Positive Points: +3d render +Base idea Neutral Points: *no animation for sex scene Negative Points: -Bug, bug, bug and bug -QoL -Combat system / capture system -Patreon paywall Conclusion: I play this game in 2 differents versions and I must admit the evolution of the game tend to be worse. The original concept of an MMO World when you play both the human side and the goblin side is pretty good and give lots of possibilities. The render of the four girls and their MMO avatar are pretty sexy and some of them have different outfit (but you cannot change it at will). The different sex scene are good and the story is okay. However all this good points are in the middle of tons of bad points. Too many bugs, sidejob or chat button that doesn't work you have to go through the chat menu, if you open/close the goblin pannel during a dialogue you can't continue till you put back the pannel, if you reload from a dialogue choice you can have a rollback of the scene but the dialogue choice are still on your screen, multiple events in the same time can crash the game, the second part of an event appear at the same time of the first part. The quality of life oscillate between awfull and desastrophic, useless menu, ugly hud, no explanation of the ressources and how to get it, shitty replay menu, button that doesn't work, gain/lose of affinity/lust too discreet, beggining of a sandbox system but everything is empty you just lose time. The combat system is simple but bad, every characters have a level but you can't gain xp, not sure if some skills really work and what the point of letting the girls being more powerful, when you hit you can deal 2 dmg or 10 making the fight completly random and in top of that you can't control other party members and this will just fucked you up. One of the goblin goal is to capture the girls when they are on quest, to succeed you must lower their energy bar under 0 and one of the goblin gonna try to capture her during the 2 next turns. That the theory, but the others goblin doesn't stop to hit her, with Fara it will not be a problem because she have 55hp, but Lura have only 15 (remember you can hit at 10dmg) making her capture mostly impossible. Moreover the girls regain energy every turn so if her energy get back in positive during the 2 turn she can stop the capture and you are fucked. All this system must be completly rework. Last but no least some of the content are behind the patreon paywall!!! If it was just the part when you can undress a girl during dialogue or extra content out of the game playthrough it will be okay but it's more vicious than that. Even the game tell you that you don't have the requierement to get the scene and only patreon can bypass the problem (spoiler you can't have the requirement, like the catnip beceause the event to get it is not in the game anymore) or you will not succed beceause of the lack of time and the patreon can give you more time (I try every dialogue combination possible and you just can't get the scene). The game make you believe you can have it with better choice but no it's just a bait. Now I understand why my old save magicly disappear (whereas the save name was still in the game ram), those scenes weren't behind the paywall in older version. For all this reason I just want to put 1 harsh star, everything is buggy, tedious, grindy, frustrating and can be reward with a patreon paywall. I still believe this game can be good and I'll change my review if it ever happen. Test done in version 0.3.1
I like the concept and the characters, but -2 stars for paywall. H scenes are locked unless you subscribe to the Patreon. Harper is my favorite as an Elf. I'm not crazy about the two furries Kassia and Lura. Fasa is the loose one of the group and there is a "free" scene of her and MC having a shower together from behind...It is meh. Most of the game is boring with no payoff.
The game is not for me. The graphic style is poor, the characters are ugly, although anatomically well done. The gameplay is boring and can be irritating. The strong point is the idea for the plot, but the execution of the whole thing made me simply force myself to play. The rating applies to version 0.3.0, I only give 2 stars, the idea is good but the execution is poor. I don't recommend it.
Game design make it tedious to play and painful to see/unlock content which by the end of the day is quite nice . Also game was initially heavily pay-walled with ability to saves the game being locked out. Game still strongly rellies on FOMO and only paid version allows u to overwrite choice while at the same time it won't show you want requirements were not met. Rest is summed in below reply to dev: Main story being tied to time-table is fine for kinetic-novel but with but character specific progress that becomes parallel to progression of main story events and other characters become serious problem as those go better with sandbox. You can have both but not at the same time (unless I miss some genius idea that I'm yet to notice). Cutting game into episodes would probably offer better experience for players, example. Episode 1(Prologue) - Only hardcoded events that can't be missed till "in-game update with goblin event and after-effects" Episode 2: Proper sandbox no longer tied to time specific triggers, time for each character corruption development, side events, free-roam, and so on. Episode 3 -Manually triggered by player which will require completing specific chain-events for each character for their own progress or automatic trigger by ~ day 40 if you really want to time lock the game which if find to be bad idea. Whole thing would need decent quest log for proper event tracking for each character to not make ppl go around blindly. Proper gallery just being cherry on top. And I will stand by my statement that current state of the game is bad, regardless how people sugar coat it and how nice looking animations, story or character are. "The girls events running in real time during the MC activities is the whole point." - not exactly sure what you aim for here but if the end result is that player may miss content then it's rather bad idea, and missed content that can't be triggered again is even worse idea but if you have vision that once realized will make functional whole then please surprise me at some point. Why I suggested renpy it's coz it's probably easiest to work with since majority of the successful games here are made with it. Almost forgot.. such detailed 24h with minutes time progression will force you during event to progress to the next day if you reach 22:00 in the middle of it. Splitting day into standard morning, afternoon, evening etc. makes things much easier and in case of sandbox you can either assign limited number of actions per phase or left it uncapped. Such detailed clock feels like overdesign in this case.
I like this game, it has fun interactions between goblin and human missions. renders are nice overall. It's certainly an improvement over earlier iterations. First i would like to acknowledge that the dev listens to feedback and and there is no more time pressure to explore this game this is a step in the right direction. Where the game lacks is simply content, what's there is good but there is very little of it. Also the game engine just doesn't measure up to renpy.
Decent models, decent animations. That's the end of the positives. Incredibly boring grind for the few scenes that I found. I played for hours and could barely get anything happening in the game. There's no in or out of game guide that I could see and you're just blindly trying to figure out what on earth will trigger certain things. Fighting as the goblins is tedious and you can't control what the other goblins you lead will do so they inevitably end up killing girls you want to capture sometimes which is just a stupid mechanic. When playing as a human, there's no mechanic for you to 'help' the goblins capture the girls if that's what you want - and the fights otherwise are just tedious and boring once again. I'm sure it's at least a mediocre game if you know what you're doing, but finding that out is a slog I'm not willing to invest my time in. I was a litle harsh and honestly, at least the dev communicates and wants to fix things. Yes, it is a bit of a grind, but going back through there was also some stuff I missed that might have impacted some of the things that I was getting frustrated with so it's at least somewhat possibly my fault too. I'll wait to see more and revise my review in the future.
Not feeling this game although I didn't get far. Sat through a still background with no characters on screen while everyone talked. The text scrolls through slowly and you can't change it, super annoying. It's not Ren'Py so you aren't hiding the UI to take a screenshots even if you did find something to take a screenshot of because you hardly see the characters. Can't save when you want, this was done so you pay the developer which gives you the option to roll back choices. A big "subscribe" button floating on the right for added effect. Like I'm going to pay a subscription for this 450mb game that hardly shows any characters. Keep in mind I didn't get far into the game, I got to like day 2 and completely lost interest. That's my 2 cents.
so i tried this game a few updates back and was really enjoying the story and the beautiful renders! the girls were what drew me into the game and made me want to play it! the game is well done if not a bit slow to start and as i played i felt that it was mostly a linear story that just gave the player options of things to do each day to fill the time until the next scripted event came up! the only time i saw an exception to this was when i ran into a continuity error in the story where i was approached by a town guard while carrying one of the girls home naked and he asked me about it "happening again" or something like that. which didnt make sense to me until i did another event later that i assume was supposed to happen before i saw the other event because this time i got hassled by the same guard while carrying home another of the girls (again while she was naked) and he told me that it was illegal to be naked in the streets at night and i had to pay him off with a bribe! this was the only continuity error i found but figure it was because i did an event with one girl before doing an event with the other which i was supposed to chose after the event with the bribing of the guard breaking the game down, on the positive side i really liked the renders and the animations in the lewd scenes and the girls are all gorgeous! the character development of the characters and even the MC show real growth as they get to know each other both in real life and becoming more open from events in the game. the downside however, i feel is the slow pacing at the start and how you sit in the guild hall in game waiting for events to pop up to continue the story! i dont know if i just didnt play long enough or what but would have liked to have set up a team with the girls who werent busy on the current day to go out and do adventures! when the ability to use the goblins becomes available the goblin raiding party thing could have been fun but i guess i couldnt figure out how to do it or it hadnt been added yet when i tried to do it! it seemed most events on either the human or goblin path were pretty static and triggered after certain conditions were met! my final thoughts... well in my opinion its a nice game but id like to actually be able to go on adventures where i set up raiding parties with the girls or the goblins! the story events are nice, but wasnt a huge fan of the goblins assaulting the girls and doing lewd things with em! perhaps i stopped playing at the right time because i wasnt looking forward to any netorare scenes and was doing everything i could in the last scene i played to keep the MCs best friend girl from being used as a party toy (i wont go into more detail to avoid spoilers)! overall i thought it was a good game but there were just a few things that werent to my personal liking but im sure others who like those type of things would enjoy! would like to play again maybe closer to completion just to know how the story ends and what happens with the MCs condition! good luck with your game dev!
0.1.8.2 characters are 0 dimensional Harper is the shy man-hating feminist with her own pronouns("secretly"). Fasa is the tough girl who kicks ass. Lura is your childhood friend Kassia is the mysterious cocktease. all have one thing in common. all secretly in love with you, but the moment you show any sexual advances in beginning you will get negative relationship points and they suddenly get mad at you because none of them can show any attraction publicly for some reason. so yes the typical boring trope. everyone secretly in love with you they just dont show it. everyone's dream.... boring. but conversations are boring and occasionally annoying. story is boring(and occasionally makes no sense or contradicts itself). there are a lot of bugs, including the save/load function. some typos. H-scenes are not animated. but graphics and girls look good. some girls' avatar looks good some girl's "real life" version looks good. even when you finally unlock the playable monster the game still suffers from lousy writing. so it doesn't improve much. plus playing the monster should probably include rape of the main protags but ofc everything is so consensual with some forced dramas. the game is just very wack. not worth playing at all. and never will be worth playing unless the creator changes writing completely to not be boring and lousy. having said all that there are some sex scenes which are okay. but still not worth to play through it. because it plays like a kinetic novel despite the illusion of freedom. and ends abruptly at day14.
The first in game week is kind of a slog, and the "in game" (VR game in the game lol) systems could use some polish. After the first week the thing get more interesting quick. Great art, fun story, looking forward to see where this goes!
Version 0.2.1.2 I gave the game another go after I think 3 (?) updates since my last review. I'm improving my rating from 2 to 3 and will continue improving the better it gets. The game feels better to play now and it definitely has improved in some ways. The good compared to my previous review - There's less sensless grinding and there are much less fights than before. A wait button has been implemented to skip time until something happens so no more endless questing to progress time. - The game feels more streamlined which is huge for the player experience. I restarted a playthrough from scratch and it felt easier to get events/scenes. I wanna say the random event do feel less aggressive (it felt like it at least). - Finally some vaginal/anal and it's done right. Comforting my previous sentiment over corruption potential. - Great renders still. Still problematic - Random events. Again it definitely felt better compared to older versions but this is still the aspect that's dragging down the game the most. This game would be much more enjoyable as a VN or a sandbox with NO RNG . I don't get the idea behind random events and having to start over/save scum to see them (still no guarentee you'll succeed). In addition the save system doesn't help either. - Saving. I was under the impression that there was more freedom to when to save but I really am unsure. Sometimes it'd let you save, some times it wouldn't. So I'm really unsure if it's an intended feature or a bug. I'm pretty sure you still can't save before choices however and I'm unsure if patrons can or not. - Game still ends after a fixed amount of days. OLD REVIEWS BELOW Bit of an updated review since my initial one. I'm improving my rating from 1 to 2. Could have been 3 but on average this game is way too frustrating/confusing to warrant a 3. In addition, some basic porn games functionalities aren't available. TLDR: +Very good renders and models. +Somehow unique concept and appreciable story. +Good potential in LIs corruption. -Tedious battles. Horrible pacing/progression especially during the first in game week (which accounts for 6 playable days out of 10 in current build) -Can't save mid conversation/scene for non patrons. -Game will kick you out after day 10 saying it's over no matter your progression. Updated Review : After getting newguy42 rating notification, I decided to keep playing for a bit. Got to the part where you get kidnapped by the goblins. From there, you can choose to play as a monster (goblin) or keep playing as a human. The game does get a lot more interesting from there. You'll still aimlessly spam repeatable quests but there's a lot more eye candy and scene diversity/options. Thus I'm glad I didn't completely drop it as I could see the game potential. However, another major issue I noticed continuing playing is how the game is scripted. You currently have 10 playable days, pretty much nothing story wise happens during the first half and you are left with 3 days to try and play with the different routes the game offers. Past day 10, the game kicks you out to the menu and you can't explore other paths unless you load a previous save. That means you can't play the goblin/hero paths simultaneously and get all the content which is frustrating because there is no indication regarding what content is available. So you'll just be groping for the right path/answer until you stumble upon a scene. Finally, please discard the XP/leveling up part of my initial review as it seems to be unconsequential for the game. It's not even possible to reach level 2. Gist of the review stands however. Very first review: Been wanting to try this for a while because of the really appealing preview images. I played for one hour and uninstalled the game. I spent this whole hour repeating one or the other repeatble quest available through the main menu. Sometimes, the quest will auto success, sometimes you'll fight a goblin horde. First off, the combats are painfully long. Now I imagine they get shorter once you level up but uh... Takes 500 xp to get to level 2 and you get between 3 to 7 xp or so per quest. A battle lasts around 1 minute. Wtf? I was around 1/3 of leveling up after 1 hour of doing the exact same thing: Do one of the 2 available quests, interact with one of the LIs when the prompt is available through the "message" tab, get disconnected from the VR at 10PM, go to school during the morning, come back home to the VR. Rinse and repeat. I didn't see any progress during my short playthrough. I'm usually very patient and generous with my ratings, especially for new projects but the pacing of this game is so bad it made me drop it. Maybe more tangible and meaningful content starts kicking in right after I quit I don't know, but doing the same thing over and over with no result isn't compelling. Second issue I found is not being able to save whenever you'd like. It's only available for patrons but I don't understand why you'd want to deprive free players from the most basic feature a seggs game could have. It's only frustrating not being able to save in the middle of a scene, especially when galleries aren't a given. On a positive note though, renders and characters are really hot from the little I saw. Good luck with the game.
I hope for more content and the corruption to start earlier but all in all a great game. You can only save during the "login screen" moments but I would like to be able to save before every choice since rollback can't be a thing. But still a nice game so far
The gameplay aspects are surprisingly polished for only being out since May based on the thread publish date. Focused mainly around the VR world the Player and girls are testing, with what appears to be a planned skill system as well as multiple sidequests and jobs available for both the Player's guild as well as the band of monsters he will be leading. Have to say it's a refreshing change of pace from most VN games. The girls are also a major part of any game like this and I have to say they don't disappoint. Hitting all the major niches both in the games "Real World" and the Virtual world they are spending the majority of their time in. Add this to the fact there is more than enough room narratively and in the games strutcture for future additions, there won't be a lack of choices. Overall a really solid framework that I hope gets seen through unlike so many other games on this site. Also if the creator ever needs any help I would be happy to volunteer my services.
Review v0.1.3.0 The combat is ridiculously slow! Until this is fixed the game is basically unplayable. There are a variety of women you meet off the bat and play a game. You do quests and sometimes do battle. You are not a monster which is what I expected based on the description. There are two quests at the start but the combat is so slow taking multiple minutes to complete. There are no interesting animations or any skills. There is so much missing or so little damage that I can't believe anyone thought this was ok. There does seem to be a story in here but I just can't sit through minutes of nothing to play this game. You have to have a lot of patience for this game.
[Rev @ Wyldspace v0.1.2.3] Is 'concept boner' a thing? Love the art. Girls are a tad on the Needs A Sammich side, but I have no complaints. Humbly beg for cowgirls. Writing is fine. Characterization is a bit thin at the moment, but it's an early release and not below the curve for such so I have no substantial complaints. Like the porn thus far. Really enjoy the fact that [at least] one of the girls has her own functioning libido and enjoyment. Spoiler: A scene complaint. The rape trauma scene hit a bit hard and I worry it'll be hard to handle that character's recovery going forward without being gross, but I understand its place in the narrative so no major score knocks for it just yet. Holy shit I love the idea of the monster sex corruption stuff (if handled to my own overly-specific tastes). My main gripes are: lack of a useful skip function for dialog / battle / seen events / daily humdrum cycle. The level curve also seems a bit glacial but I get the need to parse things out with early releases. TLDR: Pleeeeease keep it up. <3
Fun quest/combat mechanics, amazing quality renders, cool story. I hope to see more lewd content in the early stages in the future updates. I would also like to see more player feedback like girl affection stats and such.
