"For eons, a hidden war between fallen angels and banished demons has shaped human history. Growing weary of this endless conflict, a celestial goddess and an abyssal prince forged an impossible union in the un-space of the Void. What they got was The Three. Now, centuries later, an exiled Sentinel Angel and his allies, a demon and a fallen angel, must protect the three human children who have become the vessels for these powerful, paradoxical souls. Their choices will determine the fate of both the mortal and supernatural realms. This is not a war of good versus evil, but a fight for free will itself."

While the story is interesting and engaging, the game is completely censored here. The dev is paywalling every NSFW scene with "extra" content. The dev is also claiming "extended nsfw" are behind higher support tiers but this is simply not true, every nsfw scene is behind "extra" paywall. This doesn't stop with just nsfw, some of the story action scenes are also behind this paywall. Judging by the version number, it looks like the paywall is permanent as well. You may not notice these without mods but with URM you can see all the paywall tags showing up and view dialogue of the paywalled scenes. Update log shows these paywalled scenes are added periodically, but it also seems that with every update their access removed completely from all earlier content. What this means is that there is no backlog of removing paywalled content for earlier episodes but instead everything is either paywalled or open. If you are looking for a visual novel nothing but story that's fine, if you are looking further, you won't find it here. There are a lot of other devs to support that doesn't engage in completely paywalling nsfw. Time gated paywalled content is fine but not the permanent paywall or reapplying paywall on earlier content with each update .
After 15 mins in, I know that I will stay here for the story. The world building is good, lore is understandable and story telling is adequate. But I have to deduct 1 star because of the image quality, it's a bit grainy and dark, I hope it will improve as more updates come out. Good luck dev.
Decent try at complex worldbuilding, large cast and plot. But, some glaring problems like the visuals could be made better and brighter? I mean all are very dark. Next, dialogues could be improved, they need the most upgrade and overhaul than anything else. I think, the effort is there to see, hope it will be upgraded in later updates. Although the content is long, still it needs more improvement to give a full review. I am giving full for the effort to create a story and hoping for improvement in this ambitious project. Good Luck to the dev!
I downloaded, installed, and played through the current build v1.1. Here are my conclusions. The graphics are poor or downright hideous. This applies especially to the character models, which remind me of the first Skyrim mods, before Bethesda released the creation kit in... 2011. So, my first impression is not great, another downside is the obvious, let's call them "inspirations," among which you can easily find Astarion and Geralt hybrids and Leazel with a random vampire from Downguard, not to mention Emhyr var Emreis The lore itself also looks "oddly" familiar, but it can be interesting. At least at first. Then comes the dreary and generally childish dialogue... As for nudity and sex, there isn't much of it, perhaps fortunately because the character models are truly awful. The execution of these scenes is okay, and let's just say they're built into the lore, so I won't nitpick. As I understand it, build 1.1 serves as a "tech demo" (lol) and is meant to introduce the world, so its short length isn't surprising. What's surprising is the archive size – 4.5GB! This is a game made in Python, and nothing – I repeat – NOTHING – justifies its size in current form. If I were to summarize the current content and technical aspects – I'd give it two stars. One for the lore, which has the potential to expand and – hopefully, is less focused on "adapting" "other" game worlds – and the other for the encouragement it provides to the game's creator. My advice to the creator of "Tempest" – sit down and rethink the whole thing, be more creative, and look for better sources of graphical content, because the current ones are simply hard to look at And for those wondering whether the game in its current form is worth downloading and trying to play – no, build 1.11 isn't worth downloading 4.5GB of data just to play for half an hour...
Do NOT play this game for the lewd scenes because they are absolute garbage. The story however is fucking incredible. There is so much lore and background that goes into the story. It is so well scripted and written. If you're looking for a good story and not just something to fap to I highly recommend this. You will not be disappointed. Also, those of you who live and breathe wincest in your stories, you will absolutely hate this because the MC isn't the one banging the sister. Enjoy!
At this point I do not even care about DAZ anymore. I am just here for the story, and it keeps getting better with every update. I honestly did not expect to get this invested, but now I am checking in just to see what happens next. The plot is really getting good!
nice storytelling , no choices in the prologue ( gives more focus on the start of the story ) and i really like the concept of showing the backstory to us like this. already looking forward for the next update.
There's already a four star review, but I'm gonna go a little further out on the limb. One of the biggest reasons is the dev's willingness to accept constructive criticism. So, without further ado... I have to be honest. It's not the best graphic art, but it's not bad. The animations are pretty basic, but damn, what a story! The writing is excellent! You may get some complaints that it's a bit verbose. Ignore them! The story telling is exceptional! I recommend it highly! I'd recommend you make a few signatures. It's one of the best ways to attract more folks to your title. My only criticism is the semi-transparent text box. Put a black outline around the text and do away with the text box or make it 100% transparent. The text will stand out just fine and the dark box won't detract from the view of the renders. The prologue is an excellently crafted backstory and I can't wait to begin the adventure in the next update! 10/10 on the story. Edit: As of the chapter 1 update the lighting issue has become more than problematic. I love the story, but this is supposed to be a visual novel, and the images are so dark you can't even see the characters' faces half of the time. I can't give this product a high rating until or if that gets fixed.
