About Break Chance Memento
Break Chance Memento is a 2D CG kinetic novel by Cyanide Tea, built in Ren'Py. You play as Shuuki, whose family was broken four years earlier when his twin sister Fuyuka died at twelve. His parents blamed his eldest brother Natsume, and the Amamiya household never recovered. When Shuuki finds another brother, Masaharu, murdered, the mysterious Kyousuke offers him a way to bring him back and mend the family by learning time travel. The story becomes a darker plot where mementos link past, future, and present, giving Shuuki a chance to stop innocent people from being killed.
The current build is v1.3, a released version rather than a demo or final build, dated December 16, 2015. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux in English, and it is uncensored. The game is a gay horror romance with no sexual content.
Developer's description
Four years ago, Shuuki's world was turned upside-down when his twin sister, Fuyuka, died in an accident at just 12 years of age. His parents blamed her death on the negligence of their eldest son, Natsume. The Amamiya family was never the same. Spoiler: More One fateful morning, Shuuki stumbles across the gruesome sight of his brother Masaharu's corpse. When all hope is lost and Shuuki must come to terms with the fact that his brother has been murdered, the mysterious Kyousuke appears before him with a proposition: "Do you want to bring your brother back? To fix your family's broken relationship? You can…if you learn to travel through time." Before he knows it, Shuuki is caught in a plot far more sinister than he could have ever imagined. He learns that the key to traveling through time and stopping innocents from being killed lies in mementos: items that are a link between the past, future, and present.
