About AshFall
AshFall is a 2D browser game by Jake Martin, built with HTML. It casts you as the male survivor of a dead world, where only you and another person remain after a global apocalypse. With civilization gone, your goal is to keep your bloodline alive and rebuild society from ruins. You scavenge food, water, tools, and materials, then build shelters, workshops, farms, and settlements. The gameplay centers on management as children grow, laws develop, economies form, and future generations inherit what you create. Its slow story follows survival and expansion in a ruined setting.
Development is ongoing; the current public release is v29.6, dated October 22, 2026. It runs on HTML/browser platforms and is available in English with no censorship. The latest update brought broad population systems, settlement control, survival systems, family advancement, first-person play, hunting, pregnancy, schooling, legal rules, and long-term civilization growth.
Developer's description
The world is dead. After a global apocalypse, only two survivors emerge from the ash: you and another survivor. With civilization gone and humanity on the brink of extinction, the future of the species rests entirely in your hands. Scavenge the ruins of the old world for food, water, tools and materials. Construct shelters, workshops, farms and entire settlements while guiding future generations through survival, growth and expansion. Children rapidly mature into adults, settlements develop their own laws and economies, and generations inherit the future of your bloodline. Train workers, hunt wildlife, build infrastructure and manage every aspect of rebuilding civilization from nothing. Will your descendants restore humanity... or will your family line vanish forever?
