Review of version 1.7.1.1, after clearing every stage, buying all upgrades, and unlocking all characters and fusions, both in and out of 18+ mode. Let me preface this by saying that this game is more enjoyable as just a game than as an adult game. As a survivors-like set in Aplove's kinda-sorta multiverse, this game is the kind of dumb fun I play survivors-likes for. A frankly vestigial plot, hordes of enemies to mow down, and sheer mayhem ensuing after I get enough things in a level. Plus a cavalcade of unlockable characters and modes, either by clearing stages, certain conditions, or just buying it in the shop. As an adult game for trying to jack it...I'm sorry, but it's just meh. You've got pixel art sex going on in the upgrade shop, some (not all) characters lose their clothes on taking lethal damage, maybe some in the levels, and the art gallery stage shows some of the 18+ gallery's art if you have the toggle on. The worst part is that turning on the 18+ toggle turns OFF all the cameo characters and the content associated with them, like fusions, synergies, and to an extent the ability to buy recruits from the shop (when 18+ toggle is on, the gacha display is replaced with a gallery of recruits having seggs). Understandable, the cameos come from a variety of IPs and creators who may not want their content to be associated with pixelated POnOs in vagOOO. There's enough to qualify this as an adult game, but I found that aside from like one exclusive character, the 18+ toggle isn't that substantial. Though it could be argued that by that logic, the dev made a game that's fun enough to enjoy without the promise of pixelated naked women. Tl;dr, 5/5 game if you're looking to blow shit up, mow down enemies, and revel in dumb fun. 3/5 game if you're looking to fap. Honestly, would recommend buying this game legit, since the dev has updated past 1.7.1.1, with new stuff that the "complete" version here doesn't have, both lewd and non-lewd. The Good A wide cast of characters, some even cameos from other IPs and media. You even have the option to make a custom character to use, though the character creator is somewhat limited. On a side note, playing the dev's other games like Project Malice or consuming the original media of the cameos is NOT mandatory to understand/play this one. The most that gets you is some moments of "oh hey it's that character" or "I understood that reference", so don't worry too much. Most survivors-likes just have basic "kill X number of enemies" or "last as long as possible." Solace Inc. does that have, but also other objectives like item collection, kart racing, and even...golf. And for anyone who isn't into those things, the next mission can be unlocked via purchase, so it's not like you HAVE to play every mission (though buying your way through missions only cuts down the amount of stuff there is to do, so personally I didn't do it and don't endorse it. But if you want, more power to you, friend). The Bad As stated, the toggle to put adult content in the game doesn't do a lot to expand the experience and personally feels more like it subtracts from it. I like that it's there, but what it adds compared to what it removes just doesn't feel worth it. The game can be just a little bit jank, albeit under specific conditions. Recruits whose attacks bounce off the screen border cause the game to jitter around if you're playing in window mode. Disorienting to the point of nausea. Thankfully there's only 2 (3 if you count the fusion) recruits who have border ricochet attacks. Slowdown caused by an excess of objects, especially when a magnet powerup picks up an unholy ton of gems. This is mostly an issue in Horde Mode due to the sheer numbers of characters and projectiles flying around. While I've yet to suffer a crash from it, I've definitely had some "ohhh my pppcccccc" moments. Recruits have hitboxes and collision detection that you yourself are subject to. Meaning that more than once I've accidentally bumped into Jim and triggered his effect where people ride him into battle before jumping off at high speed, flinging me into a mob of enemies. The worst case of this occurs in Horde Mode, where the sheer number of characters mobbing around you makes it a trial in and of itself just moving around without some buffs to jumping or hovering. The only place I've seen where this doesn't apply are the 2D stages, which compose maybe 2 of the 30 levels available? No way to filter recruits prior to starting a level. If you're aiming for a specific synergy or fusion and run out of rerolls/banishes before you get it, tough beans. Fusions locked behind having a specific character (Sarah) in the squad to make them. So you either HAVE to play as Sarah (who is kinda useless against single targets because of how her fusion gun works), take up one of your limited recruit slots to call her in, or only use her in Horde Mode, where the recruit cap is removed. The Debatable Any tags related to sex and whatnot are largely locked behind the 18+ toggle, so it's not as though it's mandatory to interact with it. The lewds are so peripheral to core gameplay that in all honesty, you get LESS gameplay-related content with the toggle on. Some recruits are bosses before you recruit them, but can still show up as minibosses even after you unlock them. When this happens, the character is automatically banished from the recruit pool. The inverse occurs if you recruit them first. Fortunately does not affect synergies or fusions, as synergies whose members can be bosses generally have at least 1 alternative, and fusion components can never spawn as bosses.
looks like the vampire survivors, but without hentai content at all, such a chill game with a few levels, tho there are many dick girls and furry futas, also it says 18+ character theme but you can't fuck or get raped duh, weird. Even so I did enjoy it, great concept, wish there were more games like this, i mean with actual hentai and gorgeous arts like Universe Treasure, ge i loved the arts of that one. 5/10 no hentai elements 10/10 gameplay
Terrible adult game. But as game it's really good. Fun to play, good amount of content for a couple of days. I really like this kind of games where you don't need to mash a buttons to attack. Can recommend if you're not horny (for real, treat it as a cool indie game to avoid blueballs)
Gameplay is fun and good (Vampire survivors with a decent amount of variety), Porn is very lacking ( some NPCs can lose clothes and 1-2 nude portrait images at the time of this review). 4/5 because of the gameplay, 1/5 because of porn content so giving it a 3 is fair to me
As for me, I really like this game. Nothing complicated - just shoot and evade enemies. There is ton of unlockable characters and scenes. My only issue is after exploiting couple of rounds with powerful synergies the game can turn off your computer by overloading its memory - it usually happens at the late stages. Therefore, I recommend not to be greedy (1 000 000 gems is more thane enough!) and leave the stage. As for erotic content, it, for sure, exists, but do not expect something detailed or extravagant. But maybe someone find the artsyle pretty fappble, who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Thus, if you are searching for a rouge-like game without complicated story, to turn your brain off and just enjoy the process for a couple evenings, this one is certainly for you!
3/5 game, but a 1/5 porn game. The game's not a bad take on the vampire survivor's genre, but I don't find it enjoyable for an extended period of time. Instead of the usual weapon stacking, you add NPCs into your blob of a party. And I do mean "instead of". There is no game design mechanic that utilizes the NPCs. Enemies still path to you like a standard vampires survivor game, and the game does not have any advanced unit control beyond "death ball around me". Left alone, NPCs will follow you unless there's an enemy in range. If they see an enemy, NPCs will either stand in place and shoot, or jump into melee and stab their target, and only resume following you if they or the enemy dies. Not that dying means anything. When an NPC loses all their health, they just return to your side and regenerate back to full HP. That's the gist of the main gameplay loop. Vampire survivors, but instead of weapons you have a basic party system. Sure, the NPCs get in the way when you try to kite, but it's still a competently done system. 3/5 As for the porn part of the game... I assume it's accessed through the "breakroom" part of the main menu, since that seems to spit out a random character interaction cutscene after every mission. The only problem is the scenes are completely random and without context. There's no introduction to any of the characters, setting, or relationships, so it ends up being a random pile of lolrandom humour. With that said, "lolrandom humour" is about how I'd describe the tone of the writing. It's grammatically adequate, but character interactions and dialogue are closer to tumblr shitposts rather than actual words spoken by believable characters. Random access to maybe-not-porn scenes without context, poor writing, and a complete lack of cohesion is why I rate this as a 1/5 porn game. Only reason it's not 0 is because there's a clear art style the game aims for. Note that it might still be a 0/5 porn game. I can't actually confirm the porn is accessed through the breakroom menu, because I can't be bothered to continue playing this game. In conclusion, if you've already consumed all the other vampire survivors style games on the market, Solace Inc isn't a bad derivative of the genre. On the other hand, if you're just looking for a porn game, you can definitely do better than Solace Inc.
If you have played the previous title, you will know why the review is low. The game itself is addictive, I love it... If it weren't, again, for being a porn game. Again, there are no cutscenes anywhere, I'm even starting to doubt that there really are any, because I spent a long time playing, unlocking and grinding; and nowhere did I see scenes or indications of these. There are like 5 in the skills menu, but it's in a super chibi sprite that barely even shows any detail. So I can't even count that as a scene. In short: There is none. If you're looking for porn, there isn't any. I don't know why this artist loves to do the same thing; brother, play your normal game without fucking porn. I don't even do this by criticizing anymore, but rather by explaining how frustrating it is to see that potential completely fall apart >:/ Edit: Little did we know that the scenes that appear in the screenshots are actually images from a folder in the files and not an in-game scene. Even more unnecessary that it was nsfw.
