Parasite in City: Nightwalkers
is an unofficial, completely non-commercial fan project created as a new chapter in the legacy of
Parasite in City
.
Built in Unity 2022 while preserving the original game’s sprites, sounds, atmosphere, and identity, Nightwalkers expands on that foundation with new enemies, two additional weapons, redesigned and more intuitive controls, and a range of new gameplay systems and encounters.
This is a short, focused experience by design—not an attempt to turn
Parasite in City
into something it was never meant to be.
The goal is simply to recapture what made the original memorable, give longtime fans a reason to step back into its world, and show what another chapter could look like.
Short and sweet, familiar but new, Nightwalkers is meant to be a new beginning.

A pathetic parody of the original. There are only three types of enemies: a zombie, a fly, and a dog, with short, low-quality animations. Apparently, to compensate lack of variety, dev decided to increase difficulty and add surprise attacks from both sides. Playing new game is not interesting, and gameplay is very annoying. Just download the save file with gallery and check out animations. I highly doubt game will get better in future.

Best of luck to this project in this wonderful universe. I hope we get to see the new content that the original developer was working on for the next version. Thank you for doing this. I hope the mechanics from the original project remain intact but are polished, and that new, interesting features, enemies, and skins are added.

I tried it once. In 5 minutes. Died thrice. Didn't bother continuing. I played the v1 so devs might have changed some things since The problem with this game is that dev implements the original game's player movement but designed practically everything else like side-scrolling shooters, similar to Contra games from NES era. Like, enemies coming from front and back, sprinting, and your only weapon is the same measly pistol you had in the original game. The struggling window is too short and it demands WASD instead of both WASD and arrow keys despite both are movement keys Tl;dr: the game is not even remotely fun. Don't bother trying until more fixes later

There're still many things that need to be fixed before it could actually be enjoyably played. All enemies are way too strong, plus the game locked you on full screen mode, but all the UI all in a small window which I persume is 1920x1080 (I'm using a 1440 monitor) and they don't let you zoom in to watch the "fun" scene. Overall, let just wait till the dev cooked it up properly first.

game play is very bad. keyboard on a platform game is a bad idea. character cannot run and move very slow. the slow movement and limited ammo makes the game very frustrating. I deleted the game after dying 3 times. The only good thing is the pixel art. until character movment can be faster with plenty of ammo and a gamepad can be used, dont waste your time.

Dev needs to rebalance the entire thing. Feels like it was tested with Unlimited health turned on or something or The Dev played it so much he know every pixel perfect moment when to shoot, kick and react to actually beat this thing

The AI is terrible—and honestly, hit games from back in the day didn't need AI anyway. We loved the original for its simplicity and gameplay— the 18+ The fan-made version is awful. It’s a "play once and delete" kind of thing.

Somehow, I made it to the very end, kicking zombies and wasting bullets only on dogs and flies. A Molotov cocktail is thrown somewhere off-screen. At the end, there's a broken elevator button and a horde of zombies that are impossible to fight off. Imposible piece of shit, and desecration of the original game.

Untagged AI. Generally very low effort asset flip of the original that has jank controls and is a downgrade in every meaningful way. Kind of wish the dev would apply themselves a little more instead of churning out slop and desecrating a classic.

The game’s description is quite misleading. This creation does not preserve the spirit, style, or ideas of the original game by Pixel Factory, as the author claims. There is a very strong contrast between the action sprites and the erotic ones. The game uses an extremely crude monster “spawn” system simply to surround the player, whereas the original game handled this in a much more creative and elegant way. At the very least, this game should not be called Parasite in City , because it is neither the original game nor its sequel. It is a completely uninspired creation that uses assets from the original game. I honestly cannot believe that Pixel Factory gave their approval for this. I strongly suspect that they did not.

1. The controls when exiting a grapple are too awkward. It's truly annoying. 2. The zombies are incredibly fast. So either slow them down or increase the attack frequency—the pause between attacks is too long. 3. The flies are also too fast, which ruins the gameplay. 4. Most importantly, at 2560*1440, the window is too small (the gameplay area is small, even in full-screen mode). 5. The animations are also too fast/too short... 6. In my opinion, the game has good potential if they fix the annoying features... 4 stars in advance..

If you enter thinking this is an action shooter like the original, you will be delusional. This is a slow puzzle action game. What i mean is the game is full of gotcha moment, if you go gunblaze running toward the end point, you end up dead. Instead you need to go slow, pick the fight, and realize when use every items you got. One example, in a point, after the trashbin, 3 zombies will appear from behind, but they will appear one at a time so you need to neutralize them before confronting the one in the front so you are not surrounded. Animations and movement are fluid, they move more fluidly than the original, but i found the attack animation with the foot being too slow even if the game want you to use it more than your weapons. The shooting part meanwhile is too blocky, you can only attack front, 45° down and 45° up. Against the bugs is horrible, but the strategy with them is let them charge, dodge and shoot frontal when they are on face level. But a terrible part that need to be fixed is the sex-quick-time-event. I don't get what i should do, i press the button and it doesn't do anything. I suggest to remove it completely, just make the player enjoy the punishment (with a skip button). Overall it's a welcome back, even if this is a remake of the original Parasite in City, then a remaster, the overall gameplay is changed, from the good or the worst. I love it Also this is a demo, only the first level is finish.

Finished the whole thing just to justify leaving a review. It's awful to control, and superficiality aside resembles nothing of the original. The game is not difficult as much as it is annoyingly unfair at times, mainly in that your attacks have an overly long cooldown and there is seemingly no difference in damage between using your melee and your resource-limited gun, much less how awful aiming with the gun can be. Just play the original again, and short of a whole rework I can't see this becoming good with more time, as this one fundamentally misses what made it great.
