About Recourse

Recourse is an adult game by JackWasker23, built in Godot with 2D AI CG art. It combines combat, school setting, and sandbox choices with a top-down stealth shooter and slice-of-life visual novel scenes. You play Adam, a nineteen-year-old starting college and living with housemates who do not know his background. Since childhood, a caretaker taught him locks, guns, patience, and rules called Tenets. Before leaving town, he asks Adam to protect the household. Daytime lets you attend classes, work shifts, build relationships, and decide how much others learn. Nighttime brings stealth missions where guards use vision cones, hearing, blood trails, radios, and searches. You can disable lights, crawl through vents, hide bodies, or clear enemies, while news coverage reacts to your actions.

The current build is v0.1.0, released on October 21, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows in English and is uncensored. The v0.1.0 update provides the initial release.

Recourse is a top-down stealth-shooter wrapped in a slice-of-life visual novel. Since childhood, A man has taught Adam (or you) everything: locks, guns, patience, and the rules he calls the Tenets. Now Adam is 19, starting college, sharing a house with people who know nothing about any of it, and your caretaker has left town. His only request was that you protect everyone in the household while he's gone. Spoiler By day: go to class, work shifts, spend time with the people in your house, and keep your nights a secret. Who you get close to, and how much they find out, is up to you. By night: Top down stealth missions, inspired by Intravenous . Guards see in cones, hear footsteps, follow blood trails, find bodies, radio each other and come looking. Cut the power, shoot out the lights, crawl through vents, hide bodies in dumpsters. Ghost a level without being seen, or take everyone down. The news reports what you did, and maybe even other characters.
