Tokyo Cop is a story-driven visual novel from Bard Novel, built in Ren'Py and presented with 3DCG artwork. You play Eddie, a male protagonist investigating a murder and helping Kathy, the sister of a friend killed in his youth. The setting places him in an unfamiliar place where he must work around an international mafia gang, police rules, and legal obstacles. Its detective and comedy tone includes choices that can lead to different endings and unlock special scenes, alongside humor, romance, and male domination themes.
The current build is complete, released on September 22, 2022. It runs on Windows and Linux in English, with no censorship. The game includes a replay gallery and 800 images, and the multiple endings let players revisit choices rather than follow one fixed path.
Developer's description
To go investigate the case and to help the sweet Kathy, sister of his friend killed in old flame of youth. Eddie will find himself, a stranger in a land unknown to him, having to deal with an international mafia gang and the obstacles posed by the laws and the police themselves. Will you be able to discover the truth about the murder of your friend? Will you be able to juggle the difficulties that the bureaucracy and the laws will pose to you? Your choices will affect the development of the game, bringing you different endings, and allowing you to unlock special scenes.
