Review written after playing the 0.4 version of the game. An intriguing story, understandably juvenile akin to a YA novel or a shonen anime which the game essentially is. Within these genre expectations adjusted to and combined with ones given to a Visual Novel, Rated 19 performs admirably. The cinematography, if the term can be applied to a VN, is handled with care and the developer(s) clearly understand the importance of precise camera placement and editing to emphasize certain aspects of a scene, create suspense or maintain the momentum of the action. Narrative and dialogue are engaging and immersive, with thought given to realism - just enough to ground the story but not to over-complicate it or risk ruining the suspension of disbelief - and grit befitting a dystopian setting but, again, not too much to go beyond the inherent whimsy and silliness of a setting built around teenagers with superpowers. The comparative slow burn type of romance and especially sex are welcome since they are done right: establishing relationships and building up tension before payoff. The soundscape is, so far, spotty: the soundtrack is immersive and well-chosen but sound quality on the tracks is lacking somewhat which might be due to RenPy constaints. The sound design is somewhat barebones as in there's sounds mostly for crucial elements of a scene but what is there serves its purpose adequately if not occasionally on sub-par side. The graphical element is handled with care considering the antiquated visuals of the engine, ensuring that the backgrounds and character models do not stand out negatively. Still, the limits are perceived quite easily. The lack of QoL features such as the gallery (most of all), stats, save-naming or in-game guide option stings but understandable since the game is in its early stages of development. Bottom line, the VN has juice so far and deserves more attention.

I felt very much entertained despite there being no hot action. It makes you wonder if this game is actually in the right place here. Closest we came to nudity is when the exposed knees of the girl with the baseball bat were shown. Just found a scene through the forum discussion here so the above is no longer correct. But we are at the beginning and now that the mystery has been established and the schools are taking shape more and more we can hope for more interpersonal action. What I liked Definitely plot driven with nice writing. Worldbuilding is good even though i have to admit I was a little worried after the exposition dump at the start. What I did not like Lookswise this is not my cup of tea. That is not necessarily detrimental but I feel the game deserves better. It's not the rendering software, there are other HS games that are visually pleasing. Anyway, I am very curious where the story goes. Best of luck to the dev.

It's been a while since i've had enough interest in a game to where I go out of my way to write a review. When I rate a erotic game like this I do rate storytelling fairly differently than a regular game. A lot of these games on this site sacrifice the story for the quick gratification of a sex scene to appease their player base. I mean don't get me wrong there's a reason why i'm on this site looking for games so not knocking it by any means. However for me I find far more gratification when there's a bit of build up to those eventual scenes. Up until now the most sexual scene with 0.4 Update is a grinding scene and it didn't feel to unnatural like a porn plot as there was proper build up scenes and the two characters being long time friends so there is a bit of rapport. Now as for the story spoilers ahead as I do want to give shout out to things that hit the aspects I enjoy. First and foremost I can't stand cowardly or non-confidant main characters who due to the plot get things handed to them or a bunch of learning on the fly now i'm competent. Where in this case the main character is the complete opposite and when respect or success happens for him it feels earned and I can respect it. That's why when he later is given the role of leader of the school I understand the reasoning behind it. It didn't just fall into his lap. Actions and the way he carries himself is the reason behind this upgrade in position. More positives he isn't a robot dry protagonist either. He is fairly charismatic which showcases one of the biggest strengths this game possesses. Which is explained why he is as well with him being the star basketball player and his intentionality of being friendly with all types of people. The dialogue of this game is actually great in totality and I can see actually people speaking that way not just some robot bullshit back and forth. Now going into the plot as a whole i've watched/read plenty of dystopian themed stories before. And i'm not saying this is some revolutionary shit by any means. However that's not what we should be looking for in these games. What I appreciate there's some individuality in plot points and has a interesting primary plot point. I think it also helps that there are also interesting characters that enhance it but nevertheless. I enjoy the set up they place when it comes to conflicts/enemies. I think that's what is going to make me play this long term. There actually feels like there's stakes and the way things are split with factions/groups it makes it really intriguing how things progress. It's nice to see a developer have some intentionality behind how their story progresses. Smaller things before I wrap up. A thing other people not give a shit about. I enjoy when a story doesn't neglect the bro and male characters that aren't the main character. I obviously know the mc is going to be able to get the harem get far more spotlight. However so many stories the male characters just feel like NPCs just planted in there with no personality, no story behind them, just a device to let the player know the mc isn't a fucking loser with no friends. As for a early build 0.4 with this type of genre of game I feel comfortable reviewing this and giving it a 5 to also give it some extra recognition. Here's hoping it keeps it up since it seems like it's still early if not well i'll delete this review and give a updated one.

A lot of the reviews are nailing why this game is 5 stars, it is actively trying to tell a story, and keeps the viewer engaged. The story seems like a mix of The 100 and Daybreak, and it has a lot of good characters. The only flaws are that the MC seems a bit too perfect. He is not the chosen one, but he sure seems close. I wish there was more romance. Des is great and she might be my favorite potential romance option even if it opens up, but I would have liked to have more options earlier on. Very promising, I hope it continues to have strong chapters.

One of those games where the story is truly good. This piece here is truly deserving of being called a hidden gem. Like when I saw that mc had a brother and sister, an actual family without any sexual thing in it and how he ran to take care of them first being the big brother, I knew this was gonna be good. I like how mc is not stupid but rather calm I also like the realism of how the girls talk with other boys because of their, like I don't understand that if that girl is LI it doesn't necessarily mean that she can't talk to other boys for work like in many games I have seen. I also like that the best friend of mc doesn't look like a loser or isn't just there to fill the role. Lastly I just want to say that this piece truly deserves the title of hidden gem, just try it out you are gonna love but if you want segs scene , as of v0.4.0 it dosen't have it but romance takes time soo..... . Anyways a 4.7 out of 5 from me.

One of the rare VNs on this site, where the dev try to tell a story. Mind you it's not perfect, it's a bit rough around some edges, but it has it's charm. The dev has made 4 updates in an year, which add up to quite a bit of content. To be honest, said content include nearly no lewd scenes, but the story was interesting enough to keep me occupied, which isn't the case for quite a few games on this site that have the VN tag. I would say to give it a go if you likes story focused games, but this is NSFW forum so most people probably aren't interested in what this game has to offer for now. If you are in for the lewds and only then, it may be good idea to wait a few mora updates, rather than giving it try now and then leaving low ratings for lack of lewds. Beside all of the above, i would say that the story is still in it's early stages so there's a lot to be shown. For the moment we are mostly intoduced to characters and the things are picking up steam. The only other thing that comes to mind is that the dev needs to consider scope. There are ton of games that try to aim too high and then suffer for it, with story that's promising to be "multiple acts" and to have "8 main LI plus side girls" this may be a bit much for first project.

One of the best written VNs on the site. Story is amazing, bit of a slow burn from a romance/sex perspective (no true sex scenes yet) but action packed on all other fronts. Solid visuals, though not spectacular. Having some sort of codex/diary to keep track of the people and groups would be nice to have, especially given half of the girls from the banner aren't even in yet, so still plenty more groups of people to come I expect.

If you're reading this, stop reading this and go play this game. If you're just looking for a fuckfest, this game isn't for you and that's okay. What a sleeper, how have I not tried this yet? On one hand I'm mad at myself for having not found this until now, on the other hand I mourn the worldline in which I found this after completion so I could play it from start to finish without waiting for updates. It's that good.

Finally, some good fucking food. Imagine my surprise when I launched this AVN. The MC has a brother, a mother and a sister and he didn't think about fucking or cucking any of them. Imagine my double surprise when I discovered the MC isn't fucking retarded. Imagine my triple surprise when it turned out his best friend isn't a moron that exists only to fill a quota. Imagine my quad surprise when the writing overall turned out to be *really* good. Oh, good lord, how much I missed that, you can't imagine. I'm giving it 5 stars regardless. Obviously no AVN is perfect, the aspect in which this one is lacking is the visuals - not that they're bad, far from it , but I imagine the dev is still getting familiar with HS2, the most obvious place of improvement I can see is the lighting of the scenes. However, considering the writing, that dev is someone intelligent, and intelligent people tend to get better at the things they do. Tell your friends about that one, degenerates. And if you can, support it.

You know how people use the term "hidden gem" a bit too loosely ? This game is the definition of a hidden gem. How it doesn't have more ratings and visibility is beyond me. What in the fuckity fuck where has this shit been hidin'?????? I can guarantee you that you haven't come across a piece like this in this site and if you enjoy a strong narrative, you will yearn for more. Real talk, it looks like just another HS game with post apocalyptic setting but dude the writing and world building is so wonderfully done. People talk like people, no creepy inner monologue or thinking about sex 24/7. Essentially story is about a post-apocylatic setting with a new concept which I won't spoil but ends up couple of friends meeting each other and trying to keep it all together. Disclaimer : this is a very story heavy piece and amazing story work. If you are looking for FAP look away. Currently at 0.3 there's 8+hrs of content but 1 semi-H scene (dry humping with clothes on). That tells you how wonderfully they are moving this piece. Soooo good and natural. Pros : MC is likeable, not a fckin creep. Story is so fresh and banger. Writing is phenomenal along with music. The cast is so well done with unique personalities. They are not afraid to speak their minds. Everyone is contributing to the game. Cons : Not a fckin thing. This plays like a movie, I'm invested so much! Verdict : abso-fucking-lutely pick it up. Stupendo fantabulously phantasmagorically drafted eye-mesmerizing jaw dropping narrative. Pick it up for the story, you really won't regret it. This shit fills my hole..........it will fill yours too no doubt........(Played 500+ AVNs and this shit here is top 3 material no doubt).

I am disappointed this doesnt have more reviews and isn't more popular. The story is great and the writing is absolutely fantastic. The characters all feel amazingly written. The visuals are typical honey select but I like those so good for me.

Nice — finally, something refreshing to play! I’m all for a story with romance where it fits, and a sprinkle of spicy scenes(though it doesn't have scenes right now). And this one delivers it all. Kudos! It’s got that apocalypse anime vibe, and I love it. Now, the plot, damn! I was hooked from start to finish. Not many games manage to keep that sense of engagement the whole way through. The characters are great too, there are so many, and they’re not just your typical archetypes. Loved that. The love interests so far are quite good, though I think I might actually like one of the non-LIs, judging by the poster I think she is nonLI (*yra-dev pls make her LI if she is not). Also although I am always up for harem, i think in this game I liked male characters as well, so I think others should also be allowed to be partners. But i will be keeping one or two or maybe some more but certainly not all. Honestly, I find a lot of AVNs miss one thing or another, but very few combine everything and pull it off this well. One small note, maybe it’s just me not being a native English speaker, but some of the dialogue was a bit hard to follow at times. Really looking forward to future updates. Best of luck to the dev!

v0.3 TL;DR: An intriguing start to a story-driven AVN with good graphics, writing and music. An all-around sound package that imo shows good potential to become one of the better reads you'll come across here - as long as you can accept the given premises. RATING BREAKDOWN (*/10) Graphics/Models/Compositions (8/10): The models seem to be Honey Select assets which certainly is a question of subjective preference. For me personally this is not a problem as long as selected assets are of at least decent quality. To me this is the case here. What is also noticeable is the care for detail in composition of the renders. Scenes look coherent and I didn't notice any immersion breaking errors in terms of angles, perspectives, lighting and relative object sizes.​ Story/Writing/Pacing (10/10): The basic story elements aren't anything new. We've had countless stories about school life, super powers and likewise themes. Nonetheless I was surprised how all of this got packaged into a - to me - fresh feeling kind of spin of them. A large part of this is thanks to the consistent and well-paced writing of the story so far. The author takes time to introduce the world and setting of the plot without going overboard with long monologues or similar things. There's also no disconnect or confusion resulting from inconsistencies which would be breaking immersion. Also a very important aspect (to me at least) is the good writing/grammar style. Choosing well structured sentences and wording that is easy to read without feeling simplistic, forced or fake. To make things clear though, for those looking at this for a lot of lewd/porn, this is not one of those AVNs where you get h-scenes every few clicks. There's actually only a clothed grinding scene so far. I personally mainly prefer AVNs like this, where the lewd stuff is made to fit the plot - and not the plot made to fit the lewd stuff.​ Characters/Dialogues (9/10): We get a decently wide mix of characters - which is a given considering the setting. All with a unique personality and own traits. The author is utilizing some widely used tropes/stereotypes (just like many others do) to make some characters more accessible without long introductions. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as they fit well into the plot and still get a spin of uniqueness/own personality imo - which seems to be the case here. All characters seem to have their own mind without suffering from lack of complexity concerning intents and thoughts. So far they all seem to be able of having own opinions, agendas and (dis)likes. The MC is no push-over and rather pragmatic on the basis. This and his normal behavior mostly makes him likeable to me. His character seems to be formable to some extent as well though. Moreover, one of the most important aspects in this section to me - the conversations between characters are believable and consistent.​ Music/SFX (9/10): It's noticeable that for the choices of music and sfx there was also a good amount of effort being made as to what emotions/effects the respective scenes should invoke.​ OVERALL RATING: 9/10 || 4.5/5 CLOSING REMARKS: Overall these first 3 chapters hooked me and made me interested in finding out where this story will lead. Finding a potential hidden gem that's showing promise is always a good thing - so with sitting directly between 4 and 5 i decided to go with 5 for now and see where it goes from here.

As of 0.2 this is surprisingly good. Like way above where I expected. There isn't even any spicy content yet and I'm already hooked. It is both creative and more original than the vast majority of what's available anywhere else. It is both fantastic and realistic at the same time with many compelling characters. I look forward to the next chapter and hope the developer will continue with this level of quality. Everything seems incredibly well thought out and I am excited to see where things will go.

Due to lack of H-Content and Animation the actual rating is closer to 46% PROS: Models are not bad looking, but the style is not one I am a big fan of. Music and sounds are good Writing is good, reads well and structured well. Story is actually not completely bad simply because its so weird out there, but thats where its interest ends IMO. CONS: Story is too vague and plot is still obscure even into version 0.2. Its all boring and focused on the kids which is itself a limitation. Per story point, the story is unique but also just, its also on the nose when it comes to sudden bullshit. A world is miraculously crapped out by some entity that is either like Q from star trek or Thanos when he snaps his fingers and just does whatever he wants. What makes this worse though is that the focus on the game is really on the MC who comes across as mediocre and not really different from any other kid in the game, he does not feel special even with powers and all that is happening in this world so far is really just about the kids and getting them all situated and to create some order for them, ironically going against the very thing this entity wants really, the little bit of intrigue this game has shown is not enough for everything else it does not show. Adding to the story, the characters are also uninteresting and the only semi interesting part of the game is the sick friend in hospital and that because im curious about her. The rest...as before boring... No H-scenes and pretty boring actually with the game not really getting anywhere interesting, I actually found myself skipping the dialogue post the brother rescue...its just a boring read and not nearly intriguing enough. FINAL REMARKS, OPINIONS & SUGGESTIONS: Per above, only having teenagers in this world limits the game severely especially when it comes to H-scenes and then to ensure we don't kiddy fiddle, the characters need to be 18yo unless I'm mistaken? So that limits the sexual relations even more. So no milfs or mature woman, only brats with small tits and drama. Adding to the above, the game has no H-scenes, this is an adult VN no? Lets think about this, young horny teenagers, no parents, grown ups, some have superpowers and they can pretty much do what they want, and we have zero H-scenes? Come on.!..so far in the game sex doesn't get show and the MC sure as shit doesn't get any yet, not even a kiss from a LI yet. SAD. Disappointing and not to be confused with something like Waifu Academy which even though I don't like the style, which is reminiscent of this game, its much better in terms of story, interesting characters and actually has some decent lewd scenes. This all being said, I think the developer did a good job of the game and the efforts are good really, but the game didn't appeal to me and the story gets lost simply because of the slow progression which just does not keep me interested enough, especially when there are no H-scenes of ANY kind to at least break from the monotonous read that is currently all that's here. Oh and before anyone gripes, superhero stories are a dime a dozen, so having powers and kids going ape shit is not that special or unique, so if you gonna go this route, make it fucking interesting and don't screw yourself over by dragging it out...if you drag it out, give the player a good story. Here however, there is no suspense and the only intriguing part is the sick girl in hospital that goes missing...but lets face it, this is most likely not technology, more like magic and demons shit which is not very interesting, at least not in this context and not the way this writer is telling the story.

Short but promising, so far no sexual content yet. Rated 19 is the kind of story where you'll have to suspend your disbelief a little. Some unknown entity that's assumed the form of a little kid has, with the aid of some other external forces, removed all the adults above the age of 19 and given the remaining humans superpowers in form of enhancements of gifts. You play as the local basketball star who has to navigate this post-apocalyptic where all the rules have been thrown out to try to keep your brother and friends safe, while searching for a way to find your little sister and reunite with your illness-stricken childhood friend. The story is currently a little on the shorter side and doesn't yet feature a lot of choices, but it does a good job of giving the characters their own personality. The writing is pretty decent, although a bit too much exposition happens through narration, instead of letting the images & the context speak for themselves, rather than spelling everything out for the player. What makes this story promising in my eyes is that the developer actually develops conflicts, character motivations and emotional connections between the characters. A lot of games just throw good-looking characters your way that are barren of any soul and feature no connection to the protagonist except their fuckability. Rated 19 seems to intend to actually make believeable emotional connections, from the childhood friend that's been hospitalized for a terminal illness, to the protagonist's friends and siblings. The protagonist also manages to credibly balance self-preservation instincts and human psychology, giving us a protagonist who's not an overpowered and undefeatable juggernaut but someone using street smarts to outmaneuver more enhanced foes and while not immediately resorting to excessive force or violence, will not shy away from taking a life if there is no other way. It makes me hopeful that it's going to be a story with a protagonist that's not going to be an edgy power-trip teenager, but a more rational thinking but determined person thatdoes what it takes to get those he cares about through the dangers of a world unchained. In that, the five stars are more of a encouragement than a final rating, since the game doesn't yet show much beyond chapter 1 and doesn't yet show how the developer manages to handle the sexual content. Still, I prefer to give encouragement & hope the dev can manage updates in the near future. Given that there's no sexual content yet and this isn't just a fap-story, the developer should probably be prepared to use other social media to spread awareness (twitter, bluesky etc.) and be prepared that support for slow-buildup games like this is usually slow to come and many people will wait multiple updates before they might commit to any support. That said, I had fun playing the game and am genuinely curious how things pick up in the future.
