex. Don't like it? Turning voices off will do nothing. Turning music off will do nothing. Turning sound off will do nothing. Muting everything will do the trick, but I wish I didn't have to. I have no interest in the slayer story, but the girls are sexy, and that's pretty rare in my opinion, so it's good for something.

Great game, I loved the story although i feel the Dev could do even better. There is a lot of potential. The models are good. I don't understand the low reviews though.. A lot of action, his demon has a nice humor. Having more ladies in the game would be nice too. Keep up the great work Dev and thank you for your game!

It's good. The writing is mediocre. The grammar is often poor, but it still all makes sense. The plot is good. The girls are good, but not great. The sex scenes are good. Overall, I'm enjoying it, but not loving it; it's good.
