It’s been a crazy few months for
Breedspawn
, and we’ve got a hell of an update for you. This isn’t just another patch—it’s a full-blown transformation of the game’s world, systems, and mechanics. A lot has changed, and if you’ve been following along, you know we’ve hit some walls, scrapped some ideas, and made some last-minute decisions that have completely reshaped the direction of the game. But after all that struggle,
Breedspawn
is finally starting to feel like the game we envisioned.
From Alien Worlds to a Ruined City
Let’s start with the biggest shift. If you played earlier builds or saw our previews, you probably remember the alien world setting we originally planned. It was vast, open, and otherworldly—but something about it just didn’t fit. The demonic horror themes we were leaning into felt disconnected from the strange alien landscape. So, after a lot of back and forth, we made a huge call. We scrapped the alien world entirely and replaced it with something much darker and more grounded: a massive, procedural,
destroyed city
.
This change wasn’t just aesthetic—it reshaped the entire game. The abandoned ruins, the crumbling buildings, the eerie, suffocating atmosphere of a once-thriving metropolis now overrun with horrors—it just fits. And the best part? It’s all
procedurally generated
, meaning every playthrough, every mission, every dive into the city’s depths will be different. We had to rewrite major parts of the lore to accommodate this, but trust me, it was worth it.
Combat is Finally Taking Shape
Of course, the world is nothing without a proper combat system, and we’ve been going
all in
on refining that. The core melee combat is up and running, with
montage-based attacks, dodges, and parries
, plus hit reactions that change based on the direction of impact. We’ve also
added spell casting
, letting players harness the power of Ichor and Malichor to obliterate their foes.
Enemy AI is getting smarter, too. They strafe, they combo, they react to your attacks in a way that makes fights feel unpredictable and alive. We’ve got
basic ranged and magic AI combat
working now, meaning enemies can now throw fireballs or gunfire at you instead of just charging in blindly. Lock-on targeting is in, and we also fine-tuned how weapons interact with it—when you’re locked onto an enemy, spells now auto-track, making combat more fluid and intuitive.
The
locomotion system
was one of the biggest struggles in development. We tried AGR V. We tried custom retargeting. We even tried building our own system from scratch—each attempt led to limitations, jank, or something just feeling "off." Eventually, we pivoted to
motion matching
, but that too had its quirks, especially when dealing with dynamic characters. In the end, we pulled together multiple systems, tweaking and refining until we landed on something that feels smooth, natural, and responsive.
Weapons are expanding, too. We started with
pistols and unarmed combat
, but now we’re moving into
swords, melee weapon types, and firearms
with unique properties. Next, we’ll be implementing
proper damage calculations
based on weapon type, making sure a heavy warhammer doesn’t hit the same as a combat knife.
The Rise of the Underground Market
One of the core themes of
Breedspawn
is
power, corruption, and survival
, and what better way to showcase that than a full-fledged
bounty and black market system
? Right now, we’re adding
capture mechanics
to melee combat—down an enemy instead of killing them, restrain them, and then decide their fate. You can
sell captured individuals to the Authority or the Cult
, gaining money, influence, and reputation (or making enemies, depending on your actions). It adds a whole new layer to how you engage with the world—are you a ruthless bounty hunter, selling anyone and everyone for profit, or do you have a code, choosing only to take down certain targets?
Factions, Choices, and Consequences
Speaking of choices, we’re working on
faction relations
and a UI to track them. Your actions will dictate how different factions perceive you. Hand over too many captives to the Authority? The Cult will start hunting you. Work with the Cult too much? The Authority will brand you as a terrorist. Some groups might even offer special rewards if you prove your loyalty.
On top of that, the
love system
is making a return. Relationships with NPCs will be more dynamic than before, tied to reputation and faction standing. The world is brutal, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for something more... intimate.
What’s Next?
With the major overhaul in place, the next few weeks are all about refinement and expansion.
All remaining character classes
will be added, giving players more options on how they approach combat and survival. The
love feature
will be fully implemented, giving more depth to interactions beyond just fighting and trading. The
capture system will be finalized
, fully integrating it with the bounty economy. And finally, we’ll
finish implementing firearms
, expanding the arsenal with more weapons and fine-tuning how shooting feels.
We’ve come a long way, but there’s still plenty to do. The foundation is strong, and now it’s all about making
Breedspawn
into the horror-fueled, open-world experience we’ve envisioned from the start. Keep an eye out—this next build is going to be something special.

The game has nothing to do with the cover art. There is no content in it. Just a running and fighting simulator with endless respawning npc's. Graphics would be good if they were optimized. Full of bugs and glitches.
Man, I wish I had looked at the reviews. So, the current version (v6.0) is pretty much nothing. The audio adjustments in the settings didn't seem to have an effect, which is always great. Then there's no character creation screen, you get dropped into the map with nothing. There's no controls either as a tutorial or in the settings menu to know how to do anything. The few random NPCs I saw were instantly hostile. It also doesn't match the screenshots at all, I expected a farming sim though maybe in a ruined city like Fallout 4's settlements, since the changelog at least mentioned that.
i dont even know how to feel about this one, i guess it was a decent game before (at least it looks like it was by the first couple of screenshots) but now its practically nothing, 5Gb of nothing idk where did those Gb even come from. Everything wants to kill you, downloaded this bc i thought it was a action-farming game but its something entirely different, now its some post-apocaliptic BS (maybe change the overview).
Dev basically broke his game, arrived at rock bottom and went OH BOY! Let me grab my pick axe and shovel so i can dig myself deeper! dont bother downloading the game or even bother supporting the dev Game is a hot 5 gb mess of bugs asset flips and basically no content besides walking in fighting the whole city cause everyone is out to kill you, you tall to someone you get beat off screen without you being able to do anything, unoptimized, no content, No effort, No life, NO NOTHING
All nations lived in peace until the nation of censorship attacked, currently in version 5.8 it is 4GB of nothing!! the testimony that this game was once something was erased this is a start screen a "character creator" a loading screen to a map with no music a lifeless world a city full of (censored) npcs and a couple of erotic scenes if you manage to find an npc before the stamina runs out i don't know what else i can say!
False advertisement. Based on the pictures, I expected some fantasy type setting where you're working a farm and breeding. Instead it's some sci-fi setting where you spawn between 2 major dystopian cities and spend 5 minutes running to them to find a population that's 80% censored because the dev doesn't want to have kids, yet has several age groups younger than adult which generate in the world. There's also 0 tutorial, so figuring out how to do ANYTHING is a trial of patience which is not something you want when your player is horny. Hell someone had to post the controls here, why are they not in-game? I don't how to accomplish anything and the rules for this aren't explained at all. The game says it was made by 1 person, but 3 and a half years with not even the basics sorted out? Dude, you aren't meant to be a game dev, try something else. The icing on the cake? It's optimized like shit. It chugs constantly in the city, making trying to to figure things out unbearable. Deleted after 30 minutes of getting pissed off attempting to do shit. -1 out of 10, if I was a mod I'd delete this thread.
This vote is for version 5.8. Good, these games are extremely demanding and very poorly stabilized. Instead of ensuring that only the adult versions are released, 90% of them I crossed and pixelated. Once in the city it's lag galore. For those who and the tutorial, or even know where to start all this and non-existent. We don't understand how to earn money, in the photos we should be able to build, but even there is no explanation. For a project that was launched a little over 3 years ago, this is very disappointing.
There's no help for figuring out the controls, the customization is awful, the loli/shota content gets to disgustingly questionable degrees and you can't even interact with adult female characters. Once you do get into a sex dialogue you can't even do anything besides stare at two naked models and click buttons with the name of sex positions while "WAITING | DD" (whatever that means) flashes up on the screen. The game is also nothing like the pictures in the thread and nearly identical to a game called "Adventurous Monster Breeder"
Has potential. Already some decent sex positions implemented, and has a pretty good menu system for graphics, etc. Looking forward to the character customization and impregnation features in future updates! Following for sure, keep it coming dev!
Game is good but needs alot of work. Currently this game is going in the right direction with more updates that include new positions and a vast amount of races. The graphics are good but make my pc sound like an apache helicopter even with a 1660ti and i7. Will most likely increase rating in the future as the game progresses and becomes full.
Review for version 4.8.1 This has to be one of the most bare-bones games I've ever encountered on F95. I'd first like to address the tags, because most of them are false: 3D Game - yes Character Creation - nope (just a menu that says "coming soon" to ALL categories) Anal sex - nope Vaginal sex - yes slave - nope management - nope fantasy - yes Harem - nope handjob - nope rape - nope (you basically ask nicely, it seems consensual) pregnancy - nope simulator - nope (unless lighting counts, then yes it has some rays and bloom) Female protagonist - yes Male Protagonist - yes I assume all these tags might be for the Patreon version of the game, but that does not coincide with the version that is uploaded here, therefore more than half of them are invalid and even misleading. So, what you get is basically a world with a house (that has a working door), trees, some water and 2 spawn points (each around 130 meters away from the house) for female monsters with who you can have some pointless dialogue and sex in 2 different positions (with 3-4 stages) of which you can only control when they stop (no climax); you can rotate the camera around it, change it's height and zoom (there is also a POV camera option that does not work). That's all.
The game has been resurrect. Its far from being same as breeders of the Nephalem. The current content is poor. few almost same girls, some sex scenes with "wood" animation... But hey! There is a lot of place for improvement. Worth to check it
