Village of Velvet is a puzzle and management game with romance, made by mars_dog_invasion in Ren'Py. You play as a male protagonist working to grow a settlement from empty ground through match-three play. The game uses 2D CG artwork with AI CG visuals. Matched gems become resources that improve the village, while your choices shape a slow-burn bond with Lyra, a beautiful girl in the settlement. The setting is a village that grows as you clear matches.
The current build is v0.10, released June 29, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android in English, with no censorship. The latest changelog notes an initial zone release, adding the first playable zone to the village-building experience.
Developer's description
Build a village from nothing — one match at a time. Village of Velvet blends addictive Match-3 gameplay with village building and a slow-burn story of romantic, erotic or control. Every gem you match becomes a vital resource. Every resource strengthens your village. And every decision you make deepens your relationship with the beautiful Girl Lyra.
