About Tides of Succession
Tides of Succession is a fantasy Ren'Py visual novel by Tak Mycket, using 3D CG and animated scenes. You play Henricus's adopted heir, betrothed to Princess Lorelei after the pirate-turned-Lord offers support to King Lovell, whose Adristanian throne is weakening. You must persuade Lorelei and the king, protect your future position from ambitious lords and dangerous Spice Weavers, and navigate encounters with a curious R'ol and a cunning pirate, with romance and monster girl themes woven through the story.
The current build is Chapter 3 v0.3, released August 24, 2025, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, with no censorship. The latest update adds Chapter 3 content: 6,467 new renders, 128 new animations, 54,516 new words, and 22 new choices, bringing totals to 11,318 renders, 131 animations, 92,158 words, and 85 choices.

King Lovell’s grip on the Adristanian throne is loosening rapidly. His major allies have abandoned him, his unmarried daughter leaves him without a male successor while his enemies are growing stronger. So when the infamous pirate-turned-Lord, Henricus offers him his support, the King is forced to seriously consider the proposal. The catch - Princess Lorelei must betroth Henricus’s adopted heir, you. Alas, your future as an Adristanian Prince is not assured. Not only will you have to convince Princess Lorelei and her father to accept the proposal, but you’ll also have to protect your future throne from scheming Lords and dangerous Spice Weavers. And let’s not mention the curious R’ol or the cunning pirate who may steal your heart in the process…
