About Record of Asturion War Redux

Record of Asturion War Redux is a Ren'Py adventure visual novel by Harold, presented with 3D CG art. It is set on Asturion, a springtime continent of humans, elves, halflings, and other peoples, where a fragile peace after long fighting is shattered by the Rascian Empire’s sweeping invasions. You play as Marek, Prince of Mercia, trying to resist the imperial advance. The story blends fantasy warfare with harem elements and monster girl encounters.

The current release is v1.063, dated August 9, 2023, so development is ongoing rather than finished. It is available for Windows and Linux, in English, without censorship. The latest changelog fixes the condition description for the Elissandra and Volodar battle and notes a Mac version, while earlier updates addressed gallery, sprite, notification, and battle crash problems.

Developer's description

Asturion, home to humans, elves, halflings and more, is a continent in spring. Having recently emerged from a series of endless battles, a tentative calm has overtaken the nations. People were hopeful that, perhaps, these halcyon days could continue. Spoiler However, this was not to be the case. The war machine of the Rascian Empire launched coordinated attacks on its neighbours. The strikes were brutal, unrelenting and overwhelming to the point that nation after nation crumbled under the march. But one man seeks to turn the tides of war, the much-loved, oft-praised Prince of Mercia, Marek. Can he stand against the Imperial war machine?
