A Tainted Space is an adult science-fantasy steampunk RPG by Cgfhy1 and danny512, made with Ren'Py. It uses 2D and AI CG art. The story is set in a grim future where a dying sun has left humanity in permanent twilight. You play Medora.C, a new recruit in S.T.A.I.N., a hunter association defending Corsair against the Tainted Ones. It plays as an RPG with dialogue choices and turn-based combat while uncovering mysteries about the city, the monsters, and what Medora is becoming.
The current build is v0.2, released on June 11, 2026, and development continues. It is a prologue build with more than two hours of content, available on Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, uncensored. The update adds a full prologue, a complete turn-based battle system, and choices that begin to shape Medora's path. It also includes updated sprites, reworked presentation, bug fixes from v0.1, and improved dialogue for the HQ scene.

Inspired by Attack on Titan, Bloodborne, and Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun, *A Tainted Space* blends transformation, growth, and grim science-fantasy mystery. Beneath a failing sun, the city of Corsair stands as one of humanity's last refuges, besieged by the Tainted Ones and stranger things still. Holding the line is S.T.A.I.N., the Hunter Association: soldiers, monster-slayers, and zealots fighting a war they are slowly losing. As Medora.C, you'll uncover what Corsair is, what the Tainted Ones are, and what you are becoming. Because nothing in this world is quite what it claims to be.
