This is a nice roguelike with charming pixel graphics, but isn't quite fit for this website. The main gameplay loop is nice for people that enjoy rogue-like/lites, in which you choose a character and descend down floors with procedurally generated rooms filled with a good variety of enemies to fight. However, the janky camera system felt like a constant enemy I had to fight, wrangling it as I traversed through the floors and was especially annoying to keep in account of while I combatted enemies; as in the main thing you do . Along with this, there isn't really a lot of H-content at first. Not only do you actually have to enable this option in the settings , you have to sink in some time and progress to get to the actual H-content itself. TL;DR A great game to play if you love... playing games, a bad game to play if you want to just jork it.
If you love to download what you think is a porn game and instead have to suffer through what is otherwise an ok and yet extremely punishing roguelike that makes you feel stupid for getting caught on walls all the time, or not being able to jump to a place you clearly should because of the annoying jumping mechanics, then this game is just for you! The only NSFW part of the game is when you get fucked over every run and die from ridiculous bosses.
Exact definition of a game that shouldn't be NSFW The gameplay is brutal, the game in general, in aesthetics and visual style, is too good. Sadly, it's hindered by the strange decision to make it NSFW, when in reality, there are no scenes. You will tell me "But they do appear in the screenshots" or "They appear later"; I know, but whatever the point at which these scenes appear is ridiculous and, honestly, the stupidest decision made for a project like this. One was talking about the bad reviews of the game, but let's be honest: Being a RogueLike + Not having scenes at all at practically no time (I imagine you finish the game and they still don't appear); They result in a game with brilliant potential but terrible, horrible and ridiculous decision making.
Man... People really went hard with the ratings here. I'm gonna rate this as a SFW game and then talk about its H-Content. Firstly, this game got style, replayability and diversity. The first monologue at the intro is a great way to start a video game even if it doesn't follow up in a pure horror genre. The game has charm if you give the time and know how to play. You don't need to use the arrow keys to turn your field of vision every time . A lot of sound effects, various enemies, perks, secrets, memes and an unique pixelart. I really enjoy roguelikes even if Project Malice has frame issues. It runs good on window mode though. The h-content is pretty barebones ngl but not bad for a pixelart. They can be seen at the nightclub but even without them this game is freaking awesome and one of the best pixelart i've ever played.
Its kinda interesting at a glance but the overall gameplay design is a miss in my opinion. I hate having to control the camera so much and even swapping it over to the mouse wheel the rotation is so slow that I have to unlock my wheel and let it roll to have a decent rotation speed. If you don't have a mouse that has an infinite scrolling lock then it really is just a pain in the ass to keep scrolling as you turn. The concept is there and I kind of enjoy it as a roguelite but overall its very bland and slow. It really needs a lot more polishing up and a better map but overall the biggest issue is just the camera nonsense. I get wanting to add camera rotation to the game but it just bogs it down with a useless mechanic that serves no purpose other than to waste your time and obscure your vision. I do like the fog of war this game uses, I feel like fog of war is an under utilized mechanic that more games should consider, but it really doesn't help with all the other stuff going on. The controls can feel clunky at time since its 2d sprites in a 3d space that can be relatively reliant on moving the camera for better angles for combat but otherwise its very straight forward. Melee, ranged, do what you can and kill everything. There can be luck involved as you can get an entire floor with no items at all on it for like 3 floors straight or suddenly you end up getting like 4 items on a single floor and there really isnt anything you can do about that. The platforming is kinda weird since you can jump some gaps but sometimes the camera angle can fuck with you and mess it up and you gotta rotate to one that'll give you the indicator that you can jump across. Other than that the only bug I've currently run into is getting stuck in a door in the first boss room where I was just wedged into it and couldn't do literally anything. Attacks would instantly register against a wall so I couldn't fight anything and my hitbox was obscured by the door so enemies didn't know I existed, so that was a lost run. As for the porn, well, you probably have seen other people talking about it. The porn feels like an afterthought because its barely there. It takes a while to find anything but by then you're basically just playing a roguelite and the porn might as well be a nonfactor. If that's what caught your attention you might as well turn away now because this isnt a porn game. I want it to be better but it's just kinda like "okay" at best and a waste of time at worst. I could see this game being a weird obscure game that gets a cult following though.
Let me just preface this review with; !!!THIS IS NOT A PORN/NSFW GAME!! Despite the game being uploaded here, NSFW is not the focus and it takes a long time to unlock. If you're here for a regular game though, this is actually a semi-enjoyable Roguelike game The gameplay is decent with some very annoying mechanics. It's very addicting for the first hour or two and then you'll start to notice the faults it has such as; It's very hard to see the description of an item before picking it up. You as well can't see it in your inventory, you have to wait until you're at the "shop" level Levels are generated with prebuilt rooms. This wouldn't be a problem if there were more prebuilt rooms. You'll very quickly notice the levels just all being the same rooms, just with different artwork. This problem gets worse when; You easily can get lost in the level since you can end up with multiple of the same room one after another and you're unable to actually interact with the map to see where you are and where you need to go. Accidentally went into the next level without "unlocking" the portal? Good luck going through the whole previous set of levels to get to the point to unlock it again. The room to unlock the portal can be completely hidden and if you don't interact with the portal to go back to your base, you just completely won't unlock it... Even if you see the cutscene where it opens. Movement can be incredibly janky and frustrating. Add on to that how slow your character seems to move, it feels incredibly off It's a decent game that just wasn't executed the best. Addon to that expecting porn and not being able to unlock that for literal hours and it can definitely leave you with a sour taste in your mouth. From what I played though, I definitely enjoyed myself and don't regret downloading it.
NSFW content unlock many levels later, if u wanna kick in and expect compatible scenes with gameplay it will fails u. Because here is a NSFW site I will criticize the game as a NSFW game. Let's see Gameplay mechanics are kinda okay for an amateur team but nothing really special about it. Art style, camera angle and gameplay looks a little stylistic at first but mechanics are so simple and not fun so u get bored after a couple hours. Sex scenes are meh and hard to get also not the main point of the game and it's not fun to get them. If u like rogue like games there plenty good one to play if u like NSFW rogue like still there are much better games put the scenes in the right places.
I actually just own this game on steam. Unlocking nsfw content is slow. but this game just is a great roguelike. Similar to a top down risk of rain. I would just play this game with both hands for awhile if you like roguelikes and unlock a bunch of the content at once. Fair warning the content to be had is quite strange.
