Graphics is just too grainy and noisy for no apparent reason. Is this the kind of aesthetic the devs wanted? I think it really looks bad and doesn't really fit the whole narrative. It really looks bad. The story has funny comedic parts and has potential, but we'll see over time. And the two brother looks much older than their mom.
I do not know if anyone else has the same issue as me but just about every scene (if not every scene) is plagued by random white speckles. Hard to get into when it looks like its been near a sandblaster. If not for the less than desirable quality I experienced I would give it a 3 star, if the scenes looked higher render quality I would probably give a 4 star. Never the less in the current state I could not bring myself to even complete what is available. Will check back and give another shot down the line if it improves.
Review for Wolf in the Mansion (v. 0.3) I’m going to start by stating the obvious — the renders are not good , and that’s honestly a shame. The developer has mentioned and apologized for this several times, but it doesn’t change the fact that the visuals really hold the game back. The script isn’t the best I’ve seen, but it’s far from the worst. Overall, I actually thought the writing was pretty good. Some of the transitions could definitely use work, though — especially during moments where you’re watching an event unfold and then the story jumps back in time to fill in the blanks. Having some kind of notification or cue when the timeline shifts would make these scenes a lot easier to follow. Normally, I prefer when the narration or inner thoughts are kept to a minimum, but there were several moments that genuinely made me laugh, so credit where it’s due — some of the humor lands well. As for the main character , he’s a straight-up douche . I understand why he’s written that way, but that’s what he is. If you decide to play this game, just be prepared for that kind of personality. Overall , it’s not a bad game. I’d give it 3 stars out of 5 mainly due to the poor renders and the lack of smoother scene transitions. Despite its flaws, it’s still worth a download — especially if you’re curious about the story or enjoy this type of setting. I just hope the developer continues improving and delivers better-quality renders in future updates.
As the developer rightly points out, the graphics quality could be much better; however, I must also agree that the script seems quite good and has a lot of potential. I hope to see more updates soon.
